  1. I’ll stop for: lightning, hail, exceptionally slow play (who won’t let you through) and people behind me who have no idea about course etiquette (constantly hit into you, drive their carts on the side of the green, etc.). Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  2. I still have my PE2s, which I will never give up. However, crossing the sixth decade (with increased arthritis and two prosthetic hips) I was fitted for Mizuno 919 Hot Metals (standard length, 2* upright with Project X graphite shafts). I see what the buzz is about. The HMs are fantastic! When you hit clean, you hear and feel it. Otherwise, you hear and feel a definite difference - but the shots usually aren’t too bad (considering the mis-hit). You might want to check them out! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  3. I’m working on re-grooving my swing range and timing, after losing 62 lbs in 2019. I’m making progress (increased speed and smash factor). Besides that, I need to finally get my head on straight for short game shots from 100 yds in. The new swing technique, I’m working on with my instructor will translate to my short game too. Otherwise, play more golf and have more fun doing it! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  4. I went from MCC+4 to CP2 Pro in midsize on my graphite shafts to help my arthritic hands and shoulders. They really help with the pain and stiffness. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  5. Yes. Still one of my favorite sticks. I also take lessons at his academy and have been to two of his “Scoring Zone” short game clinics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That’s a Coutour Golf Dornoch putter. It was designed and marketed by Todd Sones, PGA. I have a 350g version with a copper face insert. They were great putters, fitted to the user. Just never caught on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. I was transferred to it because of my recent GolfNow vip membership. It’s been a good deal, so far (no golf yet in IL), with the Revolution Golf access. Is it worth $200? I’ll see this year with usage.
  10. Definitely DIY. With decent tools from Golf Works, it’s a fairly easy process.
  11. Jeff Morton Fox River Grove, IL 26.4 Swing speed 85 Callaway GBB PX shaft G410 SFT
  12. My new wedges are from the same series, with the same shafts and grips for consistency. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m also 59 and was scheduled for a full bag at CC. I saw my instructor’s boss, Todd Sones at the Buffalo Grove Dome. He told me they have a Foresight GCQuad unit that measures the normal radar stuff, plus what the club face did at impact. I canceled my CC fitting and met my instructor, Mason Wall at the dome. 90 mins later, we figured out what I needed (new irons and different shafts for my GBB (2015) woods). I ended up with Mizuno JXP 919 Hot Metal Irons and wedges (2* upright) with PX LZ graphite and MCC +4 midsized grips. All standard upgrades from Mizuno, and worked perfectly. Between that and shafts from CPO, I’m at about $1,305. No puring, undercoating or sore arms from hitting a bunch of balls. You should have gotten the spec sheets from CC, so you will have options, price wise. It’s amazing how much BETTER I hit balls with the more upright iron heads. With arthritic hands, the graphite shafts and MCC +4 felt great, with no “bee stinging” in my left pinky and ring finger (from a shattered knuckle, eons ago). Hopefully, you’ll find a more cost efficient version of what you need.

  18. I returns to golf a little over 17 months ago, after a 20 year absence. I play for fun these days, my competitive days are well in the rear view mirror. Golf is a fun exercise and social outlet. If I keep it in the short grass and in the hole in a reasonable number of shots, it’s all good! I look forward to participating in this forum. I appreciate and respect the reviews from MyGolfSpy, and have been told this is a great forum. Cheers! Jeff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
