  1. Morning all. Got fogged out again so hit the range. Did lots with my daughter yesterday and preschool pumpkin patch fundraiser today. Have a great day all!
  2. They will. People were doing that deal plus a $20 text sign up and getting 4doz for $100 last year
  3. BTW, I love these threads. Thank for starting. My offseason plans are as follows: Full swing technique work. My coach has me working on my sequencing. To get things to click, planning on lots of slow deliberate moves with foam balls most the off-season until they click. Some NTC feels in there speed work. Going at it differently this go around. Focusing more on my swing technique, pausing at points and then trying to swing fast after the pause point. Short game. I am going to try to get to the putting green at a course once a week to keep short game in check and help my putting work. Going to use the rain drop aid to make sure my start line is good along with speed. gym work. Continuing fit for golf. Going to do the off-season work outs (last year did both that and winter strength). Wanting to keep my stabilizers in good shape, hence skipping winter strength. mental game. Lots of daily meditation. Almost done with Breathe Golf. Highly recommend it. Hopefully leads to even less swing thoughts and more playing golf on the course. golf play. Can play year round here. May try to get one-two nines a month to try and stay sharp.
  4. I have both strike and accuracy plans and go back and forth on ideas to mix into my practice sessions after technical work. I really like it. Try to catch some of his discount codes to make it more worth while
  5. I wish I had… started lessons sooner it’s so much harder to ingrain feelings when you have a kiddo. Just want more time. an actual driver fitting. 5 years ago I went to a guy and he told me I needed a low spin head (now I know it was due to swing faults). He told me to get an EF SZ from eBay. I got the head. He let me try some shafts and put me in a demo fujikura shaft. I always wondered why and it’s why I now tinker more. Somewhere down the line this will happen. Hopefully drivers aren’t $1,000 by then.
  6. Got fogged out and the clubhouse was gonna make me wait until 756 to go off anyways. Said I couldn’t go off the back even though others were. Whatever. update: talked to the pro inside after my practice he said you always can go off the back for nine if there at dawn. Will try tomorrow Anyways. Got out the raindrop for putting. Started really hitting some good putts and hitting my lines. My new posture where I grip way down also helps. Balls I missed were tap ins. then some pitching practice. Started great. Halfway in then I started hoseling everything (like 30 out of 35). Instead of getting frustrated I found my breath. Did some shorter shots and then all was good. Also hot ten balls with sw and lw each out of the bunker and just get out. I was 9/10 on both. Then I finished with a game of trying to get in on 4 different greens from either fairway or rough with my sw and varying distances. Worked out well and now I am more confident in my pitching game than I was two days ago.
  7. so what I want the testers to see. I just took my red rooster rain gloves out (I purchased after hearing great things). I noticed some of the red roosters on the palm of my trail hand started rubbing off after the first round. Is that normal? Curious if the testers see this.
  8. congrats and good luck on your last 18 of the year. As a newly minted sub 20 cap it is such a relief to get there. You got this! One tip of playing a new course. Go through google earth on it and plan your drives out and check for hidden trouble. Take notes and bring them with you to the course. Then just play smart target golf and have fun and enjoy the new course!
  9. After a thinned drive I never would have thought I’d par this hole. A wonderful 4w set me up for a nice pitch and just low sided my birdie putt (15’) to 1’ tap in.
  10. Played a morning nine at my secondary course. Greens are slower here and most of the breaks aren't so bad. Had a better putting day, although did miss a 3' because I rushed it. Took a swing feel to the course with a more arms first takeaway to the top (similar to NTC) as per instruction from my coach. Hit my drives mostly straight (had two hooks, one straight that I thinned). The par 5 i parred was the thinned drive that went about 208. Hit a beauty of a 4w to 80 yards and was able to pitch on to 8'. That was my best wedge shot of the day. The reason my approach SG is so poor is due to my wedges struggling from 60-110 yards out. Also had a penalty on 9 when I tried to go for it out of the rough with a7w. Lesson learned to just lay up at that point. A great cool round. Saw plenty of wildlife. The recent rains have also gotten this course into wonderful shape.
