  1. Selling my used Mevo+. Purchased in December 2020 but didn’t receive my unit until March due to production and shipping delays. Still under flightscope warranty until March 2022 I believe. Used mainly in my home hitting cage and at the driving range. In great shape and comes with everything pictured. asking 1650 obo. If asking for shipping, add 3% for PayPal and whatever shipping cost for your preferred method. Located in Seattle and San Diego (I travel back and forth relatively often)
  2. I’m looking for last years SIM driver 8 deg head, don’t care about shaft. Send pictures and prices and I’ll get back to you. Thanks for looking.
  3. I've played the AVX and tested many other balls such as the chrome soft, chromsoft x, snell, srixon, etc. all on launch monitors and still saw high amounts of spin. At this point the ball is the least of my worries as manufactures are so good now-a-days that they all practically perform the same. Specifically with the 2020 AVX ball that came out in october, I was spinning them lower by a fraction at around 8200 without reducing launch angle. But when it came to hit my woods and driver it was a different story where i couldn't get enough spin to keep the ball in the air. Spinning around 1700 with my driver.
  4. Thanks to everyone for your comments and replies. I appreciate you all for your input. I've decided that before I commit to changing shafts, I'm going to work on my swing and play around with some lead tape. Im going to see if I can shallow out my attack angle and reduce dynamic loft. As for the lead tape, I'm just going to temporarily attach them to the head using some tape and see how it works. It won't be anything too crazy because I love they way they feel. Probably somewhere in the range of 2-5 grams per head higher up towards the top line.
  5. I would be interested in switching shafts if I knew which one would be the perfect fit. I love a stout feeling shaft that doesn't flex on my down swing. As for strengthening the lofts, I play my lofts a degree stronger at: 4i-23*, 5i-27*, 6i-30*, 7i-34*, 8i-38*, 9i-42*, PW-46* If I were to go stronger I would have a very large gap between my Pw(46*) and Gw(52*)
  6. Yes is did, I had the lofts and lie to match the cobra specs. I did do a fitting with a Taylormade rep comparing my old irons to the P7TW before I ordered them. The thing with the fitting is that at the fitting, the demo iron was bonded to a tour issue X100 shaft. So I was unable to try the head on my shaft. With the X100 I was getting the ~8500 rpm and med/high launch so he recommended that I order the irons in my current shaft and that the differences between the X100 and 6.5 would lower the spin and launch. So now after playing them for about a year, I think i might try and go with Project X 7.0, DG X7s, or something in the KBS range.
  7. Hello all, I was hoping to get some help from other members who are more knowledgeable than I am about this stuff. I recently switch irons about a year ago from an old set of King Cobra pro MB 08' irons with project X 6.5 shafts. I played them for a long time. I upgraded to P7TW irons with the same project X 6.5 shafts. I had the lofts measured and they were exactly the same specs but after playing with these clubs for so long, I have found them to fly shorter than my previous irons by about 5-10 yards. I went to a GC Quad range to compare them and saw that the P7TW was launching higher by about 2 degrees and was spinning at 8500 rpms compared to the cobras at 7400rpms. Do you think that adding some lead tape or changing the head weight in the club to change the swing weight will help me reduce the launch and spin rates???
  8. So from my understanding is that the P7TWs all come from the same molds. After being forged, TM will separate the heads into TW specs and Stock specs. After separation, the lofts will be bent and the soles will be mill ground to have the same amount of bounce.
  9. Play as much golf as I can! And hopefully score a round under par and/or go bogey free through 9 and 18
  10. Great name Also I love Arizona! I have so buddies that moved out to tempe and phoenix and plan to move there in the future.
  11. Since my baseball career ended prematurely in college(2015). I typically shoot in the high 70's to low 80's. I love the mental game and the fact that it is an individual sport that all results are based on my input. I saw some giveaways that attracted me, but stayed for the knowledge that it contains. San Diego, CA. I play regularly at Torrey Pines but have a rotation of courses. Summer Drought!! So many courses are closing or being poorly maintained due to the inability and high cost of water. Future doctor It was a nickname that my friends had for me growing up.
