No I don’t as I can’t justify the purchase. 74 years young with an 8 handicap, I play twice a week and never practice. Go figure but I’m happy !!!

Well I think the cut will be +2 and the low amateur will be Stewart Hagestad.

27 holes max by then it’s probably scuffed, those unforgiving traps & cart paths

The most I’ve paid was $349.00 for the new Odessey A1 Cruiser Jailbird. So far the jury is still out as I’m on a learning curve

Good morning being retired I normally play on Tuesday & Thursday usually tee off between 7:30 - 9:00. Never play weekends too crowded and takes too long to play

Well now being a lover of watches I’d pick a
TAG HEUER
Connected Calibre E4 45MM Golf Edition Smartwatch
from the PGA Superstore in Southlake, TX
This would make an excellent bday/Xmas gift as the bday is 12/24
Thanks

Callaway Super Soft vs Srixon Soft feel

My 5 thru GW are MacGregor VIP VFoil forged irons & SW is a JAWS 54 degree. If I were picked as a tester I might switch but I’m a forge lover the cast clubs are too clunky.

In my opinion if I were losing 2 - 3 balls/ round I’d get with an instructor who could get me swinging more consistently & keep the ball in front of me. COSTCO sells their balls in a 2 dozen pack for about $25

"Value" means different things to different people. I am specifically looking for an inexpensive ball that will suit a high-handicapper with a medium (95 mph) swing speed who loses a lot of balls. I have come to the realization that, for a high-handicapper, there is little reason to pay a premium for a tour-quality ball - even a DTC one - when you are likely to lose 2-3 per round, and are unlikely to reap the performance benefits. I'd rather something cheap but consistent. I have been playing Maxfli Tour balls, but even these I feel are too expensive at the rate I'm losing them (and new model not yet available in yellow). For good reason, it seems that most of the analysis going into tour-level balls
So, here are my requirements:
- Must be available in yellow or a similar high-visibility color.
- Must be available for < $25/dozen (or seemingly always on sale for that price).
- Must not be too soft (60+ if not 70+ compression - or talk me out of this requirement).
- Must not be too spinny off the tee (again, talking about high handicappers trying to keep it in play).
Last year, I gamed Srixon Soft Feel a lot and kept finding myself coming back to it. Looks like they're still reasonably priced, and are finally available to ship in yellow (but not available locally). I also ordered 5 dozen Snell Get Sum in yellow for $80 (+$10 shipping) which seems to be a steal, but I imagine this is a closeout price and once they're gone, they're gone. I saw the thread here about the Maxfli TriFli which is intriguing at 2 for $40 (although 45 compression seems too low). Would love to try Vice Tour at $20/dozen, but not available in anything other than white.
Most of what's out there on this topic on the greater Internet appears to be stuff that was written by robots with the primary purpose of getting you to click on an affiliate link. So what's the Maxli Tour of non-urethane balls?

Usually 45-60 minutes b4 tee time that gives me enough time to prepare for the first shot of the day & test the greens

I have a set of the 0211 DC Irons (5-SW). Ordered them with the Recoil Dart 75 R Shaft. Be wary of this shaft as the F3 R plays closer to a stiff shaft. So if you need a R shaft I would suggest ordering the F2 A flex will play like an R shaft. I’ll either have this set re-shafted or sell them.

The Srixon Q-Star 2021 works well for me.
