2022 MGS US Open Contest Sponsored by Titleist
GreasedUpStingers replied to Golfspy_CG2's topic in Contests
Oh man I 110% don't expect to win. So much luck it's incredible to even get close. That said of I were to win either prize... I'd likely take the t100s as the specs line up with my clubs the best, and the hybrid for second place. What about everyone else? Good luck everyone! -
Alright. I'm back to win something. Some of you will remember that I finished tied for 2nd for the 2019 masters. I remember that I finished in 20000th every other time I do this. "So you're saying there's a chance?"

Just like when I won a Wilson driver in 2019, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I finished T-2nd in the Masters, then finished in the Mid-700s for the rest of the majors. Lightning does indeed need to strike! Congrats to the winners! Can't wait for next year!

If I was John Daly's playing partner I would want to hitch a ride, light up a cigar and just shoot the s***. Oh and then play golf I guess.

SpyStaffSlam Wilson D7 Driver winner review

Thanks! I'll be sure to update it once I hit the balls. And as for my picks for the PGA... HA! I feel like I'm going to finish dead last this time around. It's such a crapshoot and these guys can be hot and then cold from round to round. But I will tell you that I picked Tiger (Like the Masters) and my wildcard (5th tier) is Dufner. -

SpyStaffSlam Wilson D7 Driver winner review
GreasedUpStingers replied to daviddvm's topic in Unofficial Reviews
Hey David, As the other D7 winner from the Masters, I'm going to piggy back on this thread because well... we're twins! Just so everyone knows, David and I picked identical players and tiebreaker scores to tie for 2nd for the Masters #SpyStaffSlam. Incidentally, we also picked the same specs for the driver and ball as well. I was able to get a session at the range on the previous Sunday and I got a round in with the driver last Friday. A couple notes I had... - The driver sits a little more upright compared to my current Callaway Driver. It's not a bid thing but I believe it forces me to make a small adjustment in my swing - Not a heavy driver and it is simple in it's design. And honestly that's how I like it. Feels great in my hands and looks good down by the ball. So after one round with it how do I feel about it? I liked it! I think I still need to adjust a little to it with my swing, but overall I performed well with it. I didn't hit all the fairways, but I was never out of play (Except for a single duck hook that went bye bye). My Callaway Driver is a 10 degree, so it took a little getting used to the lower flight of the 9 degree Wilson D7. I was hitting a lot of cuts with it, which is a little different as I am more of a draw guy. There were a few times where I was able to shape some shots around doglegs as well, which pleased me to no end. Overall, I still have some work to do with it, but I am definitely keeping it in the bag for now. As for the Wilson balls, I got those later than the driver so I haven't had a chance to hit them. I'll put them in the bag for next round and will let you all know how I like them. Currently I generally play ProV1s. I'll also try and post some pictures too later on, but it's the same as the one posted above. Thanks! Greased -

Wow! Never thought I would win a prize in a contest like this. Its amazing the difference a choice of one player makes! Thanks for all of the kind words everyone, thank you Golf Spy for the contest, and thanks to Wilson for providing the prizes! Hopefully I can hit it a little further off the tee now...
