  1. Z star is an excellent ball. Prior year version going for 22 a dozen on the web. No brainer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Have any of the spies out there checked this item out or are any of you using it? Intriguing in that the gps unit and launch monitor are in one handheld device. Set up looks simple and it provides some basic launch info for about 450-500 bucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I use them regularly on the range for alignment purposes by laying them flat, for drills to draw or fade by placing 5-10 yards ahead of you etc. they do not take up much room in the bag and if you live in cold weather places you can use the driveway markers for snowplowing, they work fine. A group called toursticks.com has a training video on the web. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks thus far. I recently was fit for my irons and have my specs for them. Last year moved to a tour edge exs driver with tensei ck blue 2g 60 stiff. Hit it ok then ordered UST Gold 55 and 60 regular, tip prepped added adapters. I now have 3 shafts for the 1 head. My speed has dropped into the 90-95mph range and the UST shafts have improved distance and dispersion. Still looking for some help with it and replacing 3 wood shaft Tour Edge Exotics EX9 that is stock and stiff. Any suggestions on ACCRA replacement fit appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have been receiving emails from a retailer about accra shafts. Has anyone ever used an accra concept shaft? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I play a lot of different balls, Snell makes a quality product and decent price in bulk. I have also played VICE pro plus which I found to be a great ball. Took a dozen to AZ for golf trip figuring I would lose several after recovering from knee and achilles surgery...and of course did not lose one. Cover is not the most resilient out there. At end of year I bought some 4 pc Honma balls on GolfBalls.com for $22.95 a dozen. Fly great, hold greens and they are my go to ball in early spring where we have a lot of soft lost plugged ball days. I would suggest giving them a try. Great deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I had a great experience at Club Champion, but I came in with a budget and wanted to get fit for one or two irons I was interested in. My fitter started out that he was NOT selling me clubs but helping me find what would work best and that was what I had been scheduled for. He allowed me to hit all the iron heads I selected and lined up numerous shafts, modified loft and lies for me. I was interested in the PXG’s and the manufacturer was running an online deal. I live in Ohio and it is snowing so a PXG fit was not possible. Loved the PXG’s, Srixon’s and Taylormade 790’s. Got my specs and ultimately ordered direct through Club Champion. The fitting and specs were worth the investment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just went through this same quandary. Thought of ordering with specs irons online direct from PXG or Hogan. Best move ever was to go to club champion and get an iron fitting. They had so many shafts and heads it was truly awesome. I am 6’4 so it was great to have the right club length and for them to bend up each head to get me optimum specs on numerous shafts. My club head speed had dropped from my last Ping fitting approx 3 years ago, but the balance of that fitting was spot on except for shaft. I determined through the process that 1. I am mortal., 2. A regular shaft isn’t always regular and the same for stiff. 3. Fitting honed in the best dispersion, spin, carry and roll out for me. 4. I was left with the data and the opportunity to open my wallet and choose what I wanted, could afford and what I could live with. Goto a true pro shop for this, not Dicks or the galaxy. There are a lot of tricks to the fitting and interpretation of the data. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Greenwalker Been Playing for 30 years What I love about golf is the ability to challenge myself daily with this “stupid” game and to meet a lot of great people on the course and through my travels I have followed GolfSpy for a long time and find a lot of the info to be very helpful on equipment. Thought it would be great to reach out to others with like interests. I know no others on the forum. I live between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio. Play most rounds at Westfield CC. Best and worst items of living here are the fact that our courses are awesome in the spring, fall and summer. Worst is that we are closed for winter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Time to clean off all these old posts of items sold or traded. For every listing there are 5 that are already sold. If you want to keep a history as to who has bought/sold what it could be listed in each members profile. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Recently got my pxg 211’s at Club champion. Love them. PXG is currently running a deal at $125 a club online with some added costs for various shaft/ grip modifications. This is not a heroes program cost but linked to the date 2/11/20. Go get em. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Last year played at McDowell Mountain. Got a good deal and played as a solo. I like playing early am and they held me up until exactly 7 before they cut me loose. Day 2 was paired with a senior woman who was a very good golfer and a better playing partner you would never find. Course was in great shape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I was recently fitted in AZ by PING at Scottsdale Kierney Course. The fitter used the PING I Phone App to determine that I have a slight arc, vs. straight back and through. I have an I phone 6 Plus and the cradle is too small to try this myself and to determine what issues this app may be right on or junk. (I ordered a putter). Do any of you know if there are different sized cradles available? Second, have any of you used the software/app and found it to be useful in evaluating tempo, etc. Thanks in advance for any replies.
