No watch for me while playing testing shows it will slow down your swing speed. I need all the speed I can get.

Those "Golfers" don't know or don't care to follow the First Rule of Golf. I think Bobby Jones said this about 100 years ago. (Not an exact quote) Golf is a Gentlemen's Game. So when in doubt act like a Gentlemen.

I use a push cart, not because it's cool. Coolness is just a byproduct. I need it to haul my water so I don't dehydrate and can make it around the course.

Putted in my living room on my putting carpet. Ranges are closed where i am.

Putting influence on a ball in flight
Kaplack replied to JOHN THORNTON's topic in Golf Rules Discussion
Don’t Talk to my ball! ( At least until it stops moving ) Too many times someone I am playing with says “Nice Shot” while the ball is in the air, until it dives into a bunker, tree ect. -
Cheap Beer, the first one always tastes great and after the first one they all taste the same!

I have been playing for decades now, always working on my game.
I have a indoor range in my living room, no garage I live in a apartment.
I track my stats, take lessons and workout always hoping to get better.
I play mostly New York City golf courses and some on Long Island.

I will made an educated guess that Matthew Wolff, hit a whole lot of balls of real grass; while at Oklahoma State. I have never been there but I would bet 1 dollar to 100, They have a nice grass range at the best college program in the country.

https://blog.trackmangolf.com/mats-vs-grass-whats-difference/ Trackman website study 7 Iron Grass 179.7 Yards 7 Iron Mat 186.9 Yards Tester was a +2 Handicap

Testing has shown most players hit irons further and straighter; off Range Mats than real grass.

Golf Podcasts 75% of the time, mostly on Golf Fitness. I am trying to chase Bryson down, only about 65-70 yards behind him now.

I just want to play with people that have decent etiquette. Are slightly pleasant and are unlikely to hit me in the back of the head with a crooked shot.

No ball washers in New York, so not at all nowadays.

Hitting a wedge out of shallow water . I don’t know if it will go way longer than I expected or I will drive it depper into the pond. And will I get my shirt and pants all wet and muddy? Someone else here has to practice this shot a bunch for me and tell me how to play it. Thanks in advance.
-
My advice is 1.Don’t try or concentrate any harder than normal. 2. Remember almost no one you will think or care what you Shot or if you win or lose.

Distance is strong a mystery to me. Whatever club I use still comes up short .

Kirkland? Oh No Say it ain’t so. -
I have been mostly a electric cart player, but Covid-19 in the NYC area has caused so courses to ban carts. The good part is you see different parts on the Course when you are hoofing it.

I played in NJ, the rounds have been much faster. 16 minute gaps between groups make for a much quicker round.

I walk sometimes, but my bag Is heavy. With food, water, laser, a level, golf ball retriever, golf balls, more golf balls after I pick some up on the way around. A couple golf clubs I rarely use ( Gap Wedge ect.) I do enjoy a nice drive around the course, do I feel a bit lazy and guilty? Yeah.

If Myspy tests say my Super Colorful favorite Matte Finish golf balls are hurting my score? I am depressed! What is more important to me having balls that colorful match my pants, shoes or shirt. Or a lower score What is more important to the rest of you?

In Regards to those suggestioning Vijay donate all his earnings, from the event don’t hold your breath. Remember Vijay sued the PGA tour for tens of millions, after he failed a drug test. Ya think this is a guy is overly concerned about what his peers think of him?

My Take is Professional Golf tournaments are business, which need to make a profit. When a big name plays, may it be a celebrity or athlete it drives up profits. This favors everyone in the field, except the dude that didn’t get a spot in the field and anyone who gets beat by Vijay; in this case. To the dude that doesn’t get the last invite and the guys Vijay beats, I say “play better”. Professional Tournament golf is a “competition”. Now would I, if I were a hall of fame player play in a minor league event? No but maybe that mentality is why I don’t dominate golf tournaments at even my local amateur level.
