Already a shotscope V3 user and highly recommend to everyone. Another great test for fellow spies. Good luck to all applicants and welcome to the fold lol.

    Hmmm that's Korean.

Internet translator says something like "the pouch can stain after rain/sweat in the summer, so avoid wearing white". The 2nd is translated into something really weird... AS (after sales) not being available after serial feasting??? Whatever that means...

Nice you caught that it was Korean.  Yes basically says the dye from the pouch can stain your clothes if it gets wet from rain or sweat in the summer so watch out on white objects.  Also couldn't quite figure out the bottom part but yes it does mention something about no after service so be cautioned lol.

Interesting that you should say that, one of the initial thoughts from the MGS golf ball test was that the TP5 was spinning a lot more, including off the driver

Hmm could be why maybe I was hitting shorter of the tee with the TP5 but getting a lot more spin around the greens with wedges. Guess there is a trade off

Only three balls into testing with my Check-Go-Pro:

    🤔

Hmm yes how did the rest of them do? I only found 2 to be really off center but the rest were within what I would call acceptable range.

  3. So already I see the packaging and the graphics on the balls are slightly different. Still have a dozen left from the original order so waiting to see how everyone hits them. Interestingly, I have been playing 2021 ProV1x and then played some 2021 TP5 and was zipping balls back on the green with my wedges. Never saw that with the ProV1x.

Posted my intro, though I’m not sure where it is. I’m sure we’ll get that out. In the meantime, I was able to place my first order! Callaway Epic Max LS with a Project X Hzrdus Yellow X Flex is on the way. It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes to get here. Shipping was about $14 to SoCal, so it could definitely add up to try out 3 different drivers and swap the shafts a bunch. It would definitely be nice to have a better option for shipping to make it more cost effective. Could easily end up being $75-$100 just to do this test!

So as the tester you are paying for the shipping? Yes if you like to tinker the costs could add up but I guess that's the purpose of the whole thing right?

I am a Android user, however I have an ipad that I use for work/language apps which will be using for the purpose of this test. I do have a old iphone too, but the Ipad will be the main device used for me.

ah the ol one foot in each door user. I had an iphone for work long ago when they did not have a BYOD policy and paid you a monthly stipend for your cell phone bill lol. no longer I am android all the way!

    OR non-concentric layers.

Possibly. The original MGS article on these mentions that the CG process is not to say that the balls will be more balanced than others in the market. Just that they put the factory line along the same CG line as a CGP as opposed to just a random spot.

  7. Got my balls in today and ran a dozen through the CGP. 2 were noticeably off the factory line but the rest I would be comfortable using the factory line.  I think the claim that they place the line on along the CG axis is true. The 2 that were off are probably a factor of manufacturing. I've run a dz prov1x through the CGP and haven't had this many be close to the factory line. Also not sure what bearing it has on the ball itself but seemed like these balls had more violent vibration during the test.  I actually had one pop the cover off and fly out after I marked the line.  Hence all the scuffing on the balls.

  8. Ughhh but the lack of Android support! Another great testing opportunity for our MGS members. Good luck to all the applicants! Garmin needs to hurry up and release the R10 dangit.

Excited to receive the Maxflis and start testing. Anything in particular (besides the Check-Go-Pro), that I should be looking out for?

ill be interested to see if you switch to the Maxfli's after testing or stay with your Snells. I am currently gaming ProV1X 2021 balls since I got a great deal on them and I dont lose many balls so they should last me the rest of the year but I know they won't last forever so will be looking for a replacement ball because I too refuse to pay $50/dz for a ball lol

Like @Josh Ross, I game the MTB-X almost exclusively (except when they are out of stock) so I will be doing comparison to that as well.

That was in my head as something I need to test. These are the CG balanced balls, not sure if they CG balance their low end offerings. I suppose, if the balls were perfectly concentric I'd expect for a different line to show up in the C-G-P each time. Or, if they are slightly out of balance, then they should align with the manufacturer mark. I will definitely test that.

Looking forward to your results with the CGP. If Maxfli can do it dont see why other OEM's cant start.
