  1. Hi! Is the v2 compatible with the BIGMAX Blade IP? Thx
  2. Yes, there is only a gapping issue between PW and 50*. I have the stock shaft in my CBX, which is already a bit lighter. But i agree, there can i find a few yards to close the gap. Do you or anyone played both, CBX and CBX2? it is worth the upgrade? I can`t try them out here aswell.
  3. Hi there, I´m searching for my new wedges in .2020 I play cbx in 50* and 54*, PM in 60*. Irons are the Apex pro. My go-to-wedge around the green, where i nedd different type of shots, is the Callaway PM 19 60*. It`s versatile, love the shape if i`m opening the face. But i thing i`ve never had hit one full shot with these... I never do this with a 60* wedge. 60*: I will renew this PM 60*! While i never would change my PM, i`m thinking about to replace the CBX`s. I`m using the 50* and 54* for full shots and partial shots, no open face, less chipping, and for a bit longer greenside bunker shots. So for that, the shape of the CBX is versatile enough, never had issues. The forgiveness level on these is good. I think i´m a not to bad ball striker, but in my mind a misshit from 100yards and in is the worst thing, that can happen. Hit from a bad lie a little bit out of the toe with a bladed wedge and land short in a bunker or water hazard... But i have a little gapping problem. My Apex Pro PW is carry 143 yards, my CBX 50* 120 yards... (130m vs 110m) So what can i do? Is another wedge better in this perspective? Bend my wedges? I have a look on CBX 2 and Glide 3.0. Are there other`s to look at? Gapping, forgivness? What can you guys say about CBX 2 vs Glide 3.0?
  4. Srixon XV all day long! best premium ball in the wind, spin on the green is one of the highest, off the tee one of the longest! after testing every premium Ball, i love the XV.
  5. Hi there, I hope nobody is angry, but for a 85 sites cross check my English is much to bad... Bought the sticks yesterday and have one question: SSG says: No full training before the round! If i go after a full training for a round, is my trainings improvement slower or will i loose the improvement from a sports science view ? If yes: how much break between training and a round is needed? I`m playing min. 5 times a week.... 3 times a week training... that`s a problem... Thx a lot guys...
  6. Hi there! Is somebody in this forum from europe? At golfdiscount in the U.S. a dozen XV`s cost 19,98 $, that`s 18,06 €. I`m from Germany and our chepest price online is 40€, that`s 44,05 $!!! So, can somebody tell me an onlineshop in europe, where i can buy XV`s cheaper than that? Would be great. **Sidenote: "Because my second Ball is the MTBX...: The same problem." THX!!
  7. Perhaps someone can help me.... Last November/December Srixon released the new Z Stars. Do they release very year or every second year new balls? thx
  8. Todaysgolfer (UK) has another great test. https://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/features/equipment-features/2019/september/robot-tested-which-golf-bal-suits-my-game/ They claiming: There is no reason for an soft ball. Only the feel. Soft is slow, but isn`t short. But soft spins not so much like an hard ball with wedges and irons. That`s also what i think about this. I always play softer balls, for their feel. I love the softer balls. After the MGS Test i try many harder balls - and stay with them. Feel can be "learned"! I love my harder balls...;-) Off the driver, there wasn`t so much in it. Sure a few yards this model or this. (soft or hard) But the bigger difference is with irons and wedges. IMO, if you want more spin and stable flight: You have to go with harder balls. My Ball Srixon XV.
  9. I think you should try the Zstar and, if you haven´t tried the new XV...Just do it. I´m absolutely with you. But the only way to get your Ball... buy various sleeves (XV, Zstar, Prov1/x, TP5/x, Bridgstones...) About feel: I thought, i will never use a firm balll.. After the MGS Test, i give them a long test, tried a lot of balls. And say you what: i will never go back to a softer ball. For me, i have better accuracy from irons to the putter... the feel is unusual, but after a few rounds i love it.
