  1. Is your hip height backswing due to medical reasons or just how you swing the club? Length of hand path has a huge correlation on potential speed so might be worth having a few lessons if there's no physical restrictions to see if you can get the hand path longer to give you more time to accumulate speed
  2. I can relate to this as also had issues at the start, changing point for me was to really focus on the sequence and how early the step needs to be, once I started stepping much earlier the speed jumped up massively and the light bulb moment happens.
  3. two things helped me the most, first was to watch all the videos on the Stack website, made me understand that progress isn't linear and made it easier to keep going and be consistent. 2nd thing was to go back and read this thread from the start, picked up some extremely useful info, learnt from others mistakes and successes. my results were a game changer for me, stick with it and you'll see results pretty quickly!
  4. my personal thoughts are that unless you're swinging at super high speeds, 130mph plus, the shaft flex isn't that relevant as you're simply trying to move it as fast as you possibly can and the weights add the required resistance
  5. That's perfectly normal, everyone is different and is faster at certain weights than others, the app will probably pick up on this and start suggesting heavier weights for future programs
  6. I couldn't get both apps to work simultaneously so used tour tempo for 20-30 minutes during my warm ups before starting stack, after that the beats were ingrained in my head. I found after working on 21-7 for winter in a simulator that I struggled to produce decent swings once the season started, after checking with my coach we agreed to continue speed work at 21-7 but revert to 24-8 when playing and block practicing, just gives me slightly more time to incorporate the new "feels" that are making the difference in my game. 21-7 with my increased speed felt really hard to sequence. Not suggesting this would work for everyone but has been a massive help to me
  7. 100% agree, the plateaus can be frustrating but you'll find on some nights when you're feeling great and expecting PB's the results aren't there, whilst on nights you may be feeling tired the speed suddenly jumps up . As always the key is consistency, if you can't fit in a session try at least to get a speed primer session in, only takes 7 minutes but stops progress stalling.
  8. Yep, had to get an entire new bag (had to ) went for a serious upgrade in Driver to new Ventus blue 6x shaft and it's so stable in comparison to old shafts. Had to upgrade irons as well as everything was spinning too much with increased speed
  9. The biggest change for me was incorporating Tour Tempo app. as someone who always tended to play “swing” instead of just letting it go, the better tempo really freed me up and then as I went through the programs the speed just kept going up and up
  10. Stock 7 iron has gone from 150 carry to 165 and have an extra gear now that never had before so can get it out to mid 170's if needed. On course driver has gone from 225 to 265 carry for "gamer" speed, can get it out to 275-285 if needed on particularly long holes or inviting par 5's. Been a complete game changer for me, will 100% be going again this winter for 2-3 more programs

I had almost ridiculous results in the first few months, went from 90 in the foundation program to 104 after my second program (full speed spectrum) Piked up over 50 yards in total distance with driver and am thoroughly enjoying golf this summer, finding it a lot easier hitting lob wedge in to greens instead of 6 irons! Peaked at 116 but struggling to find time to continue the training with such a busy playing schedule, will need to address this for next summer

I can vouch for its success, it clearly hasn’t been working for you but to say no one has benefited from using it comes across like extremely sour grapes. to deny extra speed isn’t a benefit is ludicrous. extra speed on top of swing issues could cause major problems, that seems obvious. you keep stating that your max swing doesn’t match you on course swing, which as I’ve already pointed out makes me question your understanding of speed training? your max swing is just a glimpse into how you COULD swing it on the course if you continue the training and your speed keeps increasing until your old max becomes your game swing. apologies if this comes across as a dig, it isn’t but you keep lashing out at a product because it hasn’t worked for you and your comments suggest you either don’t understand speed training or there’s swing issues. from memory when Sasho reviewed one of your swings and said you weren’t swinging with enough effort your reply was that your friends said you were swinging out your shoes, if you want to take your friends opinion over one of the worlds leading experts then speed training probably isn’t for you and just go play and have fun at this point
  13. Plan to start using it but struggling for time at the moment with a hectic tournament schedule. Been listening to the Chasing Scratch podcast (highly recommend, extremely funny) and they rate it very highly
  14. Have you had a pro look at your swing? Adding extra speed to sound mechanics would generally result in extra distance. extra speed with fundamental issues could definitely lead to worse golf. I say this as someone who spent 6 months this winter working with a pro to make sure my swing could function with the new speed I was starting to achieve with the stack

