  1. He's gonna mail me the shafts that's why haha so I have to commit since he was been fitted for these hahaha
  2. Thanks for the input! I would just be swapping shafts with a friend for the red TR since they want the blue velocores i play right now. The Blue TR I use in my driver is on point. I hit the majority of fairways with my current build. I was originally thinking about going TR blue for the 4w while keeping the 7w 8x blue. But my buddy wants to trade his 7x and 8x red TR. I think the reason I am drawn to the red TR is because of the ease of getting the ball up in the air with a softer tip along with the ultra stiff handle like the ventus black compared to the Blue. The 8x I play in my 5h is starting to feel light. Here are some of the numbers I have with my current set up.
  3. Hey all! I was wondering what’s the logic behind descending weights as you move down the bag for the driver to hybrid. I currently play a Ventus Blue TR 6x (68g) in the Driver, Ventus Blue 7x (77.5g) in the 4 and 7 wood, and Ventus Blue 8x (86g) in 5 hybrid. Im thinking of swapping out the blue in the 4w, 7w, and 5h to the Ventus Red TR 7x (78g), Ventus Red TR 8x (89.5g), and Ventus Blue 9x (94g), respectively. Thanks in advance for any input!
  4. Now there is something I didn’t know! Thank you for the tip!
  5. You know I’ve been having problems uploading my converted HEIC pics to jpg. I’m trying to find a way to upload this pics. Just don’t judge my simple set up HAHAHA!
  6. Hey Everyone! My name is Jordan and I, like all of you, are masochists when it comes to the game we all love and hate at the same time haha! First things first! BIG SHOUTOUT to Putt Out for giving us the opportunity to test this product! I’ve been wanting to try this ever since they opened the tester slots! Of course, I cannot forget to thank the MGS team for giving me the opportunity to report my findings! Here is a little about me, I am from Las Vegas and I’m really lucky to be able to play year-round. I always block off every Sunday to play 18 anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley. I have been golfing since I was 13 years old. At first, I did not take the game seriously and it was only after college that I started to fall in love again with golf. My current handicap is 6.3. I can confidently say that the WEAKEST part of my game is putting. I am one of those Bettinardi cult followers who always thinks changing putters would solve all my problems. (ABSOLUTELY WRONG! HAHA) I can wholeheartedly say that the “ITCH” is real when it comes to this crazy game! It’s something that I am constantly researching 24/7 on how to tinker or improve my game! I will be using my Putt Out medium putting mat, premium pressure putt trainer, my trusty Bettinardi Inovai Wizard 8.0 putter & Bettinardi Inovai 6.5 tour prototype, and Titleist ProV1x for this heads-up match with the Devil Ball. When it comes to putting, my miss is usually a push. I believe that it’s due to the fact that the face is open at impact and I don’t have enough to hang on my putter. So to test my hypothesis, I will be using two putters, one with 1/8 toe hang (8.0) vs one with 1/4 toe hang (6.5). I will conduct my testing by using the different putting drills offered by Putt Out. These drills will be conducted indoors as well as outdoor putting green. I excited to report my findings to the MGS fam and hopefully, along the way, my putting will improve, even if it’s just slightly HAHAHA! FIRST IMPRESSIONS (9/10) As a devout disciple of PuttOut training aids, they definitely do not disappoint. The quality of their product is consistent with the products I have grown to love over the years. From the unboxing to getting the Devil Ball in play whether it be indoors or outdoors (for my fellow desert golfers!), you can feel how premium the Devil Ball truly is! What I truly like about the Devil Ball is the portability factor of it. It comes with a handy dandy traveling pouch where it fits the 2 Devil Balls and alignment puck. I also find it convenient that the tag of the pouch has the QR code that will give you access to all of PuttOut's recommended putting drills. This is definitely something I can see myself bringing to the course or on those weekend golf trips to make myself feel even worse about my putting HAHA! The first thing that stood to me was the weight of the Devil Ball, the best way to describe it felt like mini medicine balls that provide instantaneous feedback upon impact. Me being the overconfident putter I am decided to start on the hardest setting. As I have eluded to before, the Devil Ball definitely makes me question how could have I ever thought I was a decent putter. I did 20 putts from 4 feet on the Pro setting, and it was a consistent pull. Every miss hit was accompanied by a firm thud in terms of feel off my putter face. My normal miss is push but I am intrigued as to why I pulled about 66% of my putts with this. At this point in my testing, I felt the Pressure Putt Trainer wasn't necessary since I couldn't hold my target line. I proceeded to do another 20 putts on the intermediate and beginner settings. I noticed a slight improvement in the strike and feel as progress to the beginner setting. After 60 putts with the Devil Ball, I can safely say it's making me second-guess my putting ability but in a good way. As with anything new, with constant repetition, I can hopefully not pull putts on the pro setting HAHA! I am excited to report back my findings as the weeks/months go by! FINAL REVIEW AESTHETICS (20/20) The Putt Out Devil ball is by far the most portable of the putting training aids I have owned. The travel case provided does not take up too much space in the bag and is well-made. The alignment disc and 2 training balls have sustained several putts every day