  1. Keep reading all the posts here....man I just want the balls to get here so I can test [emoji24] Sent from my Pixel 8 using Tapatalk
  2. For those of you like me, who see awesome random golf clothes pop up on Facebook or other social media...and you wonder if they hold the test of time. So about 6 years ago I bought the orange tee sweater and the blue/orange highlight vest. The vest(gilet as they call it on the other side of the pond) is probably one of my favorite clothing articles. I work in an office, and can typically just rock the gilet with a t shirt under. The material is awesome and stretchy, free movement. After 6 years you can see how it's held up, the only stains are from me splashing some chlorinated water on it when chemicalling my hot tub [emoji24] The sweaters are an interesting material, mostly polyester. It's not really my jam, and they are not particularly warm (I prefer my Eddie Bauer ascent sweaters for this) but when it's around +12 or so they are definitely a good option. That said, I can't fault the durability and build quality of the material. The grey sweater is fairly new (6 months old) and they've changed from iron on vinyl to more of a stitched lettering on their stuff. That said you can see the color maintains over the years, as does the stitching, etc. Their polos are as good as anything out there on the market, nice and moisture wicking/breathable. Belts are great as well, though the end pieces sometimes come apart and just require a quick hammer with a towel to put the steel and back on after getting caught in some tight belt loops. Be aware they only ship with DHL and they tend to charge you arms and legs for import fees but honestly it's still a really good deal for what you get [emoji16] Hopefully this helps those of you who see those ads and ponder like me [emoji848] Sent from my Pixel 8 using Tapatalk
  3. I'm curious if god willing this ball will help me focus more and not have the bad tee in the tree bogeys that plague my rounds
  4. Hey everyone! Long time lurker/sponge of all things MGS, first time tester! I'm super excited for this one! I'm a structural engineer based out of Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada). The same very analytical approach I take to work/life does tend to spill over to my golf game. Spreadsheets are your friend! I also frequent the Palm Springs, California area as my folks are now both retired and have a place there. I started golf around 14 (37 now) when I went to visit my Grandpa. Fell in love with the game, and the ability to be outside in the sun all day free of all of life's responsibilities for a brief period. I also have 3 tiny humans (5,3 and 1/2 a year) which keep me and the mrs busy. Currently play off a 2.9, but am not as long as I probably should be at 260-280 for being 6'2". I play out of both Paradise Canyon and Henderson Lake golf club locally. It is known to be a little windy here typically; calm day around 10-15mph, 35 mph winds are quite typical. I still manage 2-3 rounds per week during golf season, but a majority of my practice/training comes at home...unsurprisingly using MGS recommended products. I have a simulator bay in the garage, a rapsodo MLM2PRO with GSPro, a spornia net for travel practice/backyard practice, BirdieBall putting mat, Rypstick, etc. Current ball varies between v1x-left dash and maxfli tour, depending on how I've been playing and which course I'm playing. I struggle with fairways and occasionally hit a bad putt or two a round...I feel from a lack of focus/commitment to a shot. I'm really interested to see if the mindset ball will help clear me of some distractions in my pre shot routine and hopefully shave a couple strokes off the game. Weird WITB below. Driver: Taylormade Burner Mini (11.5), no heavy weight ventus blue tr 7-x (45.5") 5w/2i- Taylormade M5 project x hzdrs smoke black 6.5(1/4" short)/Wilson Staff Model Blade grafalloy orange (1/2" long, 1 degree up) 3i-PW - Wilson Staff Model Blade - Dynamic Gold 120S (All 1/2" long, 3i/4i 1 degree up, 5i-PW 2 degree up) Wedges - 49, 53,58 degree - Taylormade MG3 - All same length as PW and 2 degree up Putter - Tour Edge Wingman 3 - Custom long shaft, Evnroll Armlock grip Ball - Prov1x-left dash/Maxfli Tour
  5. I have one as well, I tend to rush my downswing/transition. I don't use it in the winter as I occasionally shank one and that doesn't go well in the narrow sim That said, if tempo is an issue in your swing it will likely help
  6. Honestly, there are so many decent cheap monitors out there now (optishot2 for foam, mlm2pro for real balls) which will actually help you get better....why chance it on essentially a Wii golf alternative
  7. I have one as well, works awesome on the range. Set it up beside GC quad to do some testing. Ballspeed and launch angle bang on, carry varied a bit but most times within 5 yards also had a 170 yard 9i reading on quad so I'll blame crappy range balls that don't spin No overheating here, it's been about 30-34 here and I overheat before the unit does
  8. The mlm2pro works with Android, a majority of the connection issues you read online come from iOS. Issue is iOS is only way to get those sweet sweet free E6 courses so Anytime Im on the range, it's a quick setup to my phone.
