I stripped My KE4 Max of color too.
Im really looking forwards to the KE4 Max review. Very cool of you to set that up. I shot one of my best rounds ever with them today.

    Hey y'all!
I have some exciting news. Hopefully I'm not letting the cat out of the bag too prematurely.. but here goes.
I've recently been communicating with a YouTube golf personality. As we all know, Maltby does not participate in any YouTube send-outs for review. It's just not something they're interested in. As far as the DTC surface world is concerned, there are 5 or so brands that remain in circulation and are unfortunately more recognized than the godfather of DTC which really is Maltby.
I've offered to send him a set of KE4 MAX irons to showcase on his channel and he's accepted and is very excited to get his hands on some Maltby gear. He'll be reviewing and sending them back once finished. I'm hoping that he'll be impressed enough, and that the reactions are positive and plentiful enough to then purchase a full set and continue the series with one of the forged offerings.
I'm sending out the set tomorrow. It'll take a few days to get to FL where he lives and then hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll finally be seeing a full review of the clubs.
As I receive more info I'll be sure to share what I can.
    Stay tuned!

I did something similar a few years back to “earn” the TS1s I’m playing.  My target was to shoot 36 on 9 holes.  It took a while for the stars to align.  I shot 36-48 one Saturday and the very next Saturday shot 45-36 on the same course.  I went from Ping Gmax irons to the TS1s and I think the smaller head helped me believe it or not.

Hey all. So I been tinkering again... I have been playing a set of the TS1s w KBS tour 90s s, the Ke4 Max w Nippon 840 s, and the TS3 9 & PW. Ive been doing mixed sets and Ive decided that my favorite are the TS3 for their amazing feel and soft metal.
Id like to get the 5,6,7,8 of the TS3 and maybe trade or sell outright my TS1s
These are my TS-1s. 6-gw with emblem paint removed. KBS Tour 90s in stiff flex. Currently Iomic grips installed (can give other grip options). Theyre great irons as you all know here. All clubs show light use as are less than 3 months old.
I figured ID come here before ebay to see if theres anyone who has some TS3s and would like to trade, or purchase them on a discount for enough to fund the rest of my TS3 set. If interested, let me know or if want more pics of whatever, message me.. If interested I can also add Maltby Max 52/58 wedges into the whole set. Light use, DG wedge shafts. BBF ferrules

Most similar to the KBS Tour would probably be the KBS TGI or PGI graphite shafts.    Copied from the TGI page:   It is designed with the same E.I. curve as our KBS Tour Steel and is in every weight class to fit every player from Juniors to Women, to Tour Professionals.

I have always found their Customer Service to be helpful;  you could reach out to them and see if the TGI or PGI would be better from you.

Played 9 today and used what My Strategy taught me was best based on letting it adjust for my dispersion.  I learned that my 3H pattern is slightly right with more right dispersion than I thought, my 4H is dead straight and tight for dispersion, 4W is slightly left but dispersion is tight, and my driver tends slightly right of target and the dispersion was larger than I thought.  On two par 4 holes where I usually hit driver, I hit 4 wood on one and a 3H on another. On a par 4 hole I normally hit 3H, I hit 4H.  These changes were based on what My Strategy showed for strokes gained and dispersion. I hit the short grass on all holes except #9 where I missed a little…right…in the rough with my driver, but managed to par it.  My Strategy changed my tee club on 3 holes, target point on 3 others, and helped me better define my tendencies (thought my 3H was a tad left, 4W more left, and worried too much about a D pull left).  I swung it better than usual (+1 for 9 holes), but I do believe it helped greatly.

3 degree Lie angle change, not loft change…they’re suggesting this since you are tall and your wrist to floor measurement.  You’re 6” taller than me and your wrist to floor is 4” higher and I was fit +1 for lie and plus 1/2” length.  What ultimately matters though is how you deliver the club to the ball.  So, after you have your clubs, go try’em and see if you need to adjust the lie.  They’re getting things into the ball park with the information available.  At Sub70, you can enter your data and see what it says to compare if you like.

The testing and trying out rolls on. I swapped my TE+ V4 DBM head with a golfwrx'er for a TS3 head that I just got in last night. Hopefully will get it shafted this week and see how it goes. It has a little more thickness to it which I like (confidence inspiring and closer to my current setup). Looks really nice in person.

Something that I have found very interesting on MyStrategy is the ability to add a plot of my shots to the dispersion cone, which I find helpful not only for deciding aiming point, but in some cases that one club may be better than another due to the actual dispersion of shots.

My P Avg is fine, but I can only move the blue dot at the tee and the aim point dot once each.  I have to save and refresh browser to move those dots and again it’s only once.  Doing this in Chrome and Edge.

I just got home from a 6 hour round trip to pick up a loft/lie machine.  From what I can tell, it's and older brand that isn't around anymore, but it should more than suffice for the tinkering I plan to do with it.  Kind of crazy to spend my whole Saturday on the road, but for $300 I couldn't pass it up.

I use both, as GPS inaccuracy is too great to rely solely on. GPS is great if you don't have line of sight, and it is easier to use for distances to and over hazards, but for approaches to the green I always use a rangefinder. I supplement that by looking at the GPS device for F/M/B distances, just to give me a rough idea of how much room I have in front and past the pin.
