  7. 1. Tom/Oregon 2. Mix of Nike and no name brand pants 3. Being stationed in Germany I’ve played in plenty of 20mph gusts with rain going sideways and now living in Oregon, if you don’t play in the rain...you don’t play nearly as much golf!
  8. Very well stated review and I love your attention to detail, well done sir and good luck with Stage 2!
  9. Welcome, I live up closer to Portland and just moved back to the area after many many years away and I've been pleasantly surprised at the selection and quality of golf courses that are now available.
  10. Welcome and no need to feel like an idiot!
  11. Great reviews so far (by all!). I'm continually impressed that MGS lets us test equipment and use honest feedback to review golf clubs and equipment. Keep up the good work!

  15. I've used a bunch of different GPS products, I started with a Calloway GPS which they quit making/supporting. Then I bought a cheap Break 80 laser range finder but it wasn't that great unless there were reflectors on the flag sticks, I've tried Golf Logix Swing x Swing but it drains my phone and I get spotty reception. I just bought a Nikon Golf Coolshot 80VR Laser Rangfinder, only have used it for one round but I like it, you push the button and it stabilizes the field of view and then locks on pretty good. I laser range finders 90% of the time, obviously doesn't work well in foggy conditions or without line of sight...I just wing it old school in those situations.
  16. You unintentionally helped me by mentioning Hudi, I used it at one time and now I have a new phone and couldn't for the life remember the name of the app! Thanks! Now I need to find a clip or stand for my bag, normally when (if ever) I record myself it's just me so I need to find something.
  17. Interesting, I have a new house with a bonus room and was thinking of putting a golf simulator in there...but prices can get into ludicrous mode! Not sure if this is the answer I'm looking for but for the price it might be worth at least checking out.
  18. I was close to buying the G400 after it won the most wanted driver, I instead found a used Titleist 917D which I love, but I have a little buyers regret not going with the Ping as I have had several Ping drivers in my life and have always been a huge fan. Well reviewed and great feedback!
  19. I just moved back to Oregon and it is definitely on the list of "to do's" in the next year or two. I left Oregon 29 years ago and who would have thought that it is a golf "destination" now for many people around the world. Hope you had a great trip and thanks for the advice!
  20. Thanks all for the warm welcome, just moved back to the States and back to Oregon after almost 30 years abroad so it's nice to have a place to call home again and hopefully I can contribute to the site!
