@DaveP043 Question I have about interpretation of 22.6 and 23.8: In summary, are the new rules: You can't stand behind your partner to get an indication of putting line. You can stand beyond the hole to watch your partner putt. If it's your opponent, there are no restrictions to where you stand. There would be etiquette issues with standing too close behind them. Would this summary be accurate or am I missing something?

2022 MGS Forum Member/Thread Awards
Blueberry_Squishie replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Staff Announcements
Could there be an award for the non-spam thread that generated the least engagement. If so, I'd nominate my question about standing behind other players' lines. For their engagement as well as clear and concise responses in rules-based threads, I'd nominate @DaveP043 -
Date 12/04/2022 Course Name Werribee Park Golf Club Gross Score 76 Course Handicap 6 Gross Strokes over/under par 4 Net Score to Par -2 Net Score 70 Net Birdies or better 7 Longest Drive 323 After today, my course handicap will have gone down 3 strokes in about 2 months. Things are looking great with my game. Hit 14 greens in this round. With the longest drive, there is a par 5 where there is a large downslope about 280 yards from the tee. I got some assistance from that.

Unofficial PuttOUT Devil Ball Reviews

Does it come with a little disc thing that helps you stand it up accurately? I haven't handled one but I imagine it could go off line immediately if it wasn't position (no matter how square you strike it). -

Update. Snuck in a peek at some practice and Genevieve Ling was in the group immediately behind Cameron Smith. Easy to follow both. -

On topic with this. For the first time, both the Women's and Men's Australian Open is being played on the same courses at the same times, for the same prizemoney. I'm thinking when I'll head down and watch. It sounds great being able to watch Gabi Ruffels for a few holes, then changing and watching Cam Smith for a few, then see what Genevieve Ling is up to. -
Wanting to ask about the upcoming changes to these rules. I know a few on here have done rules update courses so will be helpful to provide clarification. In summary, are the new rules: You can't stand behind your partner to get an indication of putting line. You can stand beyond the hole to watch your partner putt. If it's your opponent, there are no restrictions to where you stand. There would be etiquette issues with standing too close behind them. Would this summary be accurate or are there other rules that change what I've written above?

When I was a teenager, I played Dynamic Golds because that's what good players used (and playing around scratch, I was good). In my late 20s when I'd taken the game back up, I went for my first proper club fitting and the difference was amazing. I ended up in Dynamic gold SLs and I couldn't believe how much difference the mass of a shaft would matter. I'm not the strongest of guys so I have to be careful of mass so I don't have to put in huge effort to swing the club. About 2 years ago I got fitted for my current irons. The fitter used the Mizuno Shaft Optimiser to narrow down shaft choice initially. I can't remember the specific shaft I tried first (I think it might have been in the Modus range), and it was counterbalanced. HATED IT! Hit two shots with it and handed it straight back to the fitter because it had the oddest feeling like you were swinging a club with no head. Luckily I loved the next recommendation of the $-Taper. It's a bit odd that I hated the counterbalanced shaft in the irons but love the Hazrdus yellow in my driver.
