  1. AI phone apps, that’s the new and I am ready for it. Help us out please. Dean
  2. I do watch the PGA, and the LPGA but not everyday, mostly on the weekend. Years ago I would watch the golf channel on a regular basis, but the coverage was biased to making people believe Woods was the next Arnold Palmer, that was awful for those who knew the truth. I also think that the broadcasts were boring and to concentrated on only a few players. Often you would be watching someone lining up their putt for what seemed like forever while you hated watching guys in your own foursome do that. The end of the golf channel for me was Brandel Chamblee, is there anyone who likes a know it all. Now the players have abandoned the one thing that got them where they are, golf on the PGA is still a gentleman’s game, and does not matter who the individuals are, LIV is like rooting for an enemy. Sad, vey sad.
  3. While most of us play from the whites while we age, I came to realize that we were being shorted. It seems every PGA tour pro has a handicap under par on the par fives, why ? Well because they can reach them, but we can not. Par fours they come in with a medium or short iron, and here and there is a reachable par four, we or I never have seen one near where I play. They only place we get some kind of a break is par threes it seems, theirs seem very long today. Even playing the senior tees at my home course would not put me on the par fives in two, it does make the par fours reachable. Then when we play or club championship they put the 7’s and below on the blue tees, where there is today one player who could reach the fives, and a handful who can get to the fours. Not very well thought out it seems, I would think to keep it fair we need to rethink the tees or all courses could use a hybrid system and move the tees to make the par fives reachable on 2 real good swings.
  4. I keep my gloves for most of the season here, about six months. I like to think my gripping the club properly is part of the reason. Second I am not a sweater, because I like it tacky I use a tacky cloth called Gorilla Grip, then store both the glove and the cloth in a good plastic bag tith a tight seal in my bag. I think the Gorilla Grip helps by me not having to grip it so tightly.
  5. Not today, but at least every other day have been going to our local YMCA, they have a nice hitting area with 3 bays. I have been doing a drill to stop coming over the top, At 66 years I do about 100 per day, then practice my pitching with about 50, half at 7:30 other half 9:30 ( Dave Pelz ). Going to start working on chipping, at least the basic moves. Next 4 foot putts starting by the end of the month. Dean Miller
  6. Back up your lessons with knowledge, Athletic Motion Golf, start with YouTube videos.
  7. I guess mine is semi private, we have memberships, and greens fee players. I like it that way, I think it keeps our costs down. People should take care of where they play, no matter what type of course. But sounds like you need a nice course to play at. I like being in a place with members, tournaments, always someone you know to join in with when you just decide to go play on a whim.
  8. I use it, I have come to realize that after you decide your line all that’s left is distance. Trying to see the line and feel the distance at the same time is hard.
