  1. I have just bought this for winter here in Christchurch NZ. My Titleist Staff Bag was getting to Dirty on the course so it wait until Summertime.
  2. Does this mean I will see you at TGC again Nunfa0 lol We are well over due a round together.
  3. If I had not just bought the Mizuno 223's, these would have definitely been on the to try list.
  4. I have just added a Titleist U505 3 Iron with a 80g Hazrdus RDX Smoke Shaft.
  5. You all posed some really good points. Tonight after work I played 9 holes with the 3 iron in the bag. Off the tee it is extremely solid and I was able to work the ball left and right. Playing from the rough did not seem to be an issue, I was still able to get good height and launch angles. I will use it for another few rounds and keep you all posted on how it is performing. If I was going to try a hybrid, what are some brands that you would recommend?
  6. I know this comes down to personal preference a lot of the time, but I have decided to put a Titleist U505 3 Iron with a 80g Hazrdus RDX Smoke Shaft in the bag. The main reason for this is have a club in the bag that I can rely on as a fairway finder.... If there is anyone out there that has used one of these or can recommend a better option, I am all ears
  7. Congratulations to all the testers, I am looking forward to reading your reviews.

    Mizuno 223 Review

I completely agree. I had a good friend of mine who is a +5 handicap hit my 7 iron the other day and he was amazed at the feel and control that the 223 offers.
  9. Congratulations to the winners. I am also keen to keep up with the reviews on the DI, as this is one club that has been in consideration for a while now.

    Mizuno 223 Review

Yes you are quite right @Nunfa0 is a member at TGC Thank you for comment.
  11. Hey Everyone, I have not done this before but had to write this for anyone considering new irons. I have always been a Japanese forged guy when it came to irons. So when it came time to upgrade from my Honma irons, Mizuno was my first thought. Talking with my local golf club proshop (Templeton Golf Club) they signed me up for a Titleist fitting. Now to give you some context I injured my back 2 years ago and have had pain issues ever since. So I was looking for an iron that would give me playability as well as forgiveness, sounds simple right lol. I was fitted into the T100 with a 105 gram stiff shaft. Don't get me wrong these are an amazing iron, however they felt a lot firmer off the face than I was accustomed too. So I headed off to our local driving range and booked in with their club fitter, shout out to Jordon Latter. Jordon knows my swing well, so when I walked in he said you have two choices! T100 or Mizuno 223. With a 115 gram stiff Nippon NS Pro fitted into each iron, looking down on both irons they had a similar top line, with the face of the Mizuno being slightly longer. I was very surprised that both 7 irons went similar distances with a similar flight (160 meters carry) It all came down to aesthetics and feel. For me the Mizuno gave me more confidence at address with the larger head size. And lets be honest here I am no Cam Smith. So how would I rate the Mizuno 223? They feel is honestly like swinging a practice swing, you can hardly feel the ball fly off the club face. I have picked up about half a club in distance with a smooth tempo, and my dispersion has also decreased as well. Now I am currently playing to a 9 handicap, but am able to work the ball both ways. In this department the Mizuno can not be faulted, as well as having incredible forgiveness. However if you catch it thin you are going to know about it very quickly! So as you can probably imagine I would rate these irons a solid 10/10. This is one iron you can't look past if you're wanting workability, feel and forgiveness.
