I was watching everyone go over the green., took a PW and hit to 1ft. 4in on the first swing, the 2 others were inside 10ft.. Talked with the guys before I left, they gave me the $250 gift card before I left which was pretty cool.

HA.. I was there on Saturday... did come away with some BogeyBros gear after hitting their simulator and winning close to for the day. I saw the training aid.. had mixed feelings for it.

Played on Saturday at Tempest Golf course in Gladewater, TX. First time this year (only my 4th round) that it felt like all the aspect of my game was coming together at the same time. By far my best driving day, but everything was relative solid, a couple of loose swings but for the most part I was hitting what I was aiming. Missed a few putts but they were exactly were I was looking. I liked the stroke. Hope to keep it going for the rest of the year!!

Went to do a basic Driver fitting over at my local golf shop DallasGolf. Just to look at my numbers on both of my shaft that am using with my TM Stealth2 because I felt over the past 2 months I was loosing distance and it felt like I was putting good swings and the ball was going no where.. So, we took base numbers using both my Fujikura Speeder NX Red 60 Stiff and my HDZR Smoke 6.0 Stiff shaft. Both it appear i was spinning the ball more than I should. Tried a few other shaft to see if any newer shaft would improve the numbers. One thing we established was that i was maximizing the Driver head, my smash factor was at a steady 1.50, no matter what shaft. What we did work on was trying to get the spin rate down since it was between 3100-3300 and improve the launch angle. The final setting, keeping the Fujikura Speeder NX Red, as i was getting better spin, carry/total distance numbers. The other shafts had better balls speed, (like 1-2mph difference) Turn down the loft from 9.0 to 8.5 and this drop the spin rate to 2900-3000. And here is a comparison before the fitting and after. just after 3 rounds. (shame, won't be able to play until maybe March with this weather, snow everywhere)

Went to DallasGolf shop to get on the monitor and figured out which shaft was working better from me between my Hzdz Smoke 6.0 and or the Speeder NZ 6.0. Plus tried a few other options. At the end the Speeder NZ was still the better shaft for me. Adjust the loft down 1 click from 9.0 to 8.5. Played today and i was driving the ball much better even on a call day. Irons, chipping and putting were pretty solid. Good start to 2024.

Practice some putting after getting my LAB Mezz1 putter back with the new ACCRA white shaft. Much firmer feel now, never thought putter shaft would feel like this. Strokes feels more steady and confident. Putts still were going in. Lets see how it performs on the course this weekend.

Sub70 TAIII Wedges - 2023 Forum Review
MrBandit replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Played 3 round with the new TAIII wedges.. and they are getting better and better each round. Hit and stop performance from full wedge shots is impressive. Even my playing partner and to come and check out the wedge after seeing the ball hit the green and just stop. Around the greens not as much bite as my old TM MG3 but that also could be that am now using the Maxfli X vs the Tour Response which spins alot more. Update 2/22/2024 I have been going to the PGASS now that they have the new bay with Trackman. The action on my TAIII , 7/10 shots spun back and the spin rate 9k to 10k -
Played with these over the weekend and they didn't disappoint. Lots of bite, more than expected. Smooth of the club face, I few times I thought I didn't hit well and it was going to be short but they got there just fine. There was a lot of hit and stop shots, specially surprise on dormant greens. Highly recommend them.

Just got new wedges from Sub70. 50, 56, 60 with Nippon Modus 105 to match my irons. Did some wedge work this morning..testing them out before playing this weekend. So far so good not as much bite as the TM MG3 but it was early in the morning with some dew. I will go to the range this afternoon and vice them a run thru. Update: Range session was great, they feel like butter, didn't expected that feel. Can't wait to actually play them on the course this weekend.

Anyone using the Sub 70 TAIII Wedges?
-
I was weak, and just purchase the Sub70 56/60 TAIII wedges. I been wanting to try to them for a while, 15% discount hard to pass up. Its going to be hard to replace my TM MG3 Wedges.. they have been really good for years now.

Played 2 separate tournaments this past weekend. Saturday and Sunday game was good, consistent, drove the ball well, irons and wedges were solid, I didn't make any birdies on Saturday but made a lot of par and save bogey putts. (LAB Golf Mezz1 putter ) is the real deal. I just aim and pull the trigger is going where I was intending. But this weekend felt like I really got the stroke and pace down, more confident that I was going to make those long putts and the 3-5ft are almost automatic now. As winter approaches, hoping that I keep this good feeling going until next year and not forget the progress I was making until spring comes around.
