  1. Oh yeah I’m the summer the right bounce and you can less than 100 in. I find it most intimidating when the flag is back. Always feel like I’m going to sail it past off that downhill lie.
  2. Great round! Seems like Phoenix is treating you well! How do the courses compare from where you were in Chicago?
  3. Nothing super exciting today, but my drive on #9 will keep me coming back for more. Set me up in the middle of the fairway with a GW approach shot. I messed that up but chipped it tight for the tap in birdie
  4. Well as @Lacassem eluded to earlier we played a Thursday AM 9 hole round today. I fared better than Mark but only slightly so. I ended up with a 44. Start off well with a Par after just missing the fairway, stroking a hybrid exactly where I wanted to and then an OK chip and two putts. Second hole is where the party started... Took out the same hybrid and wanted to hit the same shot... blocked it far enough right it deserved to be lost, and almost did the same with my provisional. Thanks to significant clearing over the winter I found both. Couldn’t get out of the crap and got a double bogey. Actually got penalty strokes on the next two holes, one in the water on a par three (ended up double bogey), and one driving into the marsh/protected area on a par 5 and continued to compound mistakes (triple). I almost never take driver there, as it is a risk, But Arccos said go for it and I gave it a shot. The issue is if you go left your cut off around 250 yards where the right gets down to 300. I went left and flew into the crap. Then I finally settled down and hit some decent shots going +1 on the last 5 holes. Highlights: Putting continues to be rock solid. I had 3 1-putts and 6 2-putts. I tested myself plenty as my first putts were not rolling to tap in territory. I think I made 3 or 4 in the 6-8 foot range to avoid a 3 putt. The most impressive would be after this show on #8: This wasn’t exactly the shot I was setting up for as the flag was on the far right, not the far left of the green. Arccos had my distance to the hole as 67 feet. I was able to knock the first to around 6 feet and made the second putt of par. My best hole of the day came on #9, a downhill dogleg right par 4. Here’s the tee shot: It was into a light wind that was also pushing a bit to the right. I got plenty of height on this one which is something I have been working on. From there I had about 115 to the flag. I got too cute and came up a few paces short of the green and kicked right off the slope. I took my 52* wedge and hit it in tight for an easy 1 foot tap in. Not a bad way to end the round. Keeps ya wanting to come back for more!
  5. Replacement @PrecisionProGolfNX9 slope for my NX9 Pro HD arrived today. The new design is super similar to the ones we reviewed. It’s a little longer and they must have taken my advice because the moved the mode button further away and recessed it which was my biggest issue. Overall a great example of customer service!
  6. M5 has an amazing sound. Coming from the G30 the M5 had a driver sound/feel that was addictive to the point of making me want to hit driver off the tee even when it wasn't needed.
  7. Not really something I bought, but its a replacement incoming: I noticed the last time out playing that my @PrecisionProGolf NX9 HD Slope from testing almost two years ago now had a dark spot on the lens. I cleaned both the viewfinder and outer lens and couldn't see any markings or scratches that could be causing it so I reached out to the customer support team to see if they had seen anything like that before. After describing the issue the Customer Support rep took my info and noted that they would be sending me out a new unit to replace the defective one. The only thing I can think of is a bad seal somewhere and some moisture got in and its a mold spot or something like that. Either way, Kudos to the care team over there as it's already on its way and should be here tomorrow, within about a week of me reaching out! I've enjoyed using the NX9 on the course and this customer service experience only adds to my happiness with the product and company.
  8. RAAAADDDDD baby! I'm still getting used to the Ventus in mine, but it's starting to really behave for me. I do really enjoy the look of the infinity face and find it super easy to align while being a nice shape overall.
  9. I still can't get over the sound the TSi3 had when Mark was hitting it. I need to go try it myself in an appropriate loft.
  10. How much for the headcover!? hahaha
  11. When I ask my college friend what he got on a hole and he achieved a certain high number he often will sing me this: I should note he's also 6'5 and probably 275lbs... so It's not something you'd expect him to sing.