  9. Long time lurker/absorber of data, first time poster here. Being in Canada, I wasn't able to get in on the pre-order for MLM2PRO however I've had the unit for a few months now and done a bunch of testing both indoors and outdoors. If you want to skip the remainder of review, numbers indoors vs GC hawk are in the spreadsheet below. Rapsodo range was used for the long irons, I noticed when I switched to practice mode on the app the numbers got much better. Unsure as to why that is. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fxGANWOB5TpMs3QJfcV3-HLHTqfmvpa1/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=100013177202253090372&rtpof=true&sd=true The good: - Portability - my course does have a GC4, it's quite big and bulky and I wouldn't use it as often as this as this just pops in my bag. Use it everytime I hit the range - Swing vid/Impact vid - This should be higher on the list of awesome features. Video of every swing, good or bad. Able to share with swing coach and fix some fatal flaws/issues. Did not think this feature was as valuable as it is. - Indoor Accuracy - As per previously attached spreadsheet, this this is bar none the most accurate for the price. It's essentially same level of accuracy as a skytrack, way better than Mevo+ for anything longer than a 7iron. I'm not a high speed player by any stretch (driver ballspeed around 150mph on a good day). Do have plans of further testing with my high speed friends who are in the 180's and 190's for ballspeed. Works great to turn your home net into a driving range. -Combines feature - This is super cool and will improve your skills/abilities. Essentially hit two shots for two preset distances, followed by two drives and you get points for proximity to hole/CL for drives. Really helps get you dialed in and focused on practice. - Free E6 5 courses and range - It's great, but limited to iOS. See below for why that's an issue. - Tracer/Data - This is kinda cool, would be fun to setup on first tee when you go to tee off so you feel like PGA style The not so good - Dreaded connection issues - I run android on my phone, but had to buy an ipad (gen7) to get free E6 courses and range. Wifi connections are an issue, and there are numerous times it works fine for 30 mins then drops off and you can't connect again. You lose your sim session and it's annoying. I've had no issues with connection direct connecting to Android phone, however to use sim you need the wifi sadly. - Outdoor accuracy - Definitely not as bang on as the indoor. That said ball speed is bang on so if you know your numbers with clubs indoors I don't see an issue. Even GC4 struggled with the beat up range balls, and the rapsodo does have "accomodation" for range balls which may explain the variation. It's bang on < 50 yards, might want to set it to "premium" balls vs range balls to get accurate data if you're working on wedges. -$200/yr subs - I'm hopeful they offer an "unlock" feature sim to Uneekors/BLP that you pay a one time fee and get access. Provided it's less than $600 you're still getting great value. - No putting - As of yet. Not a deal breaker, as most sims suck for putting anyways Weird quirks - Rapsodo range gives higher launch angles than practice mode. Dunno why, as this is what links to GSPro I'd like to see this fixed to accurately reflect Ballflight - Combines do weird things indoors for carry, dunno why. Seems to carry 15 yards further than practice mode....adjust elevation to fix as a bandaid but again should be fixed and dunno why in the same app with same device it gives different numbers. Super weird....maybe its double counting elevation As a guy who's used Mevo+, Skytrack, GC4, and GC Hawk this is by far my favorite for the price/functionality. Portability is huge for me, and being able to toss it in the bag and take it to the range and use at home is key. Mevo+ really struggled indoors with anything longer than a 7-5i, mlm2pro is bang on. Skytrack is great indoors but not that portable/struggles a bit outdoors. GC4 is great for both, but not as portable and is pricey. Any other questions/requests feel free to ask!
  10. Simulation is available with Optishots Orion software now which is nice for no subscription fees
