  1. Signed up and ready to roll! First timer. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Biggest accomplishment in golf for me is definitely shooting under par once. Never had a swing lesson but I’ve been around golf courses my whole life and taught myself the swing. At the time I was playing a lot of golf and shot a 70 for a -1. Felt pretty damn good! Haha Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. If you haven’t received your email yet, you can go to the Masters ticket website and it will tell you. With all 2020 ticket winners being guaranteed their spot for the 2021 Masters, I assume very few names were drawn from the 2021 applications. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. One things my friends and I do is when we hit a ball in the tall grass, woods, etc. as long as another player agrees with the general area the ball was at, we take a free drop in that area. Allows you to look briefly but not have to worry about losing a stroke on a ball that you know isn’t OB or something like that. Helps with limiting those extended search times. Driver: Callaway Epic Sub Zero (Fujikara 62g Stiff Shaft) Irons: Mizuno MP63 (stock length & lie) Wedges: Mizuno Blue T7 (60,56,52 degree) Location: Lexington, KY Handicap: 7
  5. Henderson! Haha I am originally from Owensboro, KY. Now live in Lexington but frequently play golf in the boro. Welcome to MGS! Driver: Callaway Epic Sub Zero (Fujikara 62g Stiff Shaft) Irons: Mizuno MP63 (stock length & lie) Wedges: Mizuno Blue T7 (60,56,52 degree) Location: Lexington, KY Handicap: 7
  6. I am glad to hear this! I ended up swapping out the NX2 for the NX7 so I’ll be getting out on the course with it as soon as it arrives.
  7. I actually did steady my hands against my cart and used two hands. I tried everything to be honest. I sometimes had to shoot the flag 8-10 times before it would give me the correct yardage. And with my last 2 rangefinders I’ve never had to steady my hands to get a yardage. All this said, I was not mad and am not trying to bash the product, it just wasn’t the performance I was wanting. I returned this model and have purchased the NX7 so I’m excited to try it out! I have faith in their products, just looking for the best fit.
  8. Hello again all, So I got the NX2 on Thursday and played 2 rounds over the weekend. To be quite honest, I was not a fan of this model’s performance. I had a LOT of trouble getting the correct yardages, and any time there was a tree or anything behind the flag it would give me that yardage. Often times even 100+ yards behind the flag. It does GREAT at giving distances to sand traps, front of greens, other trees, etc and ergonomically it was great. I still have faith in the precision pro brand, so I’m going to return this one and upgrade to a higher priced model to test it out. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. Looks awesome! Got my NX2 in today and took it to the range. So far I love it. Picked up everything I shot and picked it up quickly. Very short sample but so far so good! Got a full weekend of golf ahead of me so we will see how it does on the course
  10. Definitely interested in joining! Sending PM to commissioners now. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Thank you for all of this info Greg. All was really helpful. The one I left at the course was an older Bushnell and had some of those same issues from time to time, so I am excited to give this one a try and compare the 2. Thanks again! Playing this weekend so I will know soon enough haha
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I get mine Friday and am playing Saturday and Sunday so hopefully we both have a a great experience this week with them!
  13. Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I think the 2 is a new model so I am excited to try it out. I have heard nothing but great things about customer service and the free batteries for life is great too. Looking forward to giving it a shot! Driver: Callaway Epic Sub Zero (Fujikara 62g Stiff Shaft) Irons: Mizuno MP63 (stock length & lie) Wedges: Mizuno Blue T7 (60,56,52 degree) Location: Lexington, KY Handicap: 7
  14. Have been considering buy these so these reviews are great help! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. Good morning all, Last weekend I left my rangefinder on the course and it was not turned in, so yesterday I purchased the Precision Pro NX2 as a replacement. I had an older Bushnell before. I have read the articles on here ranking rangefinders, so I was confident in this purchase, but was curious if anyone here has the model I purchased? If so curious what your thoughts are on it? Playing in a tournament this weekend so had to bite the bullet and purchase haha Thanks in advance for your responses!
  16. I have been installing my own for 4-5 years because I am picky. Haha! Has to be perfectly straight and logo correctly in line with the shaft when I lay the face down. Also on all the way and no twisting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’m sure you will, but hope to see your feedback on this! I’ve been looking at these for a long time and have read many reviews, but I tend to trust MGS feedback more than most. Looking forward to hearing your take on it. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. As someone who changes my grips every season, I’d love to have this! I’m usually in the floor of my living room with a makeshift setup haha Great review! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Welcome! I think everyone has hit the nail on the head in saying “good” is different for everyone. I would just say that golf, in my opinion, is arguably one of the hardest sports in the world to pick up and get good at. Set yourself small goals so you can have small victories as you continue to learn. I’ve played golf since I was 5 years old, but it wasn’t until I i started working at a course and could play 3-4 times a week that my game took off. With that being said, I know people who never practice and are better than me so it’s different for everyone. Golf is all muscle memory, and luckily for you, you’ve got a coach alongside you to build that muscle memory! Good luck on the golf improvement journey! Enjoy the process. My biggest tip to save yourself strokes no matter what handicap, become a great chipper and putter. Strokes around the green are an EASY way to gain 4,5,6 strokes or lose those strokes. I play with a family friend who shoots mid to high 80s. He’s not a great driver of the ball or iron player, but he’s very good around and on the greens! And you can practice putting in your own home with makes it very achievable! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. All this feedback makes me want one even more haha! Appreciate it. The technology seems awesome and I’ve read some of the other forums on here about them as well. No doubt an Evnroll will be my next putter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Definitely an argument to be made there. I think the fact that he did play is telling about how good he feels though. With the masters a couple weeks away I don’t think he’d have played if he didn’t feel 100% and like he could rattle off 7 rounds in 5 days. But, there’s definitely an argument to be made that he shouldn’t play in it. Especially since it doesn’t really give you much practice for the masters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Me too. Not looking good in this par 5 bunker shot though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I could watch these two battle it out all day! Tiger reaches another level of focus when he’s in moments like these and Rory, even when he’s not playing great, always finds a way to hang around and give himself a shot. Need this as the final group at The Masters! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I’ve always said, find yourself someone who loves you as much as Hank Haney loves Hank Haney! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Ah ok. I thought you were wanting to know whether or not to use this technique. Haha but yeah that mowing technique makes sense to me and is probably true. I worked at courses for 5+ years and sadly never noticed that! I know pros always take into account whether a putt is down grain or not so I can see this being a thing on chips shots.
