  1. Stolen from a Facebook page.

In My Hand, I Hold A Ball,
    White And Dimpled, Rather Small.
Oh, How Bland It Does Appear,
    This Harmless Looking Little Sphere.

By Its Size, I Could Not Guess,
The Awesome Strength It Does Possess.
But Since I Fell Beneath Its Spell,
I've Wandered Through The Fires Of Hell.

My Life Has Not Been Quite The Same,
Since I Chose To Play This Stupid Game.
It Rules My Mind For Hours On End,
A Fortune It Has Made Me Spend.

It Has Made Me Yell, Curse And Cry,
I Hate Myself And Want To Die.
It Promises A Thing Called Par,
If I Can Hit It Straight And Far.

To Master Such A Tiny Ball,
Should Not Be Very Hard At All.
But My Desires The Ball Refuses,
And Does Exactly As It Chooses.

It Hooks And Slices, Dribbles And Dies,
And Even Disappears Before My Eyes.
Often It Will Have A Whim,
To Hit A Tree Or Take A Swim.

With Miles Of Grass On Which To Land,
It Finds A Tiny Patch Of Sand.
Then Has Me Offering Up My Soul,
If Only It Would Find The Hole.

It's Made Me Whimper Like A Pup,
And Swear That I Will Give It Up.
And Take To Drink To Ease My Sorrow,
But The Ball Knows ... I'll Be Back Tomorrow.
Stand proud you noble swingers of clubs and losers of balls ...

A recent study found the average golfer walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud.  I almost feel like a hybrid.

To an extent. When you dropped all those guys before it looked like you were giving up which I’m guessing is why your roster was locked.

This may come off wrong but IMO you are out of the playoffs therefore anybody on your team and inside the top 80 of the FedEx standings is undroppable.  As far as I concerned anybody rated there or higher should be undroppable not just for you but any team 11 games back or more. There is a difference between dropping someone to try to make the playoffs and just fielding a team.  I know that a team out of the playoffs that fields a team can potentially knock someone out of the playoffs this week but it shouldn’t be done by dropping those higher ranked players.

Again this is just my opinion and by no means law! Lol

If I had the chance to change players last week and had won 8, I would have been in 37th place.  I agree that now I have no chance and being realistic, probably never had a chance.

Just trying to load up a team with players that are participating two weeks ago and didn't realize there was no tourney while the Olympics were being played.  My mistake.

    What @blackngold_blood said

The only caveat to that is if you are honestly trying to field the best team possible, and is trying to add players who are playing this week and not  just throwing the towel throwing the towel

That script dosen't work out well for my FTx players 😝.  But, these low power ranked fields definitely increase the odds for first time winners.

Well, I had 5 starters this week and 3 of them WD and one didn't make the cut.  I still have one, but hate losing the points with the WDs.

  5. No wonder I suck at fantasy golf.  This is the 2nd time that we are not using a tournament and I changed up a lot of players to have them count this week.

Where can I see what tourneys are being used and where was it posted that the PGA would not be used?

    Forgive my stupidity!

  6. I was looking at the entries to this tournament and saw a name most of you have never heard of, Sonny Skinner.

I used to work with both of his parents at Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Ga.  I walked and followed him at a tournament in Hershey PA many years ago when I was in the area for work.  Just thought it was interesting to see his name again.

Here is a little about him from Wikipedia.

In the 1997 Buick Open, he tied the course record at the Warwick Hills Golf Course with a 62 but Billy Mayfair shot a 61 in 2001 to break the record. He failed to retain his card in 1997 but went through qualifying school for a fourth time to earn his card for 1998. He returned to the Nationwide Tour in 1999 where he would play full-time until 2004. He played on the Nationwide Tour part-time until 2010.

Skinner joined the Champions Tour in 2010 once he turned 50.

Skinner was named the PGA Professional of the Year in 2008 and the Senior PGA Professional of the Year in 2010, becoming the first person to win both awards. He is a PGA teaching professional at the River Pointe Golf Club in Albany, Georgia.

Go to Standings then select Results (it defaults to Regular Season). Then select your team, this will bring up the whole schedule of your matchups each week so go to the bottom and you'll see Valero Texas Open.

Thanks!  Hope I wasn't the only person who didn't understand this.  Wow!!

@gobama84Live scoring shows all players, if you select home and go down to matchups it will show the total with your top 4 scores.
This is a list with your matchups of your top 4 scores. It is a bit of weird thing with the site, but the live scoring doesn't show your actual score as it includes any and all players who you have on your team and are in the field that week.

How do I see these for yesterday?  I only see next week's matchups.

    Thanks!

  9. May have a hard time explaining this.

Aren't the scores of the top 4 players (Fantasy Team Stats Type) what should count. I was looking at a week of 8-2 with the top 4 players used.

This is what I think was used with PGA Stats Type chosen. All players scores count and it gave me a week of 6-4.

Here is what shows up when looking at Live Scoring.  It used all players points even if they were cut giving me the 6-4 score I got this week. Something is screwed up.

Sorry to hear that, don't give up though! Still lots of weeks left and anything can happen. Was a scramble of a time this last week and wasn't a easy decision by the league or commissioners, but the vote was a resounding yes for changing it to a BYE week. Hopefully a few tweaks here and there and you'll still be in the playoff hunt and after that anything can happen!

Yea, guess it is my fault for not being more active.  I would have voted for a bye week also.  I had nobody starting and why I dropped and picked up 4 players.  I'll get over it. I've decided to keep my changes.  Ha Ha, they probably won't be playing next week.
