As much as I l love a dark or black finish on wedges, there is certainly an upside to a plain satin finish.

I don't know about the other testers but one thing that has been really impressing me is the resilience of these wedges. The faces are barely showing a mark and the sole of my bunker club, the 56, is hardly scratched as well!!

Presidents Day update:  Played today with my son and grandson, awesome wedge day around the greens.  All three were nailing the spin and stop….worst shot was the 54 that I hit too easy and did not get it spinning enough to hold - releases off the side for a long comeback….best shot was a tie between the 50 and 58 - both had a hop and stop to less than 3’.  Gotta love when the wedge game gives solid confidence!!!

Day 40 (21 Feb 24) - played a pickup 9 when the plan was range session with a friend who last swung a club in ‘15 and prior to that another 15year gap.  He wanted to play and I was game (even though I had one of my older setups).  Was fun watching someone embrace the game again….

I have been trying to work on my hips working more properly in the swing this offseason. I recently watched a YouTube video with Kerrod Gray and he said something that for whatever reason resonated with me; getting the tailbone to work towards the target in the backswing. This should allow for more depth in the backswing and more room to move the club and hands through impact. He showed some drills using an alignment stick through the belt loops to demonstrate the turn we should be looking for, so I’ve put some of those into my practice routine. I feel like I have made some progress but still room to improve and will take time to have it become second nature. Took a screenshot of one swing that felt like I was doing a better job with the turn.

Also took a photo of my club face at one point after hitting 4 balls in a row out of the same spot. Slightly toe-y, but was still happy with the consistency. Just need to keep working at it so it becomes that more often.

Ref flattening lies. I can only speak to hybrids, but I play a TM Stealth+ 3H and I changed the hosel to the flat setting and that helped hugely with pull draws. I have a natural draw with irons and hybrid after going through a swing change last year, but with the change in lie the 3H is my most reliably straight long club and my go-to for tighter fairways. With fixed hosel hybrids I'd tried before the Stealth+ I didn't have that accuracy and would pull draw too much.

Day 39 (20 Feb 24) - Continued work with Divot Board using 7i and hard foam balls - focused on setup and getting consistent ball contact.  Even got the grandson in on the drill (once he got home from school).

Day 38 (19 Feb 24) - Played 18 today with son and grandson.  A little windy and chilly, but still fun.  Good day with the Indi wedges and the Odyssey putter, aka Millie,  as I had 4 up and downs for par, of the other 5 looks at par, one was for birdie and the others two putts for par.

Like the “tiger”, meh on the name.  For me if they had gone with El Tigre or something similar, I think it would have a wider appeal.  The clothing price point will likely be well north of the average golfer’s spend point….

I second that! For example Greyson has some good looking clothes but the price point is stupid

The Taylormade CEO rattled off some nonsense about the "rule of 3's" and it being “Born from a love for being outside in the sun, the joy of playing golf during the day, and a special red being the brand’s power color "
Honestly sounds like contrived tripe to me. That space in the word has possibly cut the initial sales targets in half at least, because everywhere I see people talking about it, people hate it, myself included. Also, the logo looks like a bad Tiger-themed knockoff of Greg's shark logo to me.

Congrats to all the testers - this will be a great testing season as you put these putters thru their paces.  I am looking forward to the comments, conclusions, declarations on the good, the bad, the ugly (well maybe not the last one)

    Have fun, test well!
