I am 6'3” and my ideal length is 40”. Very short in general not to mention for my height but I crush them an average of 285 yards with an average swing speed of 103mph. Depending on your swing speed I have a few cheap recommendations. Over 100mph I recommend Maxfli softfli. They come in different colors and exterior holds up to hard hits. 80-100mph swing I recommend Aris scout balls. Low price with great action when you need it and less when you don't. Custom builder is the way to go. There are a lot of them out here. Visit the facility and see what they can do for you. Most custom shops have shafts at different lengths for you to try on different club heads. This guarantees you the same feel of the club you buy as the club you hit. I love the idea. This would be great to see. MGS, a great choice would also be to select 3 groups of balls, the first would be tour level, amateur level and beginners level. Wait for the end of the season. Last year I waited for the end of the season to get a new set, after 10 years I was due for one. My skill finally passed the clubs I have. Whenever someone from our group hits what seems like a horrible shot, we always take a second tee shot. That way you don't have to double back and tee off again after the search. Longer with the irons is my pick. If the distance is only 10 yards, a drive is only hit once so you cut down max 10 yards. Irons are hit 1-3 times depending on how you golf. That's 10-30 yards less. 30 yards can make a huge difference when coming to approach shot distance. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
