  1. My Favorites are: - Be better golf: very interesting to hear so many different teachers ideas on the swing - TXG: best for equipment information - Peter Finch: loves his accent haha - Martin Chuck: one of my favorite for information on the swing. He explains things so well. He also has one of the prettiest swings on the planet. - Steve Johnston PGA - has some investing ideas
  2. Technical answer: If your ball flight is starting left and then staying straight that means your Club face is square to your path. To have a playable ball you can technically do two things. change your path or change your face. Face is usually the easiest to change. If your path is going left you want to make your face open to that path (pointing more right). This will give you a fade ball flight. You can do this at setup with grip adjustment or driver adjustability. You can also make it more of a dynamic change by changing your wrist conditions at the top of the swing or impact. Easy fix: Go to the driving range with your driver. Get a bucket of balls and do a little experiment. Hit your normal straight pull, then take the same swing and try to make the ball start farther right. Keep trying till the ball starts more right and has a slight or major fade to it. Once you have that do the opposite. Do your normal swing but try to get the ball to start more left causing it to start left and draw farther left. Then go back and forth between the two. This is teaching you how to control that face compared to your path naturally. By the end of the session you should have a lot better understanding of controlling ball flight. With that understanding you will be able to take it to the course. If you hit a pull you'll know on the next tee shot the feeling of having that face more open.
  3. I have tried so many things to improve my golf game. I have had lessons, golf schools, training aids, equipment, youtube bingers, you name it I have done it. With Hindsight being 20/20 I would say 3 things really transformed my learning and performance. 1. The Practice Manual by Adam Young. You can find it on Amazon. Its a bigger book but I promise if you read it you will have such a better understanding on how to improve and be the most efficient with your time. After I implemented some of the ideas in that book I was able to actually see improvement from my practice sessions. 2. 1 Lesson from a good professional that you can relate with. Make sure it is a good professional. It may be more expensive but trust me. In that 1 lesson go in with he mind set that you want him to give you 1 to 3 things he sees fundamentally wrong with your swing. Make sure you have the Pro write them and drills down before you leave. 3. Now buy a feedback device (training aid). Do not just buy the latest and greatest aid, make sure it directly relates to your fault. The golf swing happens way to fast to know if you are doing something right or wrong. What ever your pro said is wrong with your swing, get a training aid that will give you feed back on that one item. For example: fault- bad wrist condition. training aid- tour striker educator or watson hanger. That way you have feed back to fix the fundamentals that the pro asked you to work on. Doing those three things will melt strokes off your game for a very reasonable price. You will have the knowledge on how to practice, know what is really wrong with your game, and lastly have feedback to directly fix the issue.
  4. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? - I am a first generation Golfer. I have been playing just over 5 years. I tend to shoot around 77-83. 2. What do you love about golf? - I love the rare mix of technicality, grace, art, mental toughness, and athleticism. It is hard to find a sport that demands a little bit of everything from a person 3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? - Product knowledge, passion for performance, no BS marketing, and a place with like minded golf junkies. 4. Where are you from? What is your home course? - I am from a small town in the Arkansas River Valley, Ozark. My home course is Ozark Country Club. 5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? - Best: Flexability. Most courses are very affordable and you do not need to worry about tee times. You never have to wait on that slow foursome. You can play multiple balls and play the music as loud as you want. - Worst: Conditions. There is nothing better than losing a golf ball in the middle of the fairway and putting on a plinko board. 6. What do you do for a living? - I am a Financial Advisor. 7. How’d you pick your user name? - It was given to me due to having poor handwriting and being a bad speller in grade school. We had an assignment to write a letter to our older self and the teacher kept it till our first day of high school. I wrote what looked like dear turpp instead of Tripp... Friends found out and never let me forget it. its my handle for all my social media.
