My first goal is to double my rounds from this year!  My second goal is to get back to practicing my short game at least 20 minutes before every round and hit at least a small bucket before each round.
    Play goals:
I want to take the extra club and keep every swing smooth.
I want to play shots aggressively to conservative spots.
I want to think each shot before I hit it.  (considering the angles and yardages I want to leave myself for the next shot)
I want to play fast and yet never rush a shot.
I want to get back to being a scratch golfer.

@ChitownM2 is correct. It is a 1:1 relationship.   Bend the club weaker and it drops the trailing edge lower which increases static bounce.   Your swing can change the delivered loft; so unless you deliver the club with a vertical shaft delivered loft will be different than static loft.  James Ridyard has a good YouTube video that explains this.

That would be even better in my mind.  I was told the opposite.  I just know that the 54 works great for me and I just took advantage of the Veterans day discount to order the MG4 Tiger grind 56* bent to 58* a bout 20 minutes ago.  I would love more bounce around the greens on Bermuda grass for into the grain, I really struggle in those situations.

It would depend on the way I was hitting my driver that round.  If I am driving it well I would play an intentional pull and hit to the far left side of the far fairway, if it has been a less skilled driving day I would play a 3 fairway with a draw and hit it near the end of the right hand fairway.  First option would leave me a wedge to the green in attack mode.  The second would leave me a mid iron to the middle of the green.  Option one could give me a makeable  birdie try.  Option two leaves me putting into a 3 foot bucket and an easy par.
If my score is good I take option 1 most often option two would be to protect my card from extra strokes.
I attack on the most scorable holes and keep the card safe on the high risk reward holes.

I think the gains in driver tech have hit the peak with the cor rules.  I believe that the biggest gains left will come from maximizing driver shaft performance.  When I got fit for my TSR 3 I loved the way if felt.  The fitter didn't make any effort to fit me to a better shaft he just showed me the other brands.  I really liked the results of the TSR 3, it had the best dispersion and was surely the most forgiving.  I have played a tour only Matrix Ozik HD 7 TP shaft for over 7 years.  I like it so much I put a universal adapter on it a few years ago.  When I put the TSR 3 on my shaft I picked up 18 yards on average.  I really believe the shaft is the next and best avenue for driver yardages.

Just my two cents and there is a reason I am constantly .02 positive on my net worth (no one cares to hear it - lol)
If the club hasn't been in the bag for more than two full seasons, or stayed there while all its buddies were replaced a few times,
then hard to safely qualify it in this category.
Not that it won't qualify and stay in your bag for many moons ......... but for my money the winners here are the clubs that have resided in the bag for three or more presidencies!   Those are the bars of golfing gold!!!

For the last 10 years I have been in the golf club turnstyle.  I went from being a scratch or better golfer I climbed to nearly a 7 handicap.  I had three fittings and three sets of irons in 10 years, 3 putters and no improvements.   I spent about $10,000 on equipment.   I lost a bunch of weight and regained speed in my swing.  I had to switch back to stiff shafts.  I didn't know if I could keep the weight off so I just pulled my old clubs out of the basement.  My game was in free fall.  I had scores in the nineties three times in July 2023.  In August I switched back to my old bag of irons and putter.  I shot 68 the first round 71 the next and nothing over 76 since.  I loved golf again.  The irons looked terrible from over 10 years of wear and they were my second set.  My putter has scars all over it after 18 years of play.    I also had a back up putter but with an inch longer shaft.
I took my irons and putter and sent them off to be refinished and customized.  I can't wait to get them back from the golf garage with new grooves and clean finish,  including some awesome patriotic customization.  Total cost 25% of any of the irons I bought and half what I paid for the putters I bought.
I don't think anything in my bag is going to be up for change in quite a while!

I play set pitching wedge 46* pxg gen 6 I had the entire set bent to 4 degree gaps up from the p wedge.  My wedges work the same I have a 50* Cleveland RTX with 11 bounce and a wide sole.  My 54* is a Taylormade MD 3 Tiger grind 56*/12 bent to 54*/14, I love this sole grind and the face just rips balls when I need it to.  My final wedge is a Renegar 58* RXf 10* bounce.  I use them all around greens and only rarely hit a lob wedge full.  The rest I hit full or with feel.

