  1. Trail shoes are awesome for golf, wear them all the time myself. I've never seen a need to buy “spikeless” golf shoes. They are the same as any trail shoe in my opinion and with trail shoes you have more options. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Anybody dabble in gambling on golf? When it comes to betting on sports I mainly stick to Football. I know enough about it (both College and NFL) to be comfortable putting a little money down on a game or two throughout the year. I'm not big time or anything but every once and a while having a little riding on a game can be fun. I also do the whole draft kings thing as well as it can make even the dullest games interesting throughout the season. One thing I have never tried however is putting any money down on golf. I don't know the first thing about how to go about it. What to look for? Which Golfers are stronger on certain courses? Who play better in rough weather? Who may like to have a few cold ones the night before a tournament? Do those cold ones help? I am becoming more familiar as I watch more golf, but still would like to know some things to look for so I'm not just throwing my money away. Anybody have some tips for a newbie trying to get in to golf betting? Any big win/loss stories? Feel free to post them all. Also, if this falls within a morality issue I can remove this post but just wanted to throw the topic out there for anyone interested.
  3. Great thread, Got my first on the way and have trying to figure our this exact situation. Hope to be able to get out every once and while, but if not it wont be the end of the world. From what Ive been told by friends with kids its just nailing down your new schedule and fitting it in when available. Good Luck!
  4. Browns all the way! Being a Browns fan is a lot like my golf game, I always think its going to go well and then once it comes time to play for real everything goes to hell.
  5. I think it really depends on your level of paleness. Most of the time I go baseball cap, but I'm pretty pasty so if the sun is beating down I go large straw hat. Sometimes it gets in my back swing but no big deal, a few beers and it wont bother you at all.
  6. I think 14 is a good number for pros and for regular tournament play. For the average golfer though I think its better to have more clubs available not only to fill in gaps helping their overall game, but to help them figure out which clubs they strike better and therefore give them more work ability on the course for when they get to a point of trying their hand at tournaments and so on.
  7. Yea I think the general consensus is just go get some lessons haha. Appriciate the feedback man!
  8. Yea I think that's the way I might go and then pick up a training aid or two from there. Thanks fo the feedback. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Yea just bought a can to see where I'm landing. We'll see what happens haha.... but thanks for the response. Just need to dig in to some of this stuff as well as look for a pro in the area for some possible coaching. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Yea I'm on the verge of giving a coach a try. Only thing holding me back is that I'm cheap, but in the long run I think it's going to be worth it. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Thanks for the detailed feedback, I'll check all of these out. To answer some of your questions, there are really just a few kinks I feel need to be worked out especially with the driver. My irons are getting much more consistent and I've seen things like the hangar out there that look appealing. I can get obsessive and over analyze things as well, as I think most golfers can do and I don't want to hurt my game, just become more consistent. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Looking to get some help in figuring out what golf training swing aid is best. Finally getting my game somewhat more consistent (breaking 100) but I'd like to get my swing dialed in a bit more. I've seen a bunch of stuff out there, but I want to know what has worked best for people on the forum. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
