The Cold Plunging Thread
GolfSpy_SHARK replied to GolfSpy AFG's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
Tons of studies tons of benefits, in the end it still really sucks during! Great article and look forward to seeing long term benefits Hayes! Want to get into this but didn’t bite the bullet over the winter, something about being 10* out getting into 34* water seemed extremely brutal….maybe when I can get it into a halfway warm room -
Such a good driver

Great unboxing video, really well done. -
Headed to PGASS the other day for some much needed relief after work (it’s been hectic to say the least). Hit the AI smoke, Qi10 and dark speed. Definitly in the market to replace my radspeed in the 1st half of the season. AI smoke was a no go. Could’ve dived in more but initial setup wasn’t right and the feel was ehhhh. I did like the overall look too down but didn’t love the face. Was pulling everything which only took about 5 shots and moved onto the Qi10. Qi10 I hit well and was very consistent. I just didn’t like the feel at all, must have been the face. Also didn’t like the look at address, it almost looked like I had the face close, just looked odd. Then got the dark speed. Was consistent like the Qi10 and I just love the look of the matte tops, it looks and feels like a more compact head at address. Feel was spot on so look Ike I’m sticking with cobra. See if there are any golf balls.com deals in the near future

That’s kind of what I was thinking focus on a hole at a time
-
But different from just playing a single ball if you could put out multiple balls in play?
-
Yea strategy wise I think I would go hole by hole until I did it. Or if I could do 3 holes where it brought be back to the tee box of those 3 holes at the end to save time I think that’s a goood strategy to

Just hypothetical more of a do you think you could? would be cool to try if you have 4 hour rounds call it in 6 rounds could you do it?
-
Son saw this earlier on Instagram. if you had 24 hours and stamina was not a problem, could you birdie all 18 holes at your typical local course? again stamina. It an issue and no one else in the course just you going through every hole and trying to birdie them. for me I don’t think I could in 24 hours. I would choose my local club maplegste CC. I think I could eventually but there are a few par 4s that would be brutal. what say you? What course would you try to tackle and could you do it?

Photo Scrolling: Old photos when going through your phone

Another scroll through day. below 2 are from a round in 2022 with my dad @Placasse61 my cousin and son. Hot August round. Remember this round well not only because it was a good round but my son on the par 4 4th (signature hole) is about a 100 yard uphill carry from the whites to clear a large ravine. Well my son had been playing the reds as I normally have him do and as he usually does begged to play the whites. We got to the 4th hole and I said ok if you can clear this ravine then you can play the whites today….wouldn’t you know it….he cleared it. He even got to drive the cart. -
Received the "Irish Camo" and "Shark Bait" I decided to go with the M this go around because the last ones I ordered were the L and were a little to big. The M fits extremely well for any of those thinking of what size to go with, size down. I am a L in every other brand for reference.

Cant wait to see these start to arrive! As we all say, drive for show putt for dough! Lets see the money fly at the end of this test! -
Again thank you for this opportunity, it was a blast! Final review is up (sorry for the delay)...Lots of unforeseen things the past two weeks that really slowed me down (and still is). I think not having anything besides my phone to operate the program with the Pro Package and Face Impact gives some different insight from the other testers so please read!

Good stuff! I like the mindset, breaks it down nicely, key to do this is doing it every shot which is the hardest part! -
Controversy among Mcllroy, Hovland and Spieth
GolfSpy_SHARK replied to Cade Rousseau's topic in Tour Talk
I wish there was an ability to see it live. Like you all have said tough to have a camera catching every angle….but I don’t think it’s unreasonable. This day and age seems like it could be a pretty simple task and can remove the guessing later.
