Looking to get a new set of irons. Starting to look at Callaway AI smoke fast irons!

My posting is not right but it is right. score. 92 course par 71 shot 21 over but handicap is 16 so net should be 76.

Played 9 today as a get ready— here’s hoping everything dries out by Monday. Started raining on 1 and the rain came down more than steady through 9 then I called it a day. My bag, my rain gloves and several towels along with my clubs are spread all thru my garage. I am ready!

Course wet, cart path only (11267 steps)whew! Struggled on par 5’s but did birdie 2 par 3’s. #2 playing about 102 to front pin hit ball short of green and it was held up by sprinkler head full of water- drop out of sprinkler head and then rolled in 20 ft putt. #6 playing uphill to middle pin at 109, 2 ft birdie putt. Last 4 holes played in wind gusting around 20 mph. Just another great golf day. At 81 they are all great golf days!

I purchased prescription sunglasses from REKS. Purchased the sports rim and the recommended tint, weight and, etc. The ball is easy to see, the surroundings are brighter and more detailed and my eyes are very relaxed. I do not putt with the glasses on but they are such I can easily put them in my pocket. Played two rounds with and I am very satisfied.

Bunker play was awful, in three bunkers, 3 to get out of one, 2 to get out of the other two.

It was cold but a few of us played. My biggest issue with golf in this weather is cold hands. I wear a medium glove so I purchased xxl fingerless mittens and crush a couple hand warmers inside each and I am able to slide my hands in and out with ease- keeps my hands warm.

Purchased a Callaway GBB 5 wood from Callaway preowned-still had the plastic wrapper on it— replaced 3 wood. Set it at 17 deg loft, draw bias and hit it pretty good. Just really hard to play when bundled up.

Fantastic week for golf in the Richmond, Va area. Ground crew cannot keep up with the leaves that are falling and Friday a big shift with much cooler weather and rain. Probably a 20 degree shift. Supposed to play in a veterans outing at Independence Golf Club, Midlothian, Va on Monday.