and are still holding strong! This is definitely a GO in terms of durability! PRACTICE/PERFORMANCE (12/20) My initial impression of the Putt Out Devil ball has remained consistent throughout testing. This is one training aid that will definitely bring you down to earth if you think you’re a decent putter. Prior to testing this, I considered my putting ability to be the weakest part of my game. I’m not going to lie, I definitely lost confidence after the first 150 putts (50 with each difficulty level) with the Devil Ball. Even though the majority of putts with the Devil Ball were all over the place, slowly but surely I started to regain confidence in my stroke. It all boils down to how determined you are to improve your putting. This training aid will definitely test your patience but if you persevere through the rough patches, I believe you’ll be better off in the long run. THE NUMBERS (20/20) While I did lose confidence in putting, the varying difficulties provided by the Devil Ball, showed me something GLARING with my putting stroke! My push miss was consistent regardless of the difficulty level. I tend to struggle with scoring putts (less than 10 ft) and even though my push miss remained, it forced me to rethink my set-up, grip, etc. It was only by making changes minor tweaks to the mechanics of my stroke I was able to see a slight improvement (better than nothing HAHA!). My putts 10 ft and less were starting to roll better and on target. I did notice that there was some translation to the course as well. When I miss putts on the course, I am now able to pinpoint where the mistake is. Off-center strikes with the Devil Ball punish you with the putter version of a slice, and when I push putts, I at least understand now what I need to dial in more. After 600 putts (200 per difficulty level) at the various drill distances recommended by Putt Out as well as the stroke change, I noticed an upward trend. Prior to using the Devil Ball, I would drop 50% of my putts from less than 10 ft. After using the Devil Ball, I am happy to see my drop percentage jump up to 65%. Though it may not seem a lot, I have definitely saved a few 3 putts in the rounds I have played because of the Devil Ball. I feel the more time I get with the Devil Ball, I can only hope I can achieve a 75 to 80 % drop rate! THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE IN-BETWEEN (15/20) I can wholeheartedly say that the Devil Ball literally changed my approach to putting. With that said, to say that this is a VERY FRUSTRATING training aid would be an understatement. After seeing my putts look like slices on the ground, I felt I needed to adapt to the Devil Ball in order to achieve its true benefit. For someone who originally started putting left-handed to switching back to a full righty, my putting mechanics are all over the place. So I consider this a blessing in disguise since I needed to really analyze everything when it comes to putting. Even though I improved by 15% on my less than 10 ft putts, I feel this is could target a specific demographic of golfers. I also believe that even though the feedback is instantaneous and exactly what you would expect from a training aid, it could be demoralizing for some. Then again, its definitely on the golfer to push past this particular roadblock. Even though it sounds so cliche, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard”, and the Devil Ball definitely pushed me in the right direction! PLAY IT OR TRADE IT (6/10) I can confidently say I will be keeping this for the sole reason that it is putting me on the right path to being a better putter! Scoring opportunities from less than 10 ft are something I must continuously work on in order to drop my scores even more! This will be my go-to training aid to build my confidence that I can drop the 10-footers for birdie consistently! CONCLUSION The best word to describe the Devil Ball is a roller coaster HAHAH! The constant up and downs while using this lit a fire under me to start from scratch and lock in! Even though I felt determined to conquer the Devil Ball, it may not be for some. However, if you struggle with putts less than 10 feet like myself, its to jump on the ROLLER COASTER and enjoy the RIDE! FINAL SCORE 82/100
  7. I got some numbers for y’all! Both weights felt fine and it didn’t feel like I was losing the head in the back swing! Thanks for any input!
  8. I just recently picked up a Ventus Blue TR 6x for my TSr3. That shaft was 43.25 from grip to tip without an adapter. With the adapter and head it measures out to 44.75 playing length. Only strange thing I've noticed, is the swing weight of my driver. For the weight of my TSR3, I have been playing +2 gram weight (10g) but swing weight with the Blue TR is D5.5 (D6 to make it easier). I was always under the impression when you play a shorter shaft you have to account for more weight that needs to be added to compensate the length lost. I checked my driver swing weight with different weights and it revealed this: 6g D3.5 =4 8g D4.5 =5 10g D5.5 =6 12g D7.5 =8 Since the stock swing weight is D4 at 45.5 playing length, would you go with the -2 (6g weight) or Standard (8g weight)? I understand it goes against the normal convention of adding weight to the head to bring it to the stock swing weight. Any input for would be helpful!
  9. Hey everyone! I am debating upgrading my 5 hybrid shaft to either a Ventus Blue 8x or Tour AD DI 85x. The current shaft Im using right now is a Tensei White Raw AV 90x. I recently made the switch to Ventus Blue Velocore in my driver (6x), 4 wood (7x), and 7 wood (7x). I was able to try both and got very similar numbers with both shafts. With that said, would it be best to keep it consistent with the blue or go DI? I appreciate the input in advance! Thank you!
