  1. I have been using a Garmin Approach S62 for 3 years now. It is very good at showing essential information. But, combined with the club tags, this product should provide me with much more information on the course as well as feedback when drinking a cold one later.
  2. Having had it 30 years ago, I recognized it right away when I got it again. Started PT and then got my doctor’s prescription to continue with it. After six weeks I was back at the range.
  3. Happened to be near a Dick’s. Dropped in they had 6 boxes of the stripe in the back room, ready to be put on the shelf.
  4. Not sure how many of you have solved the problem of loose Golf Club Trackers, either ARCCOS or Garmin (I have glued both.). Anyway, after switching from ARCCOS to the Garmin CT10 last year, I used a little dab of gorilla glue to keep them solidly in my grips. Worked out great, no loose or lost trackers. Later, I decided to switch grips on my 7 iron to use consistent grips. I ripped off the old grip and the CT10 came right off. I cleaned the old glue off, installed the new grip and glued on the old CT10. Worked great.
  5. I have an OGIO, which has 15. Last Summer I switched to JumboMax XL Grips. They were great, but too large for my bag. I considered removing the felt part of the dividers, figured why ruin a good bag. I brought one of clubs to the local pro-shop and tried it on every bag in the shop. The OGIO was the only on with 14 or more that fit. So, I bought that one, and managed to sell my old one to a friend.
  6. Complete set of ARCCOS Sensor, plus Putter sensor and Link. $100 plus shipping from Virginia, or, pick up in Gainesville, VA.
  7. Same problem here. I got four JumboMax Ultralite XL grips Thursday, installed them, tested fine on the range. Then, discovered they did not fit the lower row of my Sun Mountain C-130. I am going to use three in the putter slot until I can figure something out with Sun Mountain or get a new bag.
  8. I recently scored a sweet deal on EBay for a XXIO Prime X 5 Wood. In near-new condition, but, no cover. I sent a message to XXIO asking if I could purchase a new/used head cover, explaining I got the club used. Their response was to send me a new one free. (All three seem to be the same company/distributor, which is fine.) Last year, I managed to break my used, 3 Wood shaft, when installing grips. They simply asked that I ship it to them. Two weeks later I got a re-shafted club free of charge.
  9. Set of ARRCOS Smart Sensors, Super Stroke Putter Sensor and Link. Best/First Offer over $150. Available in Gainesville, VA. (Switched to Garmin CT10s to match my Garmin S62.)
  10. Been using since April, with no problems. The original batteries lasted 4 months. Used outdoors only in the yard for SupersSpeedGolf and on the range. It seems pretty accurate on the range, compared with the markers. If I hit a low stinger it will mark the speed, but, not the length unless I raise it about two inches using an old ball box.
  11. Or, it is time to joint the PGA Circuit? Using the PRGR this morning for my SuperSpeedGolf exercises, and, it went haywire, flashing and then came up with this. I changed the batteries, which have lasted about 1000 drives.
  12. Good point, did not know I input to the official thread.
  13. Interesting discovery yesterday. I shot my worst round in two months, after playing twice a week since June. Looking back on the reasons I sucked, it was not my putting or sand rescues. Those were actually better than normal. It just seemed, and my ARCCOS post round data substantiated, that my 2nd and 3rd shots were consistently off by both distance and dispersion. On the 17th, a playing partner also commented that my 54 degree wedge shot that bounced over the green was solidly hit, just too little feel for the shot. I did my normal 5 shots per club warmup, although I was sweating a lot as it was upper 80s and high humidity at my 8:30 start time. The only distance was I had gone thru my Week 12 SuperSpeedGolf exercises at 7 that morning. I looked at my handicap scores and compared them with my exercise spreadsheet and discovered an amazing coincidence. My four worst rounds since April have been April 28, May 5, May 19 and July 28. Those were also the only four days where I did SuperSpeedGolf exercises and played on the same day. Moral of the story: I will continue to do the warmup exercises prior to playing, but, will not do the complete exercises prior to playing!
  14. Got the email from Arccos this morning and placed my order for the new and improved Link. Supposed to be a September delivery.
  15. So, on Wednesday I managed to clip a piece off my right index finger. Playing on Friday, I noticed my drives were 20 yards shorter and I had 5 misfits versus my normal 1-2. I did notice my 7 wood and hybrid were basically the same. I put on a right handed glove the second hole. I later verified my yardage with the Arccos report. Today, Saturday, I was doing my SuperSpeedGolf exercises and my average had dropped 5 mph on all clubs. I even tried with the right handed glove. My guess is this is going to take about two weeks to cure. Until then, I plan to play with both gloves.
  16. The pictures below are screen shots from the range on May 3 (Week 4) and June 27 (Week 10) of my SuperSpeedGolf. Ten mph increase in club head speed and 10 more yards from a 71 year old 18 months after a reverse shoulder replacement.
  17. What I have found most impressive after nine weeks is that the extra 25 yards on my drives means I can now play multiple clubs on my second shot instead of having to reach for the 3 wood.
  18. So much for club head speed for old guys. The sons and Grandsons came over on Sunday. I proudly told them how I have gone 80 to 95 in 9 weeks. After a few beers, we went out to try the yellow club. Grandsons 10 and 12 got 77 and 89. Thirty-six year old sons that hit the range twice a decade got 101 and 117. Cannot wait until next year, when I get in the 100s.
  19. Anybody take a week or so off to relax sore back muscles?
  20. Last time I was there, in 2012, the fairways were better than any green I ever played on.
  21. Any news n this year’s matches?
