The tour shafts are made by UST. They are based off the Chrome Elements shaft but they are a bit softer. I think they are supposed to have the same stiffness profile, but if the Chrome Elements F4 plays like a S+, then the Ping shaft will be more like a S. Someone from a different forum called Ping or UST and asked.

I picked up 2 dozen of the XVs today. Never played them before, but at $20 a dozen seemed low risk.

After reading this thread last night, I ended buying a Big Moss. It is going to be on carpet, and my research indicated that Birdie Ball needs a hard surface for good results. Golf and cars are expensive hobbies.
