  1. Been a long time since I’ve seen a post this absolutely terrible here. I hope I never get paired up with you. take.
  2. 'Sup, Hibs? Nice to see you posting online again, regardless of the forum.
  3. I couldn't have said it any better myself. I've played with some real douchecanoes wearing $100 polos and top of the line shoes, and I've played with some awesome folks who'd take my money 8 days a week while they're wearing jeans and beat up sneakers, and I'd gladly play with them every single day.
  4. Man, that is SCARY. Glad you are on the mend and keeping such a positive outlook. Good luck!!
  5. Glad they're working for you! I never hit the D9s; I do have the D7s still in a backup bag and I found them very long and mostly consistent for me.
  6. Facebook Marketplace is your friend, as is OfferUp or Craigslist. Plenty out there that you should be able to find. When my son outgrew his Cobra Jrs, I gave him my Wilson/Staff D200 R flex graphite shafted irons. He loved those and played some great golf with them. Now he's in stiff flex and outhitting me by 20+ yards.
  7. It's always a good day when I see this thread pop up again
  8. Go to the course more, and the range less. I know for everyone that might not work with their schedules, but when I started walking 9 once a week after work and going to the range once every couple of weeks vs every couple of days, things in my game clicked. When I walk 9, if I can I use it as a practice round and hit multiple balls and try different shots from various lies. Even with driver - it's a lot different on a tree-lined hole vs a wide open range.
  9. I always tee up. Why pass up the opportunity for a perfect lie?
  10. Congrats all! Solid group of testers right here.
  11. If you like what you're playing, there's pretty much no reason to change unless there's a definite improvement in performance. Tell your buddies you'll be happy to put them in your bag if they foot the bill instead of them trying to spend your money on your behalf
  12. I never even finished the first season, it just didn't hold my interest. I may check in on the new episodes, but I won't go out of my way to clear my schedule to watch them.
  13. Congrats all! Looking forward to your thoughts on these, as someone who's growing into a fan of the Tour S line.
  14. I always look for negatives/things golfers didn't like in a review. Some of that is going to be personal to the golfer doing the testing/review, but no club is 100% absolutely amazing and the best ever. I find overly positive and glowing reviews to be less helpful than those where things that didn't work or the tester didn't like are pointed out.
  15. Lots of great comments in here. Used gear is the way I go as well to save money, I know what brands/shafts/flexes work for my swing based on past fittings and experience and that's what I'll look for. You can almost never go wrong with Callaway Pre-Owned.
  16. A lot of things could be causing those issues such as a poor setup, lack of shoulder turn, lack of proper wrist hinge, being over the top, etc. If you're not taking lessons, try posting a swing vid here and I'm sure someone who's far more knowledgeable than I can give you some solid advice
  17. What makes you think you use the arms too much? Is this something a pro pointed out during a lesson?
  18. I've had zero issues with spikeless for the most part, and I play a few hilly courses that don't have the best drainage at times. If it's been really wet out, I'll wear my spikes (which are incredibly comfy, another reason I like them) but more often than not it's spikeless.
  19. We’re all Apple, all the way. My wife and I both had Android phones in the beginning and there were too many issues with app compatibility. That may be cleared up now, but when we went iPhone we never had another issue. They just work and they last. I see no reason to ever switch back.
  20. I do 10-15 mins of yoga every morning. It started to help my back feel better but I can say with absolute confidence it’s helped strengthen my core and made me more flexible overall when it comes to golf. I highly recommend it.
  21. I follow way too many to list here, but the vast majority of non-golf I subscribe to are music production related or drumming/drum corps channels.
  22. Not nearly as old as that, I have a Taylormade forged 2 iron I purchased for $1 at a thrift store. I don't believe it's ever been hit. Every now and again I think about bringing it to the range to see if I can actually get it airborne.
  23. I knew even before I clicked the link that John was going to be the author I still feel like the previous iterations looked better, but that's more personal preference. These are very clean and I'm betting based on past reviews, will both feel and perform very well. Solid release from W/S.
