  1. I'd play Chambers. Easy enough to drive the hour to get there. If you have never played it, I'd recommend leaving your golf shoes at home and bringing some very comfortable running style shoes. Or at least swap out your golf insoles with something very soft and forgiving. The ground is almost cement and it is very hilly. Give your feet a chance. 2. I'd rate the m3 as a GI iron. I don't think that it is significantly different than the m4. I've hit them both and would say that the p series is a more exciting option. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. I went through a putter fitting at the Club Champion near me this spring. I thought it was well worth it. I have always been a poor putter, more 3 putts than 1 putts. I do keep track of my putts every round and last year I was at 36.6, it was holding my scoring back. In the previous 3 years I had tried an odyssey #7 a #9 and a ping Kinloch sigma g. So, basically the whole range of styles. The fitting suggested I should be using a mid mallet, with 2* more loft than I was using. I was spot on for length and lie. So at least I had figured that out via trial and error. I t

  5. I made a swing adjustment last year and now struggle to get enough backspin to keep the ball in the air. When I got fit for the G30 LST it got me to about 2100rpm, but after last season I couldn't get more than 1200 rpm. I play a slight draw and somewhere lost all my backspin. Which, if I lived in Phoenix might be good, but in the PNW, there are a number of months that you get zero roll. The 400max with the alta cb stiff got me back up to 2200 rpm, about 20 more yards of carry and about 2 more fairways per round. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. The practice mode is okay, but not worth the money IMHO. But being able to adjust loft makes a very noticeable difference in accuracy. I think it's default value for 7 iron is 34, if you are using one of the new Callaway or taylormade 5 irons that are mistakenly labled as 7's at 29 degrees it would make a significant difference. 8. I used the G30 LST for 3 years, before switching to the G400 Max this season. Both have been great. For me Ping drivers have proven to be the most accurate. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  10. So, what did you decide? With just a week, I would recommend just doing Bend and Portland. Pronghorn & Tetherow are amazing, pumpkin Ridge is great and there are plenty in between. And while gamble sands is my favorite, saying it is in the "area" is a long stretch. Doing a Seattle trip with Chambers, Suncadia, Newcastle, and Salish Cliffs would be a while trip unto itself. Then, you always have Bandon waiting for that epic trip. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  11. Hi all. Just joined the forum, but thought I would throw out my 2 cents on this product. I have been using it for almost a year now for every practice session. And I would say that it overall exceeded my expectations. Setup is fast and easy. I use the home depot brand alignment sticks (I. E. The snow bank markers that they sell for $3). Setting the SC 200 exactly a measuring stick behind the ball makes it work great. The overall review on this is pretty spot on. I have used it in conjunction with 2 other launch monitors and it is close enough to them that I trust it to be more a
  12. So, I have tried these the last couple weeks as I got 2 dozen for free at the Seattle golf show. Normally I play srixon z-star or chrome soft. But like most I have hit about everything under a urethane cover. So, that's my comparison. Driving: they feel about like an B330RX. Noticeably harder than the more premium balls, but not bad. Irons: I thought this was the best part about them. Very near premium feel and action for me. Wedges: least favorite part about them. Couldn't get the spin I liked around the green and they felt hard. Basically an e6. Putter: I couldn't tell
  13. I used the flat cat solution all last year, never could come to terms with the weight. Used it on a ping sigma g Kinloch, found it worked best for me left hand low. I really wanted to like it, but back to a standard grip this year and have never putted better. Sure it had nothing to do with practice and an Er2...
  14. I was in Tampa for the first time back in January. Tried to find some warmth away from the rain in Seattle. Instead found the coldest week in Florida history or something silly like that.
  15. Thanks all. So many forums to read, so little time.
  16. Hello all. Like many here I am an avid golfer, and a maybe more avid gear nut. After 30 years of golfing I am still hunting for my first Ace. It will probably come off a hosel rocket that orphans a squirrel and dents the flag stick. But I will always imagine a purely hit 6 iron, slightly drawing, that lands tight and trickles in. My favorite hole in golf is #16 at Bandon Dunes. It has the combination of beauty, risk and reward that makes a hole fun the 1st time and the 100th time. As a 22 handicap player years ago, I started a round off with an eagle 3 on the first hole, and holed
