  1. Gooooooooood nearly afternoon all! Base paint has been applied to the derby cars, hoping to get to finish coat with them this evening. I might pick up some poly spray or something to get that clearcoat look after. Then it will be time to get the weight with the wheels and see how much we can add back.
  2. I'd be lying if I didn't see Project X LZ and come here to say Modus 120x. haha Now that would make for an interesting driver setup!
  3. love to hear that! I'm hoping for an early Spring so I can play some real rounds with the PW. One day I'm going to go out with my oldest and hit tee shots then just play from PW yardage and hit both to see which club "wins out." We have a par 3 near by too that I might take a lap through. But every simulator and range session that I had produced more consistency with the Edison, which is still wild to me.
  4. Based on what I know from the LZ irons shafts it's supposed to be a good feeling shaft, which usually translates to "feel" or "not-as-stiff" in the handle. The Iron shaft in particular has a softer mid to enhance feel. Also given you struggled with the HZRDUS line I'd suggest trying out the "blue" profile shafts when you demo... something like a Tensei Blue, Ventus Blue, etc. While not standard, blue seems to be the color of choice for middle of the road in stiffness vs feel. White profiles tend to add some tip stability while maintaining or even softening the handle section. HZRDUS line will most closely link to "black" profiles where the handle is stiff for aggressive swingers. They don't agree with me either. Best thing to do is go to a shop and try out what you can to get an idea, then go for a fitting once you're ready to make a purchase.
  5. Good Morning all, In the office today and then today is sanding and painting day for the boys pinewood derby cars. They're going for broke on speed over style this year. The standard block is 3.5g of the 5g total limit. after trimming the blocks down each of the boys base weighs only around 1g each, there's going to be a lot of weight we can add once paint and wheels are added! Hope you all have a great day!
  6. I'd say based on the reviews done here, and things I've read/watched from Odyssey it seems more of just a conversation of feel, not performance as a differentiator between the milled and white hot inserts. Overall it seems like Odyssey has a slam dunk on their hands with the Ai-One putters. The winning on tour isn't going to hurt either!
  7. Good Morning all! Hope you have a good start to the week. It was cold at the bus stop but the forecast is calling for some unseasonably warm temps towards the end of the week! Could it really be that early spring the groundhog predicted?! Or is it our traditional "False Spring in February" before all hell breaks loose with snow storm after snow storm? I guess only time will tell!
  8. One of my favorite threads to follow along with Rob!
  9. I think it’s closer to Kentucky Fried Turd
  10. Some good guesses, but you’d probably have to see his swing to figure this one out.
  11. Good Morning all! Dinner last night for Grandpa was a success! I'm glad I picked up a few extra short ribs because we barely had any leftovers. The risotto came out good too, just a simple one with parmesan. Today we've got not too much on the docket so maybe a trip to the golf store is in order? I should probably try to finish doing some more drywall, but we'll see!
  12. Congratulations to both @GolfSpy_KFT and @GolfSpy AFG! Well deserved gents. To @GolfSpy_SHARK,
  13. Good Morning all! today is my Father-in-laws for 65th birthday so we’re going to have some family over for dinner. I volunteered to make braised short ribs and risotto so my afternoon will be a little busy! But, I’ve only got 8 more boards of drywall to get out of the garage and then I can reopen my practice area, so I’m looking forward to getting some swings in tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day!
  14. If I end up flying down with papa-BOS instead of driving we'll be getting into Richmond around 10... might just be able to swing that Thursday round!
  15. That face is DEEEEEEEEEEEP lol Looks like an absolute monster.
  16. so glad you had a great experience! Every time I've been down to see Jon or Steve (the putter guy) it's been great. I'm already trying to come up with some excuses as to why I need a fitting this year.
  17. cant wait to see some photos of the 8* head! I mean, I could never play it, but I'm sure it will be lovely! haha
  18. We went to a Great Wolf once, was a lot of fun and my kids loved the wave pool! Hope you guys have a great time!
  19. Personally I'm not at all surprised that the Kirkland irons got the attention of TaylorMade. I think every video review I saw on the Kirkland's had some mention of the P-790 in it. That's not to say they are the only goo-filled hollow-body players distance iron, but it seemed like it was more than being in the same category. I couldn't tell you what patents TM has for the P-790 but I don't blame them for exercising their right if there is indeed infringement on them. I'm almost more interested in the false advertising claims and finding out the story on that and learning more about SCDC.
  20. https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/taylormade-files-lawsuit-against-costco-over-kirkland-signature-irons/ Big news dropping today! Click over to the full story to read more but here are the highlights: Yesterday, TaylorMade filed a lawsuit against Costco Wholesale and Southern California Design Company over willful patent infringement in regards to Costco’s new Kirkland Signature Players Irons. Not surprisingly this is due to similarity with the P-790 irons. I mean, who didn't see that coming right? Sort of surprisingly SCDC (Southern California Design Company) is believed to be the manufacturer of the Kirkland irons appears to also be tied to brand Indi Golf. Also noted in the claims is that the Costco irons do not actually contain any urethane inserts as advertised. I'm sure we'll hear more as the story progresses. What do you spies think?
  21. Awwww yeah, how could I have forgotten to mention the best part of today! Final load of drywall got delivered for the basement this morning! Looks like I'll be carrying that load down from the garage on lunch today. Oh, did you think I meant the Qi10 test?
  22. Well this is interesting! While I'm happy to see that they are still supporting the MLM I do hope that this comes to the MLM2PRO as well. would make for a much simpler video for @Lacassem and I comparing the Mevo+! haha
  23. Good morning all! Happy Thursday and one day closer to the weekend! Someone at the school district decided that today should be a half-day for the boys which I find to be patently absurd. They already have a vacation week this month and they get weekends off! looks like I’ll only be enjoying a few hours quiet working from home today!
  24. Can't come soon enough! I guess I should probably start up a new Stack program to make sure I'm in good form this year!
