  1. Michelle has always been a draw and made a ton of money. I am not 100% sure why considering her career has been relatively mediocre. I guess it is because of her very young start and making a name for herself very early. I guess it is because she is fairly attractive and has pretty good international appeal being american born Korean (I think, maybe Japanese). I think she is someone that you could see take say a Dottie Peppers place at some point or something like that. She is well spoken and has a pretty good personality. I think she would do well interviewing the younger players.
  2. There are many ways to enjoy a round of golf. I have played some absolute dogs of courses in both design and condition and had a great time because of company or other factors. Generally when I am playing I look at condition and course layout. I look for something that is interesting or unique. I like playing hilly and tree lined courses. I really enjoy the mountain courses around my area in Reno, NV. With Tahoe, and the Sierras right in my back yard Mountain courses are soo much fun.
  3. I read through all the post and almost lost track of what the original post asked. haha. So many good courses I want to at some point play. Based on your original question, my answer is Pebble Beach. There is soo much other cool stuff in the Monterrey area that the kids will be happy. My wife will be happy and I will be happy. Plus there are some other awesome courses in the area. Bayonet and black horse, some course up in Carmel etc etc etc.
  4. I am going to go out on a limb here. Based on what I am seeing. Which as Plaid mentioned is very little and kinda hard to judge. Here is what I am thinking. You have average club head speed and want a driving iron. Maybe not the best idea but ok no biggie. I like driving irons too. You want some help getting it air born and turning over. With you there. Here is my suggestion. KBS hybrid 65 or 75 gram stiff flex. It is light enough that you should be able to generate some speed with it and get the ball air born. https://kbsgolfshafts.com/shop/tour-graphite-hybrid-prototype/
  5. I never cheat. I just play by a different set of rules... My own.
  6. I want Wilson to survive and be successful mainly for one reason. They are the last of the old dogs. Macgregor gone, Hogan, yes revamped but not the same. Wilson needs to stick around.
  7. That is a picture of the speedzone extreme. That is their high MOI model geared towards high handicaps. There is another model that looks better and is awesome.
  8. The M6 may be one of the easiest to hit fairway woods of all time.
  9. I am thinking they are out of business. I tried calling the number and it is disconnected.
  10. Clevelands problem was being bought by Srixon and the decision to make Srixon the quality stuff. Cleveland had a great rep in the US. Srixon makes good stuff but is an asian brand. tough to sell when you do not have your stuff in stores. Mizuno and cobra I think are about to break out and become very good brands throughout the bag.
  11. completely agree. The cortex is a prime example. It was a decent driver. Not amazing but decent. We got eight in our store and at the $499 price we sold one. The rest are currently in a 50% off bag waiting to be picked up.
  12. I sent them an email. Their history link confirms they are the company that produced the rzn balls for Nike. It looks like they have continued to develop the ball.
  13. looking at this. I feel Wilson kinda missed their mark again with the price. $229 is about $30 to high.
  14. Interesting.. How do you place an order?
  15. i so want one of these. Depending on battery life and range. There are 3 courses I could just ride this too.
  16. True. I did zero in on just part of your statement. I do find it a little relevant though. I see confusion every day though. I work in golf retail and it is crazy the number of people that come in with no idea what golf ball is what. I do agree, I like options.
  17. There is actually very good research and documentation that too many choices can be a bad thing. https://www.coglode.com/gem/choice-paradox
  18. As I understand it, Ping bought most of their patents. So maybe we are seeing what they would have done. With just a different name.
  19. oh man, those are filthy good.. I would love to have me some Muira irons.
  20. I could see these 3 being the next "big three" in just a few years. I am a bit surprised by the 4% as well. Which tour pro was it that said "soon you will have tour pros hidding in the woods trying to swing like Wolff". I think it was Max Homa. Regardless, I am excited for the young crop of players. They all seem to be unique and less cookie cutter tour pro. Swings are individual. Going to be a fun few years as these guys mature.
  21. Very true.. Maybe their sales were more regional. I saw a bunch of Nike stuff go out the door of the shop I work at part time. You most likely have far greater insight into equipment sales as a whole than I do. So I will of course defer to your knowledge base. My comment about being close was more directed at the quality of their product. Not so much towards the sales. They had a rough start and I think that to some degree created a much steeper climb. Their last few releases were very good though. As far as design is concerned. With as big of a sporting goods monster that Nike is, if they left the market. It was for a reason. I selfishly wish they could have hung on a few more years.
  22. I didn't think to look there. No seems to know anything. they must not be very popular.
