    I like this thought.

    1. Does the $300 go towards the purchase of the clubs?

    2. What all comes in the "box"? Any way to check loft/lie? Face Impact Positions?

    3. Are you supposed to take video from behind and in front for the fitting?

Good questions didn’t even think of video.. when the guy I spoke too didn’t mention anything about the $300 going towards clubs but I’ll ask, from the pictures the clubs are mostly blank to avoid biases .. prob could figure it out though. I’ll ask these questions when I speak to them but could be in a month

Fair enough. That also does mean the fitting isn't truly $300, but closer to $400 or so because you'll likely have to pay for their time and efforts as well (the fitter you are seeing).

Is there a cheat sheet for the fitter so they can at least know to help better guide you?

Sorry for all the questions and skepticism! Trying to understand it more because truthfully it's is screaming red flags for me.

The among of money I have spend self fitting when had I just don't a proper in person fit would be more than I care to admit.

Yeah not sure about a cheat sheet, I just ask high level questions to them, if I get any more info I’ll pass it along

Just saw this link. This is a very interesting idea. I agree with Jamie about our individual bias. I would hope the shafts and heads are only numbered without a brand (unrealistic). Also knowing my limitations in self-coaching and analysis, it would be difficult culling down what fit was best for my swing. Looking forward to some moe information. The Black irons look awesome, but BLUE might be so cool!

@GolfSpy_APH the bias part I think is fixed a bit bc they black out all the shafts and you don’t know any of the specs, you are using the numbers they put on the club which looks like 3 club each set and the clubs are numbered 1,2,3. But I do see the by your self part with the data, I am going to use a pga pro I know to help me on a track man to go over the data. Also when you send them the data they set up a call to go over it with you too. But def understand the hesitation.

So it's a self fit kit?

Yes they send you a bunch of 7irons that all have different specs with different shafts in multiple flex’s grips weight and you hit them and get your data off of a simulator and send them the clubs and data back and then they will build them to your specs that you choose after going through what one comes out best

  5. Hey guys I just saw this thread I reached out to Chad this morning and they already called me, I live in NJ and talk to Dan at foreward, really nice guy went over the whole process for the remote fitting. They send out a giant heavy duty crate that has the multiple different 7 irons and you go to a a simulator and get all the data and send everything back and then they custom build it for you. The fitting is around $300 which includes shipping and then like above the different color heads cost differently I forget the prices but I believe the copper is the most expensive around $200/club depending on shaft I believe. I’m about 5th in line so I’ll let you guys know when I get my remote demo

Two to be exact.   Second row from the bottom, third from the left is a Madison Toulon that a friend of mine built for me. We may have had a few beverages when it was built so it is an inch plus too long, weights out at F9 when not counter weighted and has a BGT Fire in it. Next day with clearer heads we weighted it properly and put a SuperStroke on it flat side forward. This was my gamer for close to two years and will be once I go back to playing for fun. Made me a well above average putter and was the last club we built before he passed away.

Second one is top row and also third from the left. It is a Betti Roc n Roll that Rocco Mediate used in the 2004 Master’s. Got it from a friend of mine in Pittsburgh without knowing the story and then I got the back story.  I was able to confirm from Rocco directly that this was indeed the putter that he used in that tournament.

This is the story on that putter:  https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2004/10/12/2004-newsmakers-mediates-putter-spurs-11th-hour-ad/

There are a few other gems in there including a few Circle T putters.  One was built for Gil Morgan and is stamped DOC and the other for Chip Beck that is stamped CHIPPER.  I have a one of one TP Mills, a custom T Sqaure long neck and of course the Eagles Betti from the SuperBowl year.  The PXG on the top row was also a custom build and was one of the few long putters that they had done at that time.   If I went through the entire rack I am pretty sure I can remember when and where I bought each of the putters.  Used to be a hobby that has fallen by the wayside the last few years but now that I am home full time I may bring it back.

thats greats I love the stories behind clubs .. biased opinion from me but I would choose the eagle's world champion putter since I am from philly ! ..

  7. I ended up putting the evnroll back in play, I removed the gravity grip, it felt just it was too heavy, so I put a Winn oversize pistol grip on and cut the shaft to 34in from 35in, I putted pretty good around avg but a lot of my lag putts were so much better. The roll is definitely better than my old gamer. I might try to switch to a little thicker grip the oversize is good but seems little small then what I’m used too

  8. I’m at Riverton CC in NJ, we just updated everything, the course was redone to the original Donald Ross design, all the bunkers and designs are within a couple feet of the original specs, they also added a brand new pool with an outdoor bar cafe, they tried to make it look like a swim resort which is nice. Also added a brand new club house with a second floor bar and lounge area. The old club house is now being remodel to add two simulators and a lounge spot. We also have tennis and pickle ball courts and a three lane bowling alley. We also have a small range that is only 160 yards, no which sucks but it is what it is. We have two putting greens and a chipping area, we have the air compressors for shoe cleaning. I’ll add picks next time I go there , really a nice course with really good people.

Are you referring to the overstock of the previous cast urethane MTB Black (looks like Snell is selling 2 and 4 dozen loose bags under the clearance section) or the new MTB Prime (happens to have a black box)? If the former, that is leftover stock likely from late 2021 which was the last shipment they received from the Nassau factory and are completely unrelated to the durability discussion surrounding the Prime.

@Deepred thanks guys looks like I bought the new ones so should be good ! .. still got some pro v1s left so haven’t put the snells in play yet