  11. Had a range session today (first time I have been to an actual range in several weeks). Worked on new swing feels and videoed for a lesson. 6 irons were really good. Hitting these high tight draws to about 185-190. Still some work to do with my lead shoulder but it is coming along. One thing I really tried to focus on with my swing work is feeling my breath by my belly button. Helped me stay relaxed and I was able to swing easier. Driver was a little messy but still decent. See the attached driver shot tracer . Face strike not great Went to the putting green also and videoed there. Mainly came to work on posture. Realized I was most comfortable gripping all the way down. It was strange. Also noticed, even though I set up a tee gate, that I was still aligned to the right edge of the gate and not central. I ordered a rain drop from perfect practice to help with my start line and help my eyes visualize better.
  12. Good morning all Had a 7 mile hike with my wife yesterday with no kiddo. Not as sore as I thought. I’d be. Golf season ending down. My preferred course is aerating this week so not good there for at least two weeks. Likely now stuck in one nine a week due to that and the sun coming up later. Had a great meditation this morning.
  13. Got a putting lesson from my coach. My setup was too squaty so worked on that today. Stroke felt more fluid after. Also ordered a rain drop to teach my eyes how to read start line better. yesterday today Also my usual swing work in the park today. Finally the last few days I start my day with a 15 minute meditation just focusing on breath and my navel. It is recommended from Breathe Golf. I have also tried that breathing technique before shots (20s or so) and have had much better results and a clearer mind.
  14. Had a hole I was 205 out on yesterday and pulled the DI to try and run it up. Forgot from turf this club tends to leak right so my aim was off (didn’t wanna hook it into the driving range. Still , hit a beauty that was “pin high”. I am actually thankful it clipped some branches as it might have rolled to the clubhouse.
  15. Had something really brewing today. Started with a double as I was timid teeing off with how dark it was. Next four holes were par, bogey, birdie, par. Then on 15 I hit a pure driver (felt like it) but could not find it anywhere. Took a two stroke penalty. Then on 16 I saw there was someone behind me so I rushed, punched out then hit my approach into the water and quad’d that hole. Finished bogey bogey (could have easily been par, par as I slightly pushed two 6’ putts).
  16. Hole 13 today. Guarded by bunkers in the front with a somewhat oddly shaped green. Hit a beautiful nine iron draw to 7’ and made the birdie.
  17. Date 10/07/2023 Course Name Forest hilled Gross Score 92 Course Handicap 21 Gross Strokes over/under par 20 Net Score to Par -1 Net Score 71 Net Birdies or better 6 Longest Drive 292 MyGolfSpy Virtual Tour Match Play Iron game really coming along. Tale of two nines putting wise. Driver was hit and miss. Gotta love sunrise tounds
  18. Good morning all. Gonna head out for a sunrise nine soon. Hoping for some stellar Mountain View’s. Then a daddy/daughter day today featuring a music class, IHOP stop and a preschool picnic. Hope all have a good day today!
  19. ditto for me as well. Two 9 hole rounds get me my weekly 18.
  20. Had some weights from Billy bobs delivered today for my Driver (adding 4g to toe in hopes to try and tame my hook, move CG slightly and help with feel), 4w (adding 4g to try to get feel better) and UW (adding 6g to try and get better feel). Coming soon will be some Rooster Rain gloves (Thanks @GolfSpy_APH for the sales pitch) and a range rooster that I need to replace as speed training and range work finally wore a hole into it.
  21. If you saw my How'd you play post from today, you likely know what I worked on today. During the Forum call worked on my putting on my thick rug just working on start line and straight putts. Went really well and I know that likely isn't the issue with my putting woes. My coach wants me to send some video so hopefully I can take some before my Saturday round