  10. No damages for 36 holes... great Ball, awesome in the wind... have a second love... The srixon xv is as Long as the mtbx. Spins a little bit more with the irons and around the green, mtbx is more stable in the wind... which is a great. love both
  11. In Germany.... my EXS with Accra Costs 730€ fitting included... but for me it works better than the other drivers.... so it wasn‘t the decision for a cheaper driver
  12. I was fitted in the EXS Driver 9,5, with an Accra Tour 362 ins stiff and 1 inch shorter. in this combination the exs is a spin Killer. like the sound and feel. played M1 2016 so far. very accurate as well - depends more on my swing
  13. I‘m still testing the XV against the MTBX...but... from round to round.... The XV will be the winner... Why? I play much more aggressive around the greens, all shots into the greens.... my confidence, that this Ball sit where he‘s landing is nearly 100%! Absolutly great! one of the best shots -under pressure (club championship last hole), 185m over a tree with the wind... 5 iron hop and stop within 1m... so much confidence....don‘t need the risk of a lop shot so often, If i miss a green. i buy more than a sleeve yesterday!! great work, great reviews
  14. Another 18 holes XV vs MTBX. Three differences i noticed. Driver/Putter/long irons : i can‘t tell any difference. 1. full wedges/short irons: More stopping power with the MTBX 2. half shots and chips: more Spin with the XV 3. MTBX is more stable in the wind. Best Ball in the wind i‘ve ever tested, XV near to it on Second place. DURABILITY: both are great! so...at the moment i really think, i play both balls. Depends on the course i play. This said, that‘s great to have this opportunity!! Edit: 4. XV has a slightly higher Ball flight...
  15. First 9 holes are completed, side by side with the MTBX. These Balls feel very similar to each other. Long with the Driver, good spin on Iron and approach shots. See no difference at all. Even with the Putter, really really nice! The only thing i noticed: the XV has a fraction more spin when it comes to chipping. Don‘t loose the Balls, both looks new as out of the box. more testing, one of these is my new gamer!
  16. Where is the MAILMAN??? Durability is a big thing, when it comes to value. I like the Cut blue, but almost every wedgeshot left heavy cuts in the urethan layer... That`s an awful value - 2,20 € per shot!
  17. Snell MTBX is mega durable. Really outstanding against other premium golf balls i`ve tested. My new Srixon XV will arrive today, in yellow and white, so i will see the differences the next few days. Hope they are similar to the mtbx, with a fraction more spin on chip shots. In Germany, there is no difference in price point between these two. NEW Staff is always amazing to test!!! (yesterday i got new fitted EXS Driver with an ACCRA Schaft)
  18. That‘s right! So i don‘t test them. I will do the Epsom test on the mtbx. Hope there will be constant similar results to wedgie‘s test. Would be great! also get XV‘s the next few days. I will do the salt test and play it against the mtbx.
  19. Hi, do you have a link, what to do in the test? i will do it with the mtbx!
  20. https://pearlgolf.com/ It`s a bavarian brand. https://seedgolf.com/balls It`s an irish brand. I also want tot try the Zstar and the XV. I read about au buy 1 get 1 free offer somewhere... When is/was this offer? Like Titleist every year? Only US? Like Titleist everywhere? I really want to try both balls, think the XV could really suit my game. And with an offer like that... The balls cost nearly the same than my current gamer. I really like the idea to play a top performance ball, without paying the name. (to be honest, not only in golf balls: same performance, better price? why not) Srixon`s quality Control seems to be very well, right??? I think, so far, Mr. Snell develop the Snells, not only brand the ball with SNELL. Who do anything knows about their QC?
  21. Do you play the Black or the Mtb-X. I´m playing the Mtb-X at the moment. Great ball so far. Performance, durability, price... What are the differences in your opinion? Perhaps i give the Srixon in the after season a try...
  22. Hi there, I´m a new member. Early this year i started to try some cheaper premium balls. I want to know, if i can save some money without sacrifice performance. I don´t think, that this: "They have outsourced manufacturing with little QC. One thing is certain in life in my subjective opinion. Good things aren't cheap. Its simple cost, revenue, supply, demand." This is crap, sorry. Sppecially without testing... I came from Germany. Do you know VW, Audi, Skoda? All different price points, same engine! Often you pay for the name. Perhaps Titleist can sell their balls for 30$, but why they should do this? With all that staff, comes along the MGS Ball test and the last Putts given episode.... i think the main thing is really, how can a brand garantuee their quality? How do the companies that? If i buy a ball, it should be me, who`s driving in the water and not the ball. Thats really awful in mind! So for me, QC is really the most important thing. What do we know? Do snell QC? I really really hope so! I played: CUT - Performance was not bad, but durability is absolutly ridiculous... Each hit with a shorter iron and there are deep deep scuffs.... Vice: Like the Pro Plus more than the Pro. Good Balls. But all around performance is in each section not as good as V1 / V1x. Snell MTB X: Better than the black for me. Durability is absolutly great! Distance and spin is that, what is see from V1x. My current gamer Pearlgolf: Pure Pro and Pure Pro x are good Balls, very very similar to vice.... Like the X more. Seed: The 01 an 02 are fantastic Balls. 01 is V1 similar, 02 is similar to the V1x. I like everything about these two balls. After season i will test these against the Mtb X. Do anyone know this brand? QC? So long, my first comment. Sorry, if my english is bad.. I try hard
