Just got home from a fitting for the mavrik to see if last night was an anomaly.. it’s was not. Mavrik max with riptide 50 reg shaft for me was the best feel and performance I’ve had in years. Tried the speed zone in same shafts and set up and the mavrik max was a monster.. both myself and the fitter were amazed at the difference. Just wrapped up testing and baselined with my 410 as suggested. Longest with 410 was 225, avg 217. Learned that from following this group. mavrik with evenflow riptide 50 shaft longest was 237 with ball speed consistently 130 avg 227. Tried all three heads, multiple shafts l, threw in the speed zone and the mavrik max with set up just clicked for me. I tried both cobra drivers tonight and I was not impressed by either of them. Callaway mavrik max was amazing, out did my g410 plus right off the shelf with out and tweaking. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I demo’d the mavrik max tonight and it was amazing. First swing off the rack with out any adjustment and it went 225. Not afraid to admit that is 3 yards longer than my best drive recorded on arccos with my 410 plus last year. I’m heading back tomorrow and get fit for it and see where we can get it. There are some great SGI options out now. Cobra t-rails, Cleveland, Wilson .. certainly wait for the ones your naming above to come out but some very good options out there. Good luck and for sure go get fit . Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

If your looking at cobra , I just tried the new t rail hybrid/iron combo and liked them so much I got fitted and bought them . I have played the ping g700’s last 2 seasons and was just not “feeling it” can’t explain what it is but the cobras felt awesome with heaps of forgiveness. Seen a couple other posts on the new Cleveland launchers and also Wilson launch pad. Lots of new tech out this year for us hackers. The best advice I ever got was from these forms and it was to absolutely get fit for your clubs, get something that is set up for you and your swing. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I tried the cobra T-rail today and like I posted in another thread, they are freaking amazing if your looking to for a game improvement iron. The miss hits were good and the flush hits were fantastic. As someone who struggles with consistency I was floored by how well I hit them. I just tried the new cobra t-rails and not sure what your in the market for but if your looking for a club that is a rocket ship and almost impossible to miss hit you need to try them out. I tend to over research things and that is my one concern with the hmb’s they are sort of a game improvement iron but not a full on gi. The t300 were amazing.. but I don’t want to jump on anything until the madness of the new club releases happen in the spring. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Inconsistent I’d also go with frustrating, hopeful and improving. Some days I feel like I’ve turned that corner and then literally the next day it’s like I’ve never played before. I’m continuing to work on my game and taking lessons, winter has set in here in the great white north so it’s inside for me now. I’ve had some changes body wise this year with some weight loss so I’ll be getting refit over the winter and see if that makes a difference. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

It’s easy to use, I certainly use the old measure twice cut once motto. I take at least 2 measurements each flag. I had my 10 year old “caddie” for me yesterday and she was a pro using it after a couple holes. I would let her shoot it and then I’d verify and she was nailing it. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
