  1. So I had the screw holding the weight on my G425 Max break this past summer in the middle of a round. I couldn’t hit that driver without the weight attached to save my life.
  2. I’m curious, now that you’ve had the SPG-8 for a few months now, is it durable and holding up well? Was it worth the high price? I’m looking to pull the trigger on a new net soon and it’s my front runner.
  3. Nope and nope for me, but I’m not the fashion police, so if someone else does, who am I to judge?
  4. Does anyone know if Arccos ever implemented the ball analytics? I’ve been putting in which ball I’ve been playing before each round religiously all season.
  5. This year I decided to take the plunge and use ProV1’s exclusively on my Thursday league. On Tuesday’s, I’m in a scramble league with my wife, and I’ve been using the Maxfli Straightfli balls. Yes, it’s one end of the spectrum to the other. My experiment was to discover how much the ball really matters for a high handicap player like myself. My observations from throughout the season are that on many shots, there is not a noticeable difference, but on some, there is a big difference. The Straightfli’s are great for the price, but the ProV1 stops within a step or two of the pitch mark. The Straightfli will often be ten paces or more past my ball marks. Next year, I want to try the Maxfli Tour balls. There seems to be a lot of love for them here!
  6. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to have two different profiles with Arccos? Specifically, my normal data on one, and a separate one that would represent my scramble team with my wife.
  7. Well it looks good on her!
  8. I use my Apple Watch 6 for shot detection and leave my phone in my bag. Works great and I’ve never had battery issues. I can add putts or mark them as chips, mark the pin location, and see gps distances all from my watch. No way I would trade that for a Link.
  9. Those are some nice looking iron covers. Now that you 56 is off double secret probation, maybe it can earn one too!
  10. Does anyone know of a third party seller for the smartgrips? They always seem to be out of stock on the Arccos site.
  11. Here’s a pretty good video that explains it.
  12. So I’ll start by saying I’m not a tax professional and you should consult a qualified person before submitting your tax returns. I’m not advising you on your taxes. With that said, a 1099k doesn’t mean the amount is taxable. In the scenario where you sold your old clubs for more than $600 and get a 1099k, you would fill out a schedule C to report income or loss for your “business.” If you bought the clubs for $800 and sell for $600, you would show a loss, therefore not pay taxes on the $600. On the flip side, if those $800 clubs now sell for $1000, you’d owe tax on the $200 profit. 1099k’s are nothing new.
  13. I’m gonna circle back to the original post for a second. Why should you get new irons? Because you deserve them and they’ll make you happy. The benefits are you’ll get more distance, forgiveness, and a more fulfilling life. Mic drop….
  14. No gold plated Franklin mint replicas. Tiger’s Scotty plz.
  15. I think you’re right. It’s funny, there are two courses near my house on Home Tee Hero that closed down years ago.
  16. Yes, I’ve noticed the same thing on my home course. It’s missing a couple water hazards on one hole and another has a tree in what is really a shadow on google maps. I’ve reported it to garmin as well, but nothing has been updated yet.
  17. I like seeing what people have. If you rotate some clubs, or carry more than 14, it’s no skin off my nose. Cheers!
  18. I was at the MSU-UM game today and it was crazy! You’re right about rivalry games. Especially this one. Go green!
  19. I’m sure it may be possible for a hack to work, but I’ll still laugh at the people who post that they need help because they bricked their brand new $3000 launch monitor.
  20. That looks like a more affordable option than the Superspeed system. Good luck. I’d be interested in hearing about your progress and what you think of the product.
  21. That’s an old driver. My vote is for you to just go get fitted for a brand new driver. You don’t just need it, you deserve it! Good luck!
  22. When I got fitted in the spring, I started my iron set at a 6 iron. My 5 is a hybrid now. For wedges, I have the set PW. I have Cleveland CBX2 52 and 58 degree wedges for my GW and SW. I’ve wondered about adding a forth wedge between my PW and the 52 as the set PW is 43 degrees, but in the end, I carry my PW 115 yards and my 52 103 yards. Personally, I think the iron numbers should be replaced with lofts only, but it will never happen because too many people have egos.
  23. What kind of package did you get and what was the cost?
  24. Birthday party balloons must drive you crazy!
