  1. Just found this thread. Great read. I picked up a set of MP33's a few years back and well they are addicting that's for sure. I need to get them back out and play with them more. That are literally hanging on my wall starting at me everyday begging for some play. I feel like February is the wrong time but come spring I may switch to these for a month or 2. Do I have the game Nope but do I love that feel O YEA
  2. I think it's a valid option I had some emt laying around. I didn't necessarily consider weight in it consideration. I do believe the official one if all Aluminum. So definitely lighter in the tubes but heavy top and bottom. PVC could work just not sure on diameter and if there would be any twisting of the structure.
  3. Hopefully the prints came out well. So the way I did it was press fit the bearing through the top. Place the top plug through and secure in place with the eye hook. Hope that helps let me know if you have any issues. (My printer has a little tolerance issue with the bearing so I had to wedge some paper inside to secure it.)
  4. What an incredible opportunity all. Good luck look forward to seeing each of your thoughts on all the mevo devices.
  5. I just got the email this morning. Kind of off I got it 12 days later but super excited for them. I was really disappointed when they got shut down for cost cutting reasons by their previous parent company. Anyone know if they have the same facility and staff?
  6. I have the KE4 4wood as well. Has matches the distance of previous 3wood and has been a solid addition to the bag. Played around with the weights a little and found 2 extra grams help get me the best feel.
  7. I know I'm about 2 weeks late but love it when my homebrew makes MGS Front Page!
  8. Good write up Pete. I'm sure you will get quite a few in this thread that agree with you. I really enjoy Maltbys recent line-up but have only tested the TS3s. Have any numbers or details of what caused you to go to a TS3/TS4 combo set?
  9. So I believe Britt & Maltby have mentioned many times most golfers won't notice a difference of 100MPF points. That being said I would think Head design and technology would differentiate the TS3 TS4 and TE+ TE+ - Slightly wider sole, "Classic" Design, available DBM finish TS3 - Progressive Offset, Tungsten toe weight, Highest MPF TS4 - 1-2* Weaker Lofts, CNC Milling (Sole, leading edge, face), Minimal progressive offset, Tungsten toe weight I have only hit the TS3 and TE (V3?) but I think the preference in head designs and your ball flight will be what should drive most of your decision.
  10. What Mizunos did you play? I got a set of MP33s that are always begging for time on the course. Excited to hear your feedback of the TS4s I'm really wanting to blend a set or replace my full set but worth winter approaching and my course time limited this year its been a tough sell. Have you ever played Maltby product before?
  11. Stuck in the lefty predicament. I haven't tried the STw2 but I have yet to disappointed in any of Maltby products. Biggest think is knowing what you need for a shaft and go from their.
  12. I have the KE4 4 wood and love it. It was the right gapping for me phasing away from a 3 &5w but giving me plenty of forgiveness and pop.
  13. It's been a minute since my last update but well I haven't been able to really get out since I finished the test. I got out for 18 holes on Monday and forced myself to spend 20+ minutes on the practice green getting used to the speed. Overall on the round, I was happy with my putting especially since it had been close to 2 months since I had played ended up with 33 putts which I'm satisfied with. I knocked 2 get approaches to 3' but made them both and only had two 3 putts on the day which was a huge step in the right direction. I lagged pretty well and was pretty confident inside of 8 ft only missing 1 or 2 putts inside that distance.
  14. Yea it sure does this is the worse position of it but can definitely hide many clubs.
  15. That's a good question I believe mm but it should be pretty obvious once it's placed on the plate. The cross member is 6-7" I don't quite remember.
  16. Well it's still taking me time to adjust. I may fall into the camp of doesn't work but I did find confidence in the 5 footers but having the DF2.1 which takes up half the distance to the hole (sarcasm). Which model are you using?
  17. I plan to dive deeper into the Quintec data in the next few day and share to anyone that cares just to help put some real numbers behind what I learned. As for the Virtual fitting it's a huge resource if your looking at LAB or any other putter for that matter. In my opinion ts comparable to the MyTrueFit in the fact you can get some great data and information out that you can use to dive deeper. Also gives you the numbers if you see the specs on LAB outlet site or someone posting one for sale. I truly believe if your curiosity about LAB you have to try it ideally for a full round or more.
  18. Finish a Review...time for a homebrew. Bourbon Barrel Stout. Nice and smooth.
  19. Official Review is up. A little later than I wanted but @TSauer brought his A game with graphs so I had to spend too much time making them look decent. Something tells me I had a bit of a different adjustment time as the rest of the crew but that's why there are 6 of us. Again a huge thank you to MGS team and LAB golf for allowing me to test this putter there were a lot of eye opening things for me and I am grateful to have this opportunity.
  20. Great read. I plan to have mine up tomorrow. Just got done with a Quintec fitting and it was enlightening to say the least.
  21. So this weekend was a big one got 72 holes over 2 days. Had a phenomenal day and a mediocre day. I had some fantastic putts both days but just had some fall out on day 2. Day 1 all my shortgame was hot had several chips that left me with gimmes but also dropped has 31 putts on both rounds. The greens were crazy and fortunately I didn't have too many super long putts to deal with. I played with @pozzim and he was a mile away on top many holes and had 80 total putts. The heartbreaker was on hole 36. I was at 53' it was uphill and side hill, the ball wouldn't stop and rolled 15' past next one broke 5' to the right and left with 6' and then lipped that out. Finishing with a 4 putt ugh. Day 2 putting overall wasn't great with 38 in the morning and 34 in the afternoon. But I made a beautiful 33 footers for birdie and has 11 holes where I was 18'+ away and left it within gimmie range. Chipping wasn't great so left a lot at of 18+ feet putts to contend with. Also I know I'm right against the end of the review but may have a Quintec analysis this coming weekend. Let's finish with a bang.
  22. I agree with @TSauer it is the highest quality headcover I have ever owned. It's has a nice supple leather exterior and pillow soft interior to protect the putter (It's true purpose). I have in no means babied it and although I'll go more indepth in the review it's held up extremely well.
  23. Alright the DF2.1 has its final trials this weekend. 72 holes planned starting tomorrow 7:30 I'm ready to get dialed in and see results. Wish me luck and send all the good vibes.
  24. I understand your pain... Did I leave my 58 on the last green? Nope it's in there.