In Season Training Update Received a reply from Sasho regarding in season training, sent me a link to a video on the Stack website that delved into what you should try to do during a busy playing schedule. Really interesting video, far too much detail to explain here so recommend watching if like me you have concerns about how to maintain gains when you enter a busy playing period. It's in the App Support section of the website under "Questions that arise during training" "should I modify my stack training during the season I'm playing golf frequently" Main takeaway for me was to try and maintain 3 program sessions over 4 weeks (instead of the normal 3 per week) and use the speed primer sessions in between as this will maintain your grit score. Maximum of 5 days break between a program or priming session, lots of other options on timings but I think I'll try the 1 program session and 2 speed primer sessions a week for the next month or so as my tournament schedule starts next weekend and then it's flat out for the whole summer.
  16. Tried the speed primer before my club fitting session and worked a treat, was at full speed from first swing so it definitely worked for me

I’m kinda in the same boat, thinking about e-mailing Sasho regarding in season work as from next week I’ll finally be getting out on the course and then it’s 5 months of solid golf, I can’t see how I’d be able to squeeze in any programs apart from the speed primer and have concerns about how fast the gains will drop off, will report back on what get’s recommended

That’s completely normal, if you watch Sasho’s videos where he goes through the results of a normal program the numbers go up and down like a yo yo (vids are on the stack website) progress isn’t linear so you’ll see jumps sometimes on days you feel tired and small drops on days you are certain you’ll get pb’s. keep going and you’ll see the numbers go back to normal then jump ahead again in the next few weeks

Luckily enough not a back sprain but have definitely felt a few tweaks in various places, I consider it perfectly normal considering the force we are trying to generate by swinging at absolute max speeds. one thing that helped me was to film a set of max swings and it highlighted a few technical issues when trying to swing flat out that were obviously putting a lot of pressure on certain areas so I made a conscious effort to try and maintain slightly better mechanics to go with the brute force of max swings and actually started to see solid increases with less aches and pains. I did give myself a 3 week break halfway through my third program in a row because I felt my body needed to recover, if I started again I think I’d give myself more time between starting programs. hats off to anyone that’s doing this combining gym work as that was my intention at the start but I’ve found the stack workouts hard work on the body (nearing 50 years of age) so I put gym work on hold until next winter. best advice would be to listen to your body, yes we all want to be consistent and keep making gains but there’s no point injuring yourself and being unable to train for a month from pushing too hard
  22. Will differ for everyone I imagine, from my experience the key to seeing it transfer to your course swing is to make sure you hit at least 30-40 balls a week at absolute max speed. You’re trying to educate your brain and muscles to swing faster so hitting a ball flat out speeds up the progress, shots need to be absolutely flat out, no concern on strike or direction, as your max speed increases your course swing speed will start to creep up as well.
  23. I took 3 weeks off last month to let some niggles calm down and was back up to speed within 5 sessions (2 of return to form and 3 program sessions) so you won’t lose much.
  24. I think you may be misunderstanding the driver e-speed though. It’s telling you your “potential” max speed based on you swinging out of your shoes, that’s not a swing you’d ever use on the course, the whole point of the system is to show you what speeds you could swing at on the course if you continue the training and your gamer speed starts increasing upwards until you can game your current max. the numbers are accurate for one off long driving type swings but it would be incorrect to expect to see that on the course. hope that helps clarify the data

I have no personal connection whatsoever to any golf company let alone the Stack System, I was just pointing out its a well known fact that different radars (below the top tier or trackman etc) give different results, this is known fact so I personally didn’t see fault with the explanation, I’m sorry it didn’t fit your narrative but accusing me of being connected to the company for being happy with it is an interesting take? I can only speak for myself and my results, 7 iron has gone from 145 yard carry to 170, driver has gone up over 40 yards. no one is suggesting this or any product works for everyone but in my personal experience as an ex teaching professional there’s normally reasons behind everything if you look hard enough
