  1. I've had a spornia net set up in my garage for the last year and change, I think you'll really enjoy it!

  3. Life has gotten busy and kept me from being as active as I'd like on the forum, but this was too good not to post! First 9 holes under par!!! 34 (-2, net -5) 3/7 FIR, 8/9 GIR, 15 putts Everything was just humming today! Really good off the tee, approach game was fantastic for me, and I think I scared the hole every single putt but one. Actually had it to 3 under after 8, bogied the 9th for the only blemish of the day, but one that I'm not upset about at all!! So pumped!!!
  4. First night of league last night! It was cold and WINDY, but great to be starting back up. My short game was unreal, I chipped twice to within 2 feet, and had a couple longer putts drop. Off the tee and approach wasn't terrible, but off just enough. It felt like each hole if it wasn't the tee shot it was my approach - if it was good contact it was misjudging the wind. Just one of those days. Ended up with a 43, but tons of great things to take from the round. Hoping next week the weather is a little more mild!
  5. Excited to follow along this year! And man, Cobra just keeps putting out awesome looking clubs!
  6. Nice! Totally agree, and really reasonable rates too. I haven't played white or blue, but I really enjoyed the other 3 that I have played!
  7. Love that course, one of my buddy's dad has been a league member there forever! Which 9 did you play?
  8. I use it similar to you - after every hole I edit the putts and will see pretty quickly if one of the other shots was missed or wrong. Makes for a little more work between holes than I'd prefer sometimes, but there's no way I'd be able to remember all the putts accurately after the round so it's a small price to pay for the awesome data!
  9. Downwind, downhill and a friendly hardpan bounce all definitely helped But you won't find me complaining!
  10. 43/42: 85, +13 (net +5) 4/14 FIR, 7/18 GIR 36 putts (3x 1 putts, 3x 3 putts) I was essentially net zero strokes gained for driving and approach, but lost strokes in short game and especially putting. Didn't take any penalty strokes which is going to be a big focus for me this year, and had a number of great approach shots. Just couldn't get putts to drop, but had some really good looks. Still kicking the rust off, especially the speed control. I'm hitting my lines so things should hopefully come back pretty soon.
  11. Date 04/23/2023 Course Name Kaufman Gross Score 85 Course Handicap 8 Gross Strokes over/under par 13 Net Score to Par 5 Net Score 77 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 361 Windy day, but always good to get out. Off the tee and approach were solid, couple mistakes and not great play on and around the greens made the score a lot higher than it felt like it was.
  12. Interesting. If they do bump up the price on the new one, I wonder if the original will continue to be produced or not.
  13. Awesome, feels like a long time coming! Curious when it'll drop and where it'll fall price wise.
  14. Found out in a fitting yesterday that my path has gotten pretty excessively outside in. Might be a product of hitting on a net all winter with no ball flight feedback Meant to work on that before playing, but ended up with better than expected weather so played 18. It was super windy, which led to some trickiness, and I couldn't quite get my path neutralized. Lots of pulls and a couple pull hooks. My putting felt great, hit my lines just didn't have much go down. Short game was tidy as well, and contact was solid throughout the day. Just gotta get the path sorted out and get a little more confident in the wind and things should be moving in the right direction!
  15. Did I hear correctly that they're calling it for the entire day for sure? Or is there still a chance they resume play this afternoon?
  16. Hahaha I saw that and was wondering the same thing I'm more than happy to be wrong, but just can't picture Cantlay hanging sheetrock
  17. They go by 50 players, + any ties, so I think just one of either Thomas or Im dropping to +3 would move the cut back
  18. That's a great idea, I definitely need to do that this year. I typically have a Kirkland Signature glove that I use when I'm playing and a cheaper more durable srixon one I use on the range - occasionally if I'm sweating a lot I'll go back and forth between the two during rounds but I should do what you suggested. I'm sure that would extend the life very well!
  19. Still a semi decent chance the cut line moves back a shot tho
  20. Some takeaways from the first "real" round of 18 for the year: Jeez, I'm not used to walking that far and I was running on fumes shortly into the back 9 My putting hasn't thawed off from the winter it seems Full swing game is showing some promise - particularly before I started getting tired, I hit some really nice shots My alignment is inconsistent, and I'm pulling a lot of shots I'm confident the putting will come back, just need to get some practice in. Alignment and pulls are a little confusing yet, but I'm sure it'll get sorted out soon.
  21. Just another reason to look forward to next weekend!
