  1. Thank you everyone!! It is sure appreciated.
  2. Awesome review!! Love the course and agree it's better than CDA Resort. The Resort course is always in tip top shape but I played at CR about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it was in unreal shape for how early in the year it is.
  3. I will say that the black finish does make identifying impact on the face much easier to see! Plus visually the black finish has no glare at all on sunny days and the murdered out look is pretty sick!
  4. I have only played 4 rounds so far this year with my 639 black combos with moderate range time and so far so good. But I mean that's not a whole lot of use so I can do my best to keep you updated as the season goes on. I do my best to keep them clean after each shot with just a wet towel that way I'm not using something to abrasive to clean and effect the finish. Such great irons though, I have been nothing but happy since I put them in the bag. I kinda figured after a little use the look might be pretty cool having some of the finish worn off (as long as my wear marks are in the center of the club face lol)
  5. yea no kidding that's not even fair! I played yesterday, beautiful sunny day and I was happy the course was open, but it was about 45 degrees.
  6. I keep looking at the grass and your lie obsessing over how awesome it is lol. Just looks like a pure shot waiting to happen.
  7. Sub70 is super solid. They look and feel great with an awesome price tag attached. It's worth looking into their demo program to try out. I just put the 639 CB/MB combo in the bag and am very impressed.

  9. I have been loving the look of my combo set! Stand bag is definitely sick looking, I think they just released it last week!
  10. I bet there are some similarities for sure! I went to school in Grand Junction Colorado and had the opportunity to play a few of his courses over there and I loved finding all the similarities.
  11. Yes sir! There is so much great golf here no matter what state you're in. Qualchan is one of my favorites. I went and played CDA Public last Sunday before the state shut down and it was in great shape. There something about the tree lined courses in the area that I really enjoy. Black Rock is definitely more of a resort style golf course, but I think Jim does a good job at creating ideal risk/reward golf in all of his courses.
  12. Okay I put a couple pictures up! beauties
  13. @GolfSpy Stroker I will for sure when I get home!
  14. I just have to say, my experience with @GolfSub70 has been nothing less than out of this world from the time I ordered my irons to putting them in play. I have been playing Taylormade MB irons since 2012 and decided it was time to upgrade and after doing a ton of research (which is weird because i'm pretty impulsive). One thing I knew for sure was there was no way I was going to pay $1200+ for a new set that will just be old news in 6 months. The idea of DTC irons was a little intimidating, but I know my specs and felt pretty good about the security offered with the return policy. I ordered my irons March 6th (a Friday) and got a call March 8th (a sunday) mid afternoon from Sub70 to confirm my order, verify specs, ask if I wanted a hat and to thank me for my business. It took 10 days from the time I ordered my clubs to them sitting on my doorstep. I ordered the 639 forged black combo(4-6 CB, 7-PW MB) X flex KBS tour shafts, midsize TV Align grips (2 wraps bottom, 3 wraps top), +1/4 and 2 upright with no stepping. I played two rounds since putting them in the bag and I have never been happier with a set of irons. They flat out perform, feel great and are workable even in the CB. The ONLY thing I was unsure about when ordering was the amount of offset on the MB's. The CB's seem to have less offset (which I prefer) than the MB's and for me visually it was a little concerning (because I am a psycho when it comes to look) but after hitting shot after shot and seeing the consistency in ball flight and results I barely even notice. I trust every shot I stand over which is a good feeling. For myself, and I think a lot of other players, trusting the clubs to produce a consistent shot makes for a good swing with minimal thought. I will make sure and update as time goes by and more rounds are played. Snow has fallen again in the PNW where I live so it may be a week or two (ugh). One last comment, the personal touch of a hand written note from Jason thanking me for my business shows that Sub70 is doing everything they can to provide an excellent buying experience, and I appreciated it. 15. @Kenny B Some of my favorite courses are in Hayden by far. I love that tight tree lined old school feel. I look forward to everything opening up, hopefully our countries current situation doesn't push everything back too far. I will do my best to make it! A good golf trip sounds just right, right about now. thank you KB
  16. @Thin2win Thank you! Sand Point is a beautiful area, looking forward to getting up there for some golf this year!
  17. Hey everyone, Kris with a K here from Coeur D' Alene Idaho. I'm Kris with a K because everyone always gets it wrong and spells it Chris so why not be up front and state it. I started playing golf as a youngster in the Californian desert and continued through high school into college. I have been fortunate enough to play some excellent golf courses all over the country being a navy brat and playing collegiate golf. I try my best to keep my handicap between a 2 and 5 with the long winters we have in North Idaho but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. I play most of my golf at a beautiful Jim Engh course here called Black Rock as well as a handful of other great tracks in the area, and when I get lucky the famous floating green. Coeur D' Alene has beautiful moderately warm summers with beautiful mountains and lake views so get when the gettin's good. The other half of the year is filled with rain and the white stuff that consumes every green blade of grass turning the place into a white, frigid paradise. Luckily there are a handful of indoor facilities that have monitors loaded with some of the best courses in the country to keep your game somewhat sharp. Nothing quite compares to seeing the egg fly though. When I'm not golfing I fill my time with fishing and motorcycle riding which are all prime options with the weather we have during the summer and fall. Most of my time though is consumed sitting in a Jeep dealership as a Used Car Manager. A rewarding job when you can break down all the barriers and stereo types we get and actually help a customer. Mygolfspy instantly grabbed my attention due to the honesty and hard work put into making sure us as consumers have a unbiased and tested review on the ever changing equipment we have today. It's refreshing and honest and appreciated by so many of us. Being pretty fresh here I don't know any spies but am sure I'm surrounded by a few. With every round being different and providing a different experience, its not hard to say I love golf, but more difficult to explain why. One particular scene pops into my head though when I close my eyes and think of golf. It's a sunny summertime morning and the grass is covered in dew, I'm walking and just teed off. Being the first on the golf course every step I take flings drops of water onto my calves as I make my way to my tee shot. In the middle of the fairway I see the track of my golf ball landing, skipping and rolling in the dew and there rests my ball. It's that feeling that makes me love golf.... and of course absolutely puring an iron to 3 feet.
