Awesome review. I got fitted for my 0211's last Fall and absolutely love them. They have helped my game and my confidence on the course, especially with my long irons. I am pretty sure that they are now offering the PXG Hero discount to everyone right now, so if you are in the market for new irons check out the 0211's

I have been looking at the Big Max IQ+. It is $199.99 with free shipping from the company website. Just researching to make sure it will hold a stand bag before I pull the trigger.

I love the look of my SIM Max, love the performance when I hit it well - but am definitely finding it extremely left biased for me (with Ventus Blue Velocore).  Unfortunately the standard SIM may be too low spin for me and I don't love the look of the Mavrik or sound of the 410.  😞

Why can't there be a universal flex rating by all manufacturers so that a A-L-M-S-XS be the same with all? I'm sure some of it has to do with marketing, but to the consumer it would be of benefit and to the manufacturer. I might like a TT but willing to try a Fuji if the specs were closely identical.

CGERICKE22 reacted to PlaidJacket in Had fitting today - but confused about what to do. Help!
Personally I wouldn't walk.... I'd run from your local CC store. I've never had a fitting experience at CC and I've made comments before about my one and only "visit" to a CC in Austin Texas. I only went there to see a store and look around. Nice place. But here's what I learned. A "salesman" ehem... fitter came over and we talked a little bit about their process/approach. At one point during our discussion I picked up a driver head of some brand as asked what would this cost for example. The salesman plucked a shaft off the wall and said, "oh about $600-$700" I recall. Gulp. I then asked how much is the head and how much for the shaft he selected. He said the head was like $250 - $300 and the shaft $400. Hmmm? I then asked wouldn't it be possible for me to be properly fit into a great driver with a $200 shaft? The salesman replied, "absolutely!"
I don't know where you live JeffRamm but you might want to consider seeking out an independent fitter - builder for your new clubs. They're out there and some have way more years experience than most CC stores. These new club fitting boutiques sprang up after the advent of Launch Monitors IMO. There's a lot invested in these fancy stores where they sell the sizzle and you pay for all the show and fluff. My irons were custom fit and built by a guy that's been applying his trade for 30 years. He's a nationally recognized, accredited, award winning club fitter. He also uses a LM in conjunction with his vast experience. His fitting shop isn't fancy. It's functional, clean and appropriate for the task at hand. In other words it all business and no frills. Give your journey some thought and take your time before you make any commitments. You'll end up with great playing clubs and save a ton of cash over a CC type of boutique.

I just upgraded from my M5 to a Sim Max (courtesy of Dollar Driver) and so far I am loving it. I struggled with finding the best weight set up on my M5, but so far the no nonsense Sim Max is great. I also feel like it sounds better for whatever that is worth.

Anyone else spend two hours designing their Betti for the custom contest on the MGS Blog site? I had numerous supervisors stopped by my desk when I was deciding between putter necks and milling options. Productivity was at a low not seen since the 2019 Masters.
MGS's putter ho Dave Wolfe has a fantastic write-up about the customization for the Bettinardi line. My goodness you could spend days coming up with crazy designs.
If you haven't registered to win, do it now!
Being a lefty, I went with the QB6 in carbon steel in the texas tea finish.
If you need ideas, here's an archive of the Bettinardi Hive: https://bettinardi.com/collections/hive-archive
    Good Luck!

How long have you been playing golf? Started playing in high school with a few buddies from the baseball team. Played somewhat regularly through college but slowed way down afterwards. Started it taking it somewhat seriously this past year.
What’s your handicap or normal score? Currently a 14 with a goal if getting into the single digits someday!
What do you love about golf? I love being outdoors. Whether with friends or by myself it is so peaceful and therapeutic to play golf.
What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Listen to their podcast and wanted to check out the forum.  Do you already know any other Spies? I do not.
Where are you from? Grew up on the California Coast and have been in Oregon for 4 years. What is your home course? Forest Hills in Cornelius, OR.
What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? We have some amazing courses with unreal views. Worst would be the winter weather.

Golf saved my life, I was 357 lbs, had diabetes, diabetic retinopathy (which basically means I was going blind) diabetic neuropathy, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was taking weight loss classes at Kaiser at mr Dr’s suggestion. They asked us to draw a picture. A picture of us when we were young and healthy. I drew a stick figure of me riding a bicycle. She asked if I miss riding bicycle’s. I said no but I miss playing Golf. She said I should go play Golf, I said I can’t I can’t even walk 9 holes without getting exhausted. She said so walk 3 then work your way up to 6. Then 9 and eventually 18. Since then I’ve lost 140 pounds. I am off almost all of my Meds. Just had my eyes checked and they are good. Went from a size 56 waist to 36. Thanks Golf.

    Christian - 40 - Aloha, Oregon
Growing up near a golf course in Northern California, I always wanted to learn the game. Luckily my best friend in middle school had a father that was eager to teach. My buddies dad taught the game with a strong emphasis on etiquette.
I ended up playing on the high school golf team and then at my local community college. Around that time my older brother started to play a lot so we began regular golf trips to places like Vegas, Arizona, Southern California, and the greatest trip of all....St. Andrews.
Now I live in Oregon and do my best to play year round no matter the weather (today its a high of 40). I love the game, and love to tinker with my gear all the time.
Planning a trip to Bandon in the next few months, and Palm Springs next year.
Huge fan of My Golf Spy, & the No Putts podcast.
