  2. Thanks. I’ll check that out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I don’t like wearing a watch when I play but love to have that technology available. Bought a Bushnell Phantom Golf GPS and really love it! Has a great app for the phone and so far every course I have played has been on it. Main display shows front middle and back distances of the green and it will also display fairway and greenside bunker distances as well. If you don’t want to wear a watch it is a great alternative. I’d get one of the bright colors if you intend to use the magnet on the back to attach it to a golf cart. That way it would less easy to lose. That would be my only real negative of the device. Would hate to accidentally leave it somewhere. Other nice thing is there are no additional annual fees. Buy it once and forget it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah. It’s totally a want. Not to impress my friends. In fact I am a little embarrassed to be considering it. However I am passionate about golf. I don’t really expect great improvement or anything. Hopefully some. Really think the range and simulator capabilities would be a blast to use in the long IA winters. That’s Iowa, not Ohio or Idaho. Those are different places [emoji23]. Reason I haven’t is because it is so darn expensive for one thing the other is so always wondering if I won’t enjoy the purchase as much as I think I would. I don’t have access to big box golf stores to hit on a launch monitor without a 2 hour drive. Thanks for your input. Honestly wanted to hear other perspectives which is why I posted it originally. 5. Yes. Not a ton. I play at least 6 a year. Some years more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was thinking that would be an issue. Makes club data less appealing to me with GCQuad. Now that you mention it I remember that happening to Ben Crane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ok Spies looking for some advice. Been saving for a real launch monitor for years. I realize these are insanely expensive but as I said I have been saving up and am close to pulling the trigger. I would primarily use this in my garage hitting bay for testing carry distance and dispersion as well as use the simulator function for the range, skills and course play. Wouldn’t be doing a full blown screen or projector at this point. Would hope to add that later. I would also want to take this to the range some during the season for practice. Been thinking QCquad for several reasons. Primarily the ease of use in the new form factor and accuracy of the new design. I like the fact that you have a larger hitting area and that it is easily transported to the range. So my questions are should I get the club head feature? I would like to have it but am not sure if it will be worth the money. I worry about having the stickers on my gamers and one falling off during a tournament or something as well as having to replace these after playing outside. So i guess I am looking for thoughts. Is the GCQuad worth it? Should I consider a GC2 or something else. I appreciate any of your thoughts!!
  8. Dang. Love the blacked out look!

  10. Garage practice set-up. Bender is big on feedback negative or positive when making a swing change. My favorite drill station to help me hit push draws. Cone set on toe line to promote hands in club head out on backswing. Impact bag set up so club path goes in to out slightly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I personally feel like Mike Bender might be the best golf instruction Instagram account around. Some of his methods are certainly different than many of the new instructors touting opening up, wrist angles and rotation. From what I have read he strives to teach the most efficient swing possible and he does a darn good job at it!! Other guys to look into: Mike Malaska- YouTube Jeff Coston on Twitter, YouTube Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Congrats guys! Truly envious. Can’t wait to hear the reviews. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have read the book as well. While I don’t have the time right now to provide a lengthy review I will say one of the tips I found most valuable was practicing hitting full shots with the ball in widely varying positions within your stance from in front of your lead leg to behind your trail leg (and everyplace in between) I have added this to my range sessions by hitting 10-20 balls in this manner just trying to put center face contact on the ball. It does wonders for your confidence and your ability to get the club on the ball correctly from different positions. You can also do the same thing from different lies and slopes. As we all know when you are playing golf on the course it is rarely a flat lie like the range. Ultimately the task remains the same of controlling the clubface to make good contact and direct the ball toward the target. I have found that this has helped me a bunch- give it a try.