  12. Sorry for the delay, I was extremely tired after 36 holes of golf in 103 deg heat. With that being said, yesterday was an absolute blessing. To be able to go and play golf has really lifted my spirits during this trying time. The course was very busy as the tee sheet was filled from 6 am to 3 pm. The greens were rolled and pure. The fairways were well maintained with a few dry spots due to the transition of the over seeded rye to bermuda. Every single tee box was immaculate and i could not complain. I was playing from the blues which was playing about 6400yds. Pins were raised and bunkers were left rakeless to prevent touching. There was no water on the course so we had to bring our own but there was a cart girl if you choose to purchase drinks only. Despite all this I was able to shoot my two lowest rounds ever!! 74 and 71(even par)!! I will definitely be back.
  13. In a few hours I will be making the trip to Palm Springs, CA for my first taste of quarantine golf at Cimarron Golf Resort. I will update my post and share my experience following my round. Hopefully I won't bake too much. Its supposed to be in the low triple digits.
  14. It depends on the courses you play as well as your ability off the tee to find the fairway. How thick is the rough? If the course has medium to thick rough, I would prefer to put a hybrid in the bag. Its a club you can still hit off the tee and will save you when playing from the rough. If the course has little to no rough and is a links style course then a 2 iron would be in my bag. The hybrid is a lot more versatile in the types of lies you can use it. While the 2-iron gives you more workability and control of the ball. I put a GaparLo 2-iron in my bag because I play on a lot of courses with med to little rough and it is a little bit more versatile then a regular 2-iron. Its kind-of-a mix between the two.
  15. NO not the Miuras! But hope you get yourself back together soon. I had a set of 718 AP2 Black, They re pretty great and forgiving similar to your old Miura CB if you were looking for something close to replace them on a budget.
  16. Hey congrats on your amazing improvement in the past year! 9 to 1.9 Hdp and from 106 to 125 mph is extremely impressive. I hope to be swinging at that 125 mph zone soon too. Im sure you know that when looking at new clubs getting fit is of vital importance. But the high cost of new clubs and cost for fitting are sometimes out of reach. The next best thing is to go to a used golf equipment shop, similar to golf mart or roger dunn golf shops, who sell a wide range of used golf equipment and test different clubs and shaft combinations out in their hitting bays. Most of them have a GC2 or other golf simulator that can give you numbers. After identifying what shaft works best for you, you can build yourself a new set of clubs! Wish you luck and happy hunting!! In terms of irons to replace your callways, there are some nice previous generation players irons that are comparable. Titleist 716 or 718 AP2 or Taylormade p750 or p770, or Callaway Apex pro irons are all comparable. Ive played the 718 AP2 and they're nice, smooth, and forgiving. I would recommend them or the Taylormade p750 to replace your old irons.
  17. Cant argue with yoga and regular stretching. I maintain my mobility and increase my range of motion by stretching every morning before I shower and whenever I golf i stretch and do a small dynamic warm up. The key is identifying where your weaknesses are and working at it.
  18. Two counties are open like mentioned above! But I’m hoping more in Southern California will open up soon! I’m heading out to the dessert to play this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. I was wondering if anyone he has purchased a Mevo + from flightscope and would be like enough to share their experience. I’m thinking about purchasing one and using it as an I home simulator and launch monitor at the range. It seems like a great deal.
  20. Its hard to tell from this angle but it seems that you maybe be releasing your hands early. But that is not a bad thing and leads to higher ball flights and some inconstancy. I would recommend trying to hold the lag in your down swing more. By doing so it will decrease your AOA. Tour players like Hideki have the same issues. They generate speed by releasing their wrists right before impact so then their club head is moving the fastest at the point of contact. But what they gain in speed can lead too thin to fat shots. If you want you can try recording your swing from the front on view.
  21. The 4 pack of Kirkland leather golf gloves are amazing for the price! You literally cannot beat 4 genuine leather gloves for $20.99!!
  22. Ive added lead tape to my M5 3 woods covering the speed pocket on the bottom of the club to achieve the same goal as you. Lower spin and lower launch. Just know that over time the lead tape will wear away. also its is damn near impossible to remove once applied and cured. SO you should try taping in on with duct tape and test it out before you commit to attaching the lead tape.
