  1. Heading to Phoenix to see my Mother and play some golf. My brother is also coming out at the end of the week because his middle daughter is moving there. My sister and her daughter live there too. Haven’t seen my Mom in a few years. Will get to see my new grand niece and grand nephew as well. Short layover in Dallas due to my flight from Savannah being delayed. Luckily the next flight was just a couple of gates down. Quick bathroom break and grabbed a brisket sandwich combo meal and will eat it on the plane. Hoping my golf clubs make it.
  2. Just got home from the tournament. As predicted from the Sr. Tees I was playing as a +1 today. Got low gross individually but our team didn’t fare so well in the 4 man combined Net event. Hard to beat teams that get a lot of strokes. Used 3 wood mostly off the tee today. Like yesterday it performed extremely well. I did hit driver 3 times. Two of those drives got me into trouble. Below is a good example of the course. Lots of water, dog legs and tight fairways.
  3. After my practice round today I did my 3rd session of the Neural Drive program. m
  4. @TJ HallChanging three shafts at once is nerve wracking. Especially when the three clubs they went in are ones that I feel were dialed in pretty well. The results at the fitting were really good which was exciting and made me hopeful. But results on the course over multiple rounds are what matter. I’ve played 4 rounds of golf and had two range sessions so far with them. These shafts have required absolutely no adjustment on my part. Not sure I can adequately verbalize the feeling of stability and control these shafts have given me. The most visible and obvious tangible result so far is slightly more distance and better dispersion.
  5. Tomorrow I’m playing in the Southeast Georgia Senior Inter Club match at Trident Lakes golf club in Kingsland, GA. The golf course is on the King’s Bay Naval base just north of the Florida border. It is one of the bases that house nuclear submarines. So, to prepare I played a practice round at my home course this morning from the Senior Tees instead of my normal Blue tees, and used my 3 wood to tee off on every hole except for the par 3s and #9. Got to hit it 14 times today. Here is an example of one of my drives: My 3 wood is a Cobra LTDx 15 degree set at +1.5 and it has been my favorite club in the bag for the past two years. It is the best fairway wood I’ve ever had and I was pretty nervous about changing shafts on this club. By the end of the day I had a big smile on my face. I felt like I couldn’t miss a fairway. Only used it for one approach shot today: Shot a very stress free 70 today. 35 on the front and 35 on the back. 3 birdies, one bogey and the rest pars. The TPT Power Range 17 HI shaft is so stable. I have a great feeling of control with it. The shaft has quickly instilled enormous confidence in me. My favorite club is even better now than before!
  6. Played today with our Men’s group. If y’all are watching the Masters then you already know it is pretty windy today in Georgia. Despite the wind I had a good round. 38/38. Three birdies. One of which held up for a skin. Got Low gross and a close up. Also won $17 in our 6/6/6 game. Total winnings today = $47. These shafts are paying off! From Arccos a picture of the 7th hole. 230 yards to carry the bunkers from the blue tees. One of my better drives today.
  7. I’ve played with a rental set. Very high quality, lots of tech. Just too light for me. My wife has a XXIO driver, 4 & 7 wood that she likes a lot. Same parent company as Srixon and Cleveland. Expensive but worth it for slower swingers looking for some help.
  8. I went with the Stack System a year ago because of their app. The ease of use to record your results was the big difference. Super Speed is supposed to be unveiling a similar app sometime later this year. I gained 12 MPH of swing speed in the first two programs in about 4 months. Then I got injured and took a break and now I’m back at it. 56 years old and hitting the ball better and further than ever. Purchased the force pedals and Super Speed Squeeze products and just starting to get going with them. Wish I had started swing speed training sooner than I did.
  9. Have had a BGT Stability Tour Shaft in my putter for the last few years and love it. So much so that I now have the BGT ZNE shafts in all my wedges. I love them too! Even tried their Brava Shaft but did not get fit for it and probably used too stiff a version.