  10. I actually went ahead and got the 130 ZNEs installed on my 50,54,58 and I must say on full shots they are extremely solid! The weighting and the stoutness of the shaft feel great as the head cuts through the turf! When it comes to green side chipping and pitches, I like the feedback it gives. The way the shaft performs out of thick rough keeps the ball on my target line. My old DG TI S400 wedge shafts would get caught up in thick rough and my usual miss is left. For the ZNE's, it keeps it steady on whatever my target line is. With that said, I can definitely see people seeing this as a gimmick but for my personal game, I definitely am sold on these! Hope it helps!
  11. Hey everyone! I just recently tried the Ventus Blue Velocore 6x in my TSR3 and absolutely loved it! Definitely feels better than the 1K black 65x I currently play! My question is would the ventus blue translate to my 4 and 7 wood as well? I included the numbers from todays sim session. I currently HZRDUS Black 4g 70 and 80 6.5, respectively. Thanks in advance for any input!
  12. Thanks for clarifying brother! I went to a local club champion and that was my takeaway that the Tensei White Raw AV I was playing was a retail shaft etc. If anything, I am trying to find the closest match with the shaft I currently play. Thanks for your input!
  13. Hey everyone! I just recently switched over to the TSr3 9 degree with a Tensei 1K Black 65X and TSr2 16.5 and 21 degree with HZRDUS Black 70 6.5 and 80 6.5, respectively. I was wondering if Ventus Black Velocore would be considered the "closest" to my current set up for the top of the bag? I know that I am comparing retail shafts vs aftermarket but having hit the Ventus Black in the past, it is extremely solid! Driver swing speed is about 108 for me. If I were to put the ventus black in the bag, I probably would match my current weight set up 65, 75, 85. Thanks in advance for any input!
  14. whats up man DLow! It's JR from betti talk HAHA
  15. Thanks for all the responses everyone! I agree that it should be installed in a versatile wedge like the 54 or 58! My buddy is giving me a deal on three of these 130 shafts for 360. I’m just unsure if the 50 really needs one. Also 130 would make the most sense since I’m playing s400 currently right?
  16. Hey everyone! I currently play DG TI S400 for my 50,54,58. I just recently watched TXGs Ian Fraser do a wedge fitting with this new BGT Zne Shaft and it definitely got me curious since I am firm believer of the stability shaft on all my putters. I’m curious, if I were to try one out what wedge would you pick to test? In the video, it was on Ian’s 54 but I want to get the MGS fam input on the matter before pulling the trigger. Thanks very much everyone!
  17. For a minute there I thought it was too stiff for me even though its not that typical block fade you'd see if the shaft was too stiff haha. I think youre right though, the TX is really tripping me up. It makes me feel I am not worthy to use that shaft HAHAHAHA! Most of my shots with the 7 wood with the 85TX have a tendency to draw/hook. The shop I bought it from told me its tipped 2 inches that's what got me worried it might be too stiff haha. I appreciate your feedback!
  18. Hey everyone! I recently got a 7 wood that came with a Tour AD GP shaft but unfortunately the shaft is all sorts of messed up from the previous owner. I ended up grabbing a Tensei White Raw AV 85 TX shaft instead. I was looking at the specs off Mitsubishis website and noticed the only difference between the 85 X and TX is 0.1 torque. Im curious is there really any difference between the X/TX? Here are some numbers from the simulator today. The 85 TX is on my 7 wood (21) and my 4 wood has the same shaft but in 75X. Based off this small sample size do you think I can get away with using a TX in the 7 wood? Thanks!
  19. I will make the switch to the 16.5. I am leaning towards getting the 16.5 head so there's no adjustments necessary. In your opinion, is it safer to get a higher lofted head and if I want to drop it down or just stick with the 15 I have now? I like where your heads at HAHAH!
  20. Thank you for the reply! I fit the demographic of distance off fairway and second tee option. I consider my 3 wood the best club in my bag. I have a great deal of confidence with my 3 wood. I tried my 16.5 on my 15 yesterday and i definitely like the ball flight and how much easier it was to stop on the green. But as you mentioned I am concerned that I would be compensating more than i need to in the event my draw turns into a hook. I managed to hit the simulator just now and here are the numbers between the 15 and 16.5! Thanks again!
  21. Hey everyone! I wanted to get some feedback on an idea im trying to put in to motion. I currently have a TSi2 15 3 wood and I am replacing my TSi2 21 Hybrid for a 7 Wood. I found a great deal on a brand new TSi2 16.5 but for a preowned price. Is it worth it to get a head that is neutral 16.5 or should I just adjust my 15 head by 1.5 to achieve the same loft. I understand by increasing the loft I effectively close the club face. My normal shape is a slight to mid draw. I worry that it might accentuate it and it'll slowly start to turn into a hook. I appreciate any feedback! Thank you MGS fam!
  22. I currently play T100s 6-GW. My stock PW is 44 while my stock gap is 48. I just purchased a 50 SM8 but I’m debating if I should revert to the 46 degree SM8? The face on the t100s is a tad bit hot when it comes to bump and runs but I’m holding off for now until I get some input back from the community. Thanks everyone!
  23. Thank you bro! I added the pics now! hahah UP UP UP!
  24. what degree is the driver?
