  1. Never really gave up anything in totality, just dont camp, hike, fish, and hunt like I used to since golf really took hold.
  2. Wrist injury seems to be healed and tonight I took out my full bag instead of just wedges. Even brought along my new Cobra F9 driver. Working on grip, flying right elbow, and swing plane Hit the ball real well with the occasional head scratcher. To be expected since Ive been injured since Dec. Pleased with driver and excited for more time with it. Starting lessons on the 24th and hope to solve my over the top.
  3. Edgewood Tahoe had guys on 18 ready to clean your clubs and shoes for tips. Local CC has free water, ice, and tees. They also have coolers full of ice on their carts. Nothing too fancy but appreciated.
  4. Back in the game a bit after hurting my wrist at work back in late December. Last night was some light hitting with wedges. Worked a a grip tweak and on my over the top issue Tonight was more of the same but added some full 7i shots as well
  5. Stickin with ProV1 for most rounds once it dries out and warms up.
  6. My current golf goal is to just hit a club. Hurt my wrist at work Dec 22 2020 and spent two months locked in a wrist brace sitting at home. Just went back to work on light duty 8 days ago. Short term. Being able to play. After that I will be working on a grip change and work on being less steep.
  7. I just dont get home in two often so not many eagles on my resume. I dont hit driver off the tee often these days so thats part of it. #1 hole at my home course I will run one up a few times a year in the summer but have yet to eagle it. Put a new driver in the arsenal and just tonight I changed my grip slightly so Im hoping that helps my squaring up issue.
  8. I stopped playing for the most part to raise my daughter so missed Bandon in the early days. I believe Juniper is on their 3rd course but I could be wrong. Wherever the course was in the late 80s and early 90s is the one I played. The course down in Lakeview is closing this Sept. so Im going to go get that one. along with Christmas Valley course. Arrowhead is a great course. Id like to join but logistically not perfect. Live in Keizer but work in Woodburn.
  9. The fir needles from the neighbors tree add up fast and a whole other issue. We trade walnuts and walnut leaves for needles. Gorgeous trees just messy.
  10. Finally got all the downed branches and limbs hauled off from the back yard from Oregons ice storm. It took 3 full truck loads stacked high to get it done.Got about a half cord of word from just big limbs for the fire pit. If I could only get a tree faller over to take out a few trees, it would really be a great day.
  11. That is messed up. I spoke with the organizer if my area at a golf show about a year ago and I left not getting a great vibe about it. We have 2 small circuits so I dont think it really took off.
  12. Much less for multiple reasons. Courses were too crowded for my liking so I didnt renew my membership. Crazy packed especially with people crossing in to Oregon from Washington to play. Being essential I was working more OT so that cut in to it as well. I was also working PT at a range doing club repairs, and at times so that took my playing time as well. Lots of people pulling out old clubs wanting grips and lots of broken shafts.
  13. Power back on late last night. Drove around my home course and the place is mutilated with a couple houses taking big hits from big trees. On to clean up.
  14. 14th hour no power. Every saw in town is sold as well as generators. Long line at all food places and gas stations. if there is power. Hanging around mid 30s with some light rain. My trees took major damage as did most people. Power company came and cleared lines in my area but no power as of yet. Maybe tomorrow. Ice still on trees but melting off. I took my food to a buddies and living out of cupboard and propane stove along with 1000s of others Id assume. If no power tomorrow I might go stay elsewhere. This ice storm was no joke for us. Be safe as I hear its hitting other parts of country soon.
  15. Its ugly and there will be no power anytime soon. Clinging to hope no more damage and my walnuts stay intact and dont hurt my house or my neighbors. Still raining lightly at 29 degrees. Limbs falling are increasing again but nothing like a a couple hours ago.
  16. Lost power and it was quite the show with the lines coming down. Neighbor a few doors away has hole in her roof. Most of Keizer has no power. Its quieting down outside but day light is still an hour away. My walnut trees are still a concern.
  17. So spooky outside. Transformers popping, and trees/branches falling everywhere. Sounds like a war zone with all the popping. Ive lost a good portion of a birch and one limb caught the house which is what got me up. Brushed it. Neighbor lost a limb while I was outside that hit the cable to a light pole. Moved the top about 3 feet. Thought it was coming down. Going to be a long day until it gets above freezing which isnt for another 4 hours.
  18. Oh man..rough trip. I wondered if you would bail yesterday with all the snow and ice in the forecast. Pretty much have had freezing rain here in Keizer since Thursday night. Its 330 am here and Ive had a restless night worried about trees around my house.Power out all over and trees coming down. Roaming FB I see my sister had a tree come down about 1sm that just missed her house. I dont lose power much at my place but Im going to shower while I can, bundle up, survey my neighborhood.
  19. I work PT doing club repair at a golf shop. I think I've installed more MCC+4 than any other grip. I'm not a fan of the MCC as my hands will sweat and I play in the rain and they just don't cut it for me. Rough on my hands as well. Others love the MCC. I dont like the extra on the right hand except on the short irons. 9i and my wedges all have extra wraps bottom hand.
  20. Sorry to hear about your dad. Might want to check the weather as it seems PDX is getting some real snow tonight and tomorrow Salem has a pretty good ice layer with a dusting of snow and even more ice coming tonight and tomorrow.
  21. I was just looking at golf bets last night. Short look and its not for me. Used to play a ton of cards and played the horses, but I dont part with my money easily on gambling anymore Vegas 3x in the last few years and I maybe gambled $50. My family vacations as a kid was to drive to Reno so I get the thrill but Ive seen the bust a few times. I will put a few bucks on the course to keep me focused with certain budddies. Good luck
