Yeah, not thinking about it. More concerned right now its too windy to light a fire in the fire pit for smores tonight for the fam 😂

You just can't think about it.   Whenever I am visiting my daughter at college,  I don't think about the fact that I am an hour from Pinehurst and 40 minutes from Tobacco Road .

Speaking of vacations... we head out Thursday morning... please send prayers or whatever you believe in for my sanity... 7 people in a SUV for two days... 
 
 

Bahhhh that sucks. I try to just get out once on vacations and that’s about it. Gotta set that precedence 😂. Eventually when it’s no kids vacations will be only golf related 😂😂😂😂

I agree with this whole-heartedly.  I know trying to keep everyone happy is an impossible and frustrating task, and I do appreciate what the league admins do.
 

Isn't it a bummer when someone reads one of your favorite books but doesn't enjoy it like you did? I've found myself hesitant to recommend books sometimes just from the fear of them not liking it - there is a weird vulnerability for me in sharing books with others, not entirely sure why.
One of my all time classics is East of Eden by Steinbeck. And recently, from the fantasy genre I really enjoyed the Mistborn series.

I really like his short story called Hills Like White Elephants. It tells the story of a woman's difficult story, her relationship with a man who does not love her. I recommend hills like white elephants to read you will definitely think and look at our lives differently.
I was also strongly hooked by the heroine's phrase "what is missed, will never return" - it was felt that she dropped her hands and she had no strength left to fight for herself.

my 8th grader just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird - he didn't like it but it is one of my all time favorites.... high schooler is reading The Catcher in the Rye - another classic
One of the funniest I've ever read is A Walk in the woods - the movie did not do it justice.
My favorite genre is nonfiction and there are so many incredible stories out there - Unbroken is absolutely incredible...hard to believe it was even real. 
Alive and Into Thin Air were both stunning as well.
I suppose I could go on and on. I'll have to come back and edit as I recall more.

I don't know if this violates the Morale Codes with regards to religion, but The Bible is my favorite book.  Granted, it's more than a book, and perhaps you were referring to a specific genre of book, not something as unique as The Bible.
Honestly, the subject is too vague for me to answer.  Favorite fiction book?  Favorite non-fiction book?  Favorite biography?  Favorite historical fiction/non-fiction?
Yeah, I can torpedo any thread, depending on my mood and day.  Sorry for the distraction.   😔

Read it many years ago - still remember the impact that it had on me.

We have a favorite author thread so why not do favorite book. Like some have done in the author one you can put best book by genre. 
 
It's sad to say but some of the best books I've read were in high school. The two best books I've ever read and truly enjoyed were:
1984 & The Great Gatsby 

Played at The National again this morning (last time before we head back north). I played so much better than Monday. I shot a 90 which included 77% of fairways on the front. I birdied the first par 5 on the back and parred the monster par 5 16th. I was striking the ball so much better today than I have for this trip. I can't wait to get home and take it to Windmill to see how I do.

I plan to be disgruntled regardless of the outcome. But that’s because it’s nice out today and I don’t get to play golf. Bullsh*t!!!!

Either way the MODs decide this week should go it is good with me.