  12. Rob, so glad you’re well enough to get back out there any rebuild some of that strength. I know we’re all looking forward to your thoughts on these, but more so just really happy to see you back on your feet. I’m going to be following along for more of your impressions on the TSi1. My dad has lost a lot of speed and strength and as a result his best drives are in the range you hit on your last round out. But he’s always trying to do it with a bunch of “as seen on TV” clubs. I’d love for him to try something like the TSi1 or other lightweight builds
  13. The other paid I have is the tailored fit. They still have room in the seat and thigh, but the leg tapers down nicely. I like them a lot. The 5-pocket pair I just got is more of a straight fit, and they also run a big longer even in the same size.
  14. sweeet! I love my FJ ProSL's. Got a few seasons out of them and now they're my range/sim shoe. I think the rubber nubs on them have really held up well over time. Enjoy and congrats on the win!
  15. Haha you’re not wrong there. It was actually a pretty diverse group. A former college player, myself, a weekend warrior who’s in it more for the fun and being outdoors than performance, and an older gentleman who lost distance but still shoots pretty well.
  16. I am mildly offended! Even if it’s true! they each got time to talk too.. just maybe not as much. Turns out there were representing Titleist. It was a pretty cool experience and fun to talk brands and perception.
  17. Great taste in bourbon, terrible taste in hockey teams. enjoy!
  18. Got these in today from Amazon: Puma Jackpot 5 pocket pants. After trying their stuff during CCC4 I can’t get enough of their apparel. I had received an Amazon gift card for doing a one hour focus group on golf equipment. Figure I’ll be able to get a polo with the remainder. Not bad for an hour talking golf!
  19. The Phrase: Godspeed, meaning "a prosperous journey," comes from the Middle English phrase God spede you ("God prosper you"). It was originally used to wish success to someone, like saying, “May you prosper. The Origin (maybe): Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin E. (Buzz) Aldrin, Jr. thundered away toward the Moon, the last words they heard from Launch Control were: "Good luck and Godspeed." Armstrong replied, "Thank you very much.
  20. Uh oh... 12 posts in your poor soul found this page already? Turn around and slowly walk away before your wallet starts to cry! haha Although... I can't say anything that would make you walk away from those clubs. The Speedzone woods were excellent and the Radspeed stuff felt just as good to me. The Cobra fairways are top notch for my game.
  21. Played OK yesterday with @Lacassem and the boys. It's always a little interesting while trying to teach them the game and play, but we had a good time. Shot a +4 37 with one birdie, 3 bogeys, and an unfortunate double on 9! I drove the ball much better than the last time I played and both driving penalties on 8 and 9 were good drives. On 8 I pushed the ball a little right and ran out of room sooner than I thought I would, or another group picked up my ball as that area runs adjacent to a tee box (the likely scenario unfortunately). My drive on 9 I would take 10 times out of 10. I hit a high beautiful baby draw and took a hard bounce when I needed a baby fade. I didn't think the edge was in range there so I'm ok with a well struck ball that ends in a bad place. Now I know that area is within reach when I play again. It also probably landed 5ish yards into the rough, so it wasn't off-line either. My mid-range wedges (50-100 yards) felt great, and I stuck a few in tight. My chips and pitches were generally bad. but its early in the season and my feel isn't quite there yet. Putting was OK, 15 putts overall with three 1 putts. On two of my other GIR I left the putt within inches of going in for the birdie. The greens were slower than what I normally play, and it showed as most putts were ending up short of target. Overall was glad to get out and hit some decent balls in the long-game, particularly my 298 yard drive on the first swing of the day. That always feels good!
  22. Congratulations guys! I know it wasn't an easy process for the mods to go through. Looks like we're all still in good hands here.
  23. Looking at a whole new set! Not for me though. Jackson’s driver met its untimely demise on the 7th hole today when the head dislocated itself from the shaft with a snap. it was nearly time for the next size up anyway. But now I’m looking a Junior sets that have a bag with “a stand” and “that double strap” which are the two features he is looking for in his new set. Haha
  24. Had two shots today that stood out to me as potentials beats of the day. The first was my drive on 1. 298 yard left center of the fairway. It led to my first, and only converted birdie on the day. The second one was a 57 yard wedge from the rough after taking a penalty. I knocked it to an easy 2-3 footer to save par. I liked this one a lot because you can’t really see the green behind the bunker. Those shots always make me uneasy.
  25. Ha! Golden ticket! My golden ticket would be reaching the playoffs! Even then, I’d rather see Louie win than Phil.
