  1. Taylor, I do enjoy your enthusiasm! But as a self discovered liar and a notorious shiny thing sucker, I proclaimmed my bag safe one day, and then 7 days later I've changed out Irons. Now, this could just be that I know nothing, am a sucker for new and shiny things and was talking out my end pipe, but I always enjoy allowing some wiggle room. However, the percentages were a nice touch! Gotta remember to use them next year myself. Might keep me from saying everything's safe. Great bag though btw. Hit them straight this year!
  2. Welp, that took exactly 7 days to prove me a liar! So, with that, the irons have changed. This year and moving forward I will be playing the Titleist T-150 irons 4-pw with the SteelFiber 110 CW S shafts. In addition, I've taken the GW and moved that to a Vokey SM9 rusty. I don't even know why I even say I'm staying with things only to be swayed when I go out innocently to play at the local stores and or sims with friends. LOL
  3. Oh, no... The QB8 is JUUUUUSSSSTTT fine... More of a collector piece. But it does make an appearance quite often. Kind of a go too when I feel like my Feels are off.... Listen, man.... I'm in recovery! What can I say!
  4. I mean, come on bro... I wouldn't class it as Predictable... But I reckon we can probably say the "tinkerer" label probably fits best... Or something like that.
  5. 2024 will definitely be a first for me. NOT because I have big plans to change anything, but mostly by virtue that I probably wont be changing anything. Callaway Triple Diamond - SAFE.... Hands down the best I've hit in a LONG time. Titleist TSi2 3-wood - Absolutely reliable SAFE Titleist TSi2 3-Hybrid / Mizuno Fli Hi 2 iron - Both SAFE and used in different conditions Titleist U505 4-iron - SAFE CHEAT STICK really Mizuno Pro 225 Black Out Edition - 5-GW (4 iron too but not used much) SAFE Vokey SM9 54-58 - SAFE until I feel like I need some fresh wedges Scotty Cameron Super Select 5 Flowback - Custom Shop done in Copper and Black - SAFE Balls - Srixon XV / Titleist ProV1x - Already shifting towards Srixon because economically and performance they get the job done well So, that's it! I don't see anything changing in that bag anytime soon. Each has gotten me to shooting far more consistent scores and actually allowing me to do all of the different types of shots I like. But there's another Spy here that as always has a way of twisting my arm and acting like a Narcotic pusher... I won't name any names, but you know who you are!
  6. I mean, I may know a guy that knows a guy to help with all those moving parts!! Oh, wait a second... Triple D is here to stay, honestly. I haven't seen one product coming out that will be any better than that thing is. Betti, well you can't go wrong staying with it or moving on to a new Scotty. Either or, would be a winning combo. As for irons, Mizuno would definitely be one I'd push but do yourself a favor and try out those new Titleist irons. Everyone raves about the Srixon's and the new Apex irons, but even as a guy playing some Mizuno's now to make golf easier, I still feel like Titleist new line has really knocked it out of the park. In any event, yes we ALL do know you... You'll be shifting to something new REAL soon.
  7. Thanks Brotha! 50 trips around the sun! Nothing but love too my fellow spys.
  8. Unfavorable take, for some it seems.... (Not here but in general) LIV golf is a joke. All these claims of changing the game. Golf is golf. 18, 36, 54, 72 holes it doesn't really matter. You're playing the game of golf. THE ONLY thing LIV is changing is putting on full display that the almighty dollar speaks volumes to a bunch of overpriced privileged men who think they are worth so much money for playing a game. While the PGAT has gone up in values for purse money, something I'm not a huge fan of either but the times are a changing, they have stayed core to their values (For the most part) that you earn your way. I'm not touching on the PIP money or whatever they've been handing Tiger Woods for years that he hasn't earned by his play... A story for another time. However, they have stayed core to the value that every player has a chance to earn their paydays and handsomely at that. Now we've come upon a time when the Saudi backed sports (washing) tour says, "Hey, we'll hand out millions like they're wooden nickels and I bet we can get these clowns to take it..." Subsequently, you've seen all the "Greats" go there, not all but a lot, and a year later they are rubbish compared to their old form. Why? Because if I'm already paid, why would I work any harder for anything else.... Yea, I sound like the old man yelling at kids to get off my lawn, but I beg of you to look at this from the perspective that save a few minor flaws in the PGAT, leadership being a huge one, the game was perfect. It was what has been played since the beginning. Yea yea, we can go back to ole Tom Morris and people could make those arguments, fine... I hear you. But since it's inception the PGAT has operated as a conglomerate of events that ended up with a season. The players were gauged on how they performed by the money they collected partly, but MOSTLY by the tournaments they won. They didn't run around playing for the money. There wasn't any back in the day. They played for the sport of things. The fun. They didn't do it for the money. And in our world, as expensive as it is these days - something none of them are suffering by either by the way, MONEY has proved to ruin all things. So my take, the LIV as far as I'm concerned should be put in a box and sunk into the pacific. Combining and forming a new union is the best thing that can happy so they can have their little parties on the course and stupid team names for the silly season. Sort of like it used to be. That's it. This wasn't a take on any post in the forum. I've enjoyed reading them all. These are simply my general feelings without writing a book out there, on the subject of this LIV nonsense. Have a great evening everyone! And throw a rock at Greg Norman if you should see him!