As I said earlier I have a whole lotta putters and I'll be damned if I don't have a Positive Putter model C-1 in there. Bought it because at the time (back in the 90's) I was trying oddball putters. It is definitely different.

I had a similar issue with Club Champion.  I went thru a full bag fitting in Fairfax Virginia during Covid.
First of all I would never do a whole bag fitting in a day again.  I hit to many balls for irons and driver so the hybrids and fairways got small time and the putter was rushed while the wedges just got new shafts in my current wedges no real fitting involved.
When they came I struggled for a few months before giving up and going for an iron fitting at a different place.  After the fitting the fitter notice I was fit to 2 degrees upright but my irons were 2 degrees flat.  My fairways were never right for me they sliced 30 to 40 yards.  Driver was good.  The putter was great for my friend and he bought it for what I paid.  The wedges ballooned and lost over ten yards.
I played the same clubs for 20 years after my previous fitting.  (two different sets of the same irons)  Over the last year I have fitted to new irons, driver and hybrids.  I self fitted my wedges and went back to my old 3 wood and putter.
I bought several wedges from different companies based on MGS testing and a few I had used in the past.  I picked three brands plus set pitching wedge.
I fitted for irons at PXG because I played gen 3 irons and my clubs pro needed a favor and offered to get me a new set of Gen 6 irons as payment.  The irons are the black version and they are sexy looking and amazing feeling.  Our member guest had titlist doing outdoor fittings for free and I got Tsr 3 driver and Tsi 2 hybrids.  I love both.  My 20 year old custom putter looked like it's age but played like a dream come true so I recently saw Paige Spiranac's new putter in a video and decided to get mine rehabed to look as good as it plays.  I did lots of research and sent it to East Coast Custom Putters to get it in Rainbow PVD finish with so custom work as well.  Waiting to get it back but it will now look like the show piece and putt like a magic wand.

I forgot to say this part.  I feel that knowing the brand you want and getting fit by them vs CC they manufacturers fitter will work with every aspect of the club to get it like you need where CC just checks shaft then heads with little consideration for the brands specific adjustments.

I love my custom putter because it was built to fit me and my needs.   Anyone else using it will find it was not made for them but it feels good and rolls really well.   I would bet that if MGS pole what club position in your bag you have purchased the most putter would be the most followed by drivers.

Yes!  My favorite putter I owned was the Ping Doc17 that was huge and I had it forever.  It was so beat up and worn down I finally had to get rid of it.  Haven't found another one quite like it.  Just ordered the LAB because it seems to resemble the set up the most, so we shall see.

I had the luck/pleasure of bumping into a booth at a golf show here in No. Va.
The booth was for positive putters.  I had time to kill because my buddies were shopping for deals.  The booth had a very Christian oriented banner, I don't remember the specifics.  It also had a bunch of putters swinging wildly on an apparatus three were swinging wildly and one was perfectly swinging.  I was drawn in to watching with another gent who was very suspicious of the apparatus, he said it has to be rigged.  The third gentleman standing near said to him he could switch them any way he wanted.  He even showed him how to hang them.  He asked what kind of putter I played and said if I asked the booth across from him they would let me borrow one to hang.  I did and it twisted like crazy.  Just like the others.  The gentleman asked If I would like to try a putter made just for me.  I said sure why not?  He handed me a yardstick and asked me to close my eyes and take a putter setup.  He marked where my hands sat on the stick and used a protractor to check the angle of the yardstick at the ground for lie angle.  He asked me what I would like in style of putter and where the shaft would go.  He said If I came back in half an hour he would have a putter try.
I followed my buddies for a while and went back.  The putter a Positive Putter P2 33" and 70* lie angle.  He put it on his fingers and I stood toe up.  I rolled ten straight putts from 5 to 10 feet dead in the heart.  I was excited but unsure.  I figured it would cost a small fortune.   It was only $150.  That was back in 2008 it is still in my bag.  I have 2 now.  I sent the original to be rehabbed and beautified at East Coast Custom Putters.  I figured I would invest in what works rather than switch to a new putter to get a better looking putter.
