  1. 1. Have you purchased any golf products based on MyGolfSpy reviews? (Please list which ones.) A couple of drivers (Ping G410, Cobra F9), SkyTrak launch monitor for my garage, Edel wedges, and Maxfli Tour balls. I do not solely use MGS but your info starts the research. 2. How has MyGolfSpy changed the way you think about golf equipment? I don't believe the hype and can read through the marketing BS 3. Have these purchases lowered your scores? (List which products and how much they have lowered your scores.) Probably not as much as working out has. 4. How have these purchases helped you enjoy the game more? How? Hitting balls more solid has been the main thing and knowing I am actually getting what I expect.
  2. How about a deep dive into launch monitor numbers? I have a SkyTrak and understand what the numbers are trying to tell me but I don't understand how much of a change in a number is significant, or which numbers are the most beneficial to monitor. I am sure each device may vary in what it is good at and what it is not.
  3. For me the key is distance not so much shape. Other than driver and 3metal (wood to me), I want the rest of my clubs to go the same distance every time. I know my tendency is left with most irons (thanks to shotscope), so I do am right of where I want the ball to finish. I do play half shots and know how to make a 5 iron go 100yds or 3 iron go 150. I can hit fades or draws if behind a tree but other than that I play the shot shape my swing has for that day.
  4. Why change the ball when all you need to do is make the fairway grass length longer so the ball does not roll 40 yards. You can also make the greens smaller by adding more fringe or rough around the edges. All that saves on some maintenance cost. Also, any changes to the ball will just add more cost for us mortals to pay for the R&D for the pros.
  5. Put me down for 95 mph. Happy to get that high at this point. Have not stopped my strength training part of my training, so pleased to see that tick up. My trainer expects me to be at the 98-100 mark by mid April. I trust I will get there but just not before this is over. Hope this can be started next off season to help keep me motivated. Thanks for organizing this.
  6. You can put Par4Success Training for my speed system. I've been with them for a few years now and I feel great as well as getting more swing speed..
  7. I have not checked in is a while but I am up to 95 with driver. Hoping to crack the 100 mark by mid Feb. My trainer is very happy with my progress.
  8. At what points do you want updates? Any time, once a month, every two weeks? A week ago I took a measurement for my trainer and I am around 93 and max was 94 now.
  9. Hello - Can I get in this? l am already using a golf training group and have a goal to go from my current speed of 90 mph to 102 mph by spring. This will help me stay focused on my training workouts, if I know others are watching. Plus, I am curious how other golfers increase their speed. I will use a Skytrac to measure my speed and Par4Success is who is providing my training program. My focus now is to add muscle to add power, since my metrics say I should be jumping higher and throwing farther.
  10. I am surprised no one has mentioned the cats (Tigers Eye, Panther Run) or Tidewater. I usually play one of these and Rivers Edge and Crow Creek every time I go. I'll throw in Meadowlands and Caper Fear (closer to Wilmington).