  9. That's awesome! I live in Dauphin county. There seems to be quite a few Middletowns here in PA. Now, if we can only get both to be a bit warmer to golf in, that would be a win. Though, we're sick enough that we still go out no matter the temp like a bunch of eskimos. Yea, I tried the Steel Fibers about a year year and a half ago. Not sure I could go back. Great shafts that provide you the steel feel, great spin numbers, launch angles that are consistent and ultimately let you play any shot you want unlike the older graphites we used to be afforded. I've had some elbow issues and this has eliminated that in full!! Awesome you did that. Makes sense your a big fan then. I sing their praises to everyone.
  10. I would definitely try the Steel Fiber. I've had the 110 CW shafts in mine and couldn't speak more highly of them!
  11. Had one of these a while back.. Loved the feel! Real beauty! Please share your pictures when it's refinished.
  12. That actually is a great way to improve. It makes you play a game you wouldn't normally be able to do from the tees you typically play from. This ends up improving your abilities with other clubs. I definitely did that a lot when I was younger and a terrible golfer, not that I'm much better some days now! I also like to play the game of two balls worst shot and best shot. I typically do a 9 with one and the other 9 the opposite. Definitely makes you focus during your practice rounds on using differ shots, different clubs, etc. Going out and just getting it around does too, but I don't find that it keeps my attention that much sometimes. It also makes it a fun challenge for you to make either or type of play relatively simple. I mean if you hit two shots identical practically to each other during worst ball, you SHOULDN'T be in a bad position. Though, admittedly, that isn't always the case either cause I can find some raunchy places on the course in either format with BOTH balls! That's great though! Definitely would keep challenging your self like that. Your Handicap will drop very quickly if you do when you do play those weekend matches out on the course from the normal tees. Cheers!

The first 18 was a decent round, with the third 9 being a little tired in my shots and frustrated with missing some easy shots with short clubs. The second nine being a part 36 I ended up shooting a 38 that should have been easily a 34. smh Regardless, swings starting to round out better with some of the changes that were made. Well, with everything but the damn Driver!!!

  20. Just in under the radar, as I don't think we will have much of a chance to play in the NE this week remaining with all the rain and heavy storms in the forecast. Just 37 minutes before the clouds went absolutely insane I posted the following score: Sunset Golf Course - Course Handicap 1 Hole 1 - Par 4 - 3 Hole 2 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 3 - Par 3 - 4 Hole 4 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 5 - Par 3 - 4 Hole 6 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 7 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 8 - Par 3 - 3 Hole 9 - Par 4 - 4 Front Nine Score: - 2 Hole 10 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 11 - Par 3 - 4 Hole 12 - Par 4 - 5 Hole 13 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 14 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 15 - Par 3 - 3 Hole 16 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 17 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 18 - Par 4 - 5 Back Nine Score: +2 Total score: Even Par 71 Thanks for all the hard work getting these things entered and or running this event. Definitely a fun idea to run here on MGS that we definitely need to continue. Cheers!
  21. Makes all the more sense given the distances. It's a unique game. What works is simply what works and that's all that matters.
  22. I'm pretty boring. So I play the following: T-100s - PW 44 T-100s - AW 48 Vokey SM8 - 54 Vokey SM9 - 58 Fairly stock lofts etc. Though I am one degree bent upward on my irons. (Little steep on swing plane) I have thought about bending the 54 and 58 one degree strong to get the lofts and gaps more in line, but it works for me fairly well as is. So I don't think I'll be doing that just yet.
  23. Intriguing change to the PW and AW bud... But makes sense overall with the SM9 lofts. I like it. I'm in stock PW and AW for the T100's lofts. Did you have to look at every club above the PW though? The 42 I'd reckon might cause some gapping issues, no?
  24. Score to be added for the match play even from today from our Stroke Play comp this morning: Sunset Golf Course - Course Handicap 1 Hole 1 - Par 4 - 3 Hole 2 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 3 - Par 3 - 3 Hole 4 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 5 - Par 3 - 4 Hole 6 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 7 - Par 5 - 3 Hole 8 - Par 3 - 2 Hole 9 - Par 4 - 4 Front Nine Score: - 5 Hole 10 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 11 - Par 3 - 3 Hole 12 - Par 4 - 5 Hole 13 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 14 - Par 4 - 5 Hole 15 - Par 3 - 2 Hole 16 - Par 5 - 4 Hole 17 - Par 4 - 4 Hole 18 - Par 4 - 5 Back Nine Score: Even Total Score 66 -5 This is my first time posting a score. So if I posted to the wrong thread or area, please feel free to let me know / direct me to where I need to add them for future rounds I would need to post. Thanks everyone! Hittem straight!!!!