  10. Have been fit by Bridgestone and also have done the Ballnamic fitting. The Ballnamic fitting suggested the Maxfli Tour ball as one of my top recommendations and it led to me playing the ball after reading good reviews on MyGolfspy as well.
  11. Finished the Full Speed Spectrum program and my progress check was slower than when I started. Was suggested to do Full Speed Spectrum for a third time and just wasn’t feeling it so I chose a new program Neural Drive. Completed my 2nd session of the new program today.
  12. Not sure why the Flight track isn’t showing up for the second video. Also there is no Apex height. The Shot shapes are very similar. The apex of the shot with the 17 Lo hybrid shaft is 83 feet. The apex of the shot with the Fujikura Shaft is 75 feet. Here are a couple of pictures showing the trajectories of all the shots with both hybrids and and the dispersion.
  13. The rain finally cleared out so headed to the golf course. Cart path only since we got 4 inches of rain overnight and this morning. Decided to head to the range instead of playing. Did my swing speed workout then chipped for a bit. Decided to put the hybrids up against each other. Here’s a picture of both Cobra LTDx 24 deg. 5 hybrids. The one on the left has a Fujikura Fuel 85g Stiff shaft that I’ve used in a number of clubs over the years and the one on the right has the TPT 17 LO shaft. Tried to hit both clubs the exact same way with the same swing speed. The first video is a shot with the TPT 17 LO. Rapsodo_MLM_Jordan_Evans_11040245.mov The second video is a shot with the Fujikura Fuel shaft: Rapsodo_MLM_Jordan_Evans_11040242.mov The TPT 17 LO shaft launches a little higher with a bit more speed and I suspect a little more spin. The dispersion with the TPT shaft is tighter and the centeredness and consistency of contact on the face is noticeably better.
  14. According to Arccos the fairways hit percentage over my last 50 rounds is 53%. So two days in a row of 71% is way outside of the statistical standard of deviation for me. Won another $45 bucks today. At this rate these shafts will pay for my trip to Texas to get fit for the shafts in just a few weeks! Hope it continues.
  15. Updated the main thread with my First Impressions. Quick summary: 10 out of 10…. Myth Buster: Claim: Three shafts with the same feel = TRUE Claim: Tighter Dispersion = TRUE Look good, Feel good, Perform good. These shafts are Frickin’ Awesome! Check it out:
  16. Headed to the range! https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5ityFcODZs/?igsh=YmM0cGkwaXRpb2Fr
  17. @Bogeys ov Sorry to hear of your experience. I’ve not had a problem with any of mine so far. Been playing the 130g shaft in my lob wedge for over a year. The new RED ZNE does have a redesigned shaft coupler and graphite tips. Perhaps that will mitigate any future problems.
  18. Last week I built up a Gap Wedge using a Corey Paul Japan forged and hand ground head paired with a BGT ZNE 115g shaft, BB & F ferrule and my preferred grip, the Super Stroke Traxion Wrap Midsize. It is performing extremely well for me, but I may need to bend a couple degrees stronger to get better gapping. Today I finished building a Sand Wedge using a Corey Paul head paired with the recently released BGT RED ZNE 115g shaft. Can’t wait to use it tomorrow! Have really been enjoying these and now I will have three in the bag.
  19. Time for an unboxing! Look what is inside! Will head to the range in the morning and then put them in play for a round of golf afterwards playing with our Men’s Golf Association. Will post my first impressions afterwards.
  20. @AdInfinitum I would second @William P’s recommendation about getting fit for these shafts. Especially the Nitro range. At $650/shaft a fitting just makes sense. If I relied on just the specs, comparing the shafts to what I’m currently playing and the online fitting I would likely have not had a very good outcome. Especially with driver.
  21. Traded some text messages with Jon Sinclair earlier today. He’s got the shafts and midsize grips in hand and putting everything together. Should be at my house he thought on Monday! Can’t wait to put them in play.
  22. Looking forward to getting the TPT Golf Power Range 18 LO for my Driver, 17 HI for my 3 wood and the 17 LO in my 5 hybrid. Hoping they will arrive in the next week or so.
