Faultless golf balls, out of Ashland, Oh. I believe they paid Lee Trevino to play them for a while. Classic one piece ball from the sixties. In regards to Northwestern, it was said that other companies sold clubs by the set, Northwestern sold them by the truck load.

Which Club In Your Bag Do You Rarely Use?
firedad replied to KC Golf's topic in General Equipment Talk
I have a four iron, I basically use it on for punching out of the trees. -
I am not a current Costco member, any idea on price.

I am seriously considering a Scotty putter for the upcoming year. I am drawn to the Flowback, mostly because of the look and face weighting. I would love to hear from anyone using one for feedback and recommendations. Thanks

New Mizuno JPX-923 Hot Metal High Launch Iron Set
firedad replied to 57charlie's topic in Golf Clubs
They are indeed beauties. My Hot Metal regulars just arrived a few days ago. When I went for a fitting, I was sure that I wanted the high launch. However, after hitting the recoil shafts the standard irons gave me better numbers. Going from a 95 gram regular steel shaft, to a 60 gram senior graphite seemed to make the biggest impact for me. They are sweet. -
Will do, pick them up at the shop tomorrow

Just received my Hot Metal 923s. One week delivery. A little surprised, but thrilled.

I had a couple of seasons affair with PXG irons, including the original Gunboat putter. Never fell in love with the irons, but, loved and kept the putter. Added a One And Done this year, and like it as well. I believe they are as good as anything on the market, at least in their price range. Anyone else sold on their putters?

Which manufacturer made the "Monitor" series of irons?
firedad replied to rhodes_hill's topic in Golf Clubs
I believe they were manufactured in the late 60s/ early 70s by Spalding -
Bought the E721's in the fall, love them. I can understand the size tweeks in the C's, not sure about the difference in the E's.

Tour Edge Hot Launch Drivers and Fairway Woods
firedad replied to BostonSal's topic in General Equipment Talk
Tour Edge seems to get very little forum coverage anywhere. Their quality is as good as it gets, only company with a lifetime guarantee. I own the new E721s and love them. I am guessing since their main presence is on the senior tour they may be overlooked. I am 68, so I guess I resemble my remarks.
