  1. I went w Ventus Blue in driver and fairways after playing hzrdus black and tensei orange shafts. I play tsi3. Can’t explain it, just a shaft I have no trouble working. All 3 of my metals have same feel to me. Btw, our numbers are almost identical except launch. I’m more down in the 11 range. You get a little more carry.
  2. Ulf, thank you so much. I really appreciate this!!! Have a great day!!
  3. Think about what situation you need that distance the most, try all 3 types and see what characteristics fit best for what you want to address. Personally, I love my 5 wood over a hybrid or 2 iron. It's like on auto-pilot. I prefer the versatility it gives me from the tee, rough, height to land and stop.....hell, I even use around the green as a chipper.
  4. Anyone know this iron or have manufacturer specs? Absolute beauty!!!!!!!
  5. Nothing better for the mind and soul than waking & carrying!! If the bag gets to be took much one day.....will buy a lighter bag and carry less clubs. I'm also thinking that the continued development of a versatile and fully adjustable single club will mean that I can get out there just carrying one club and a sleeve of balls in my pocket! Seen a few on the market over the years, but have not tried one yet....maybe I'll check it out in '23!

  7. I can only encourage you. I played sm4 for a few years. Sm8 and sm9 different iron. Much better flight window. Also found sm4 to drop off a lot on higher face shots just above sweet spot. New stuff is killer. Give it a try and let us know.
  8. Thinking about moving from JPX irons to Srixon MKII (Combo ZX7 & ZX5). Any Srixon players (current or past generation) on board with that move? Reply and share an experiences if you like.
  9. Anyone thinking of combo ZX7/5 at 7/6? Lofts seem pretty close. Curious why only 2 degrees between ZX5 4/5...seems tight gap.
  10. Anyone have insights into what new/upgraded products are expected to be introduced in 2023?
  11. 4-5 degree increments is my answer. For most players with avg to above avg speed, is about 2-3 yards per degree.
  12. Main goal.....have fun & enjoy time with playing partners! Statistical goal......30 or less putts. Pace of play goal.....Play each 9 in 2 hrs.
  13. I think you answered your own question.....your gamer v 225 in the SIM. Aside from carry, would focus on spin, launch ang and height.
  14. I played my last set for 20 years before replacing. 30-40 rounds per year and major range time. Honestly, still put them in the bag occasionally and don't see any difference in performance historically or vs. the new set. There is definitely something comforting about playing the same equipment long term. I just replace when I want to see shiny and new!
  15. Anyone have the specs for these irons made back in the 80’s? Loft, lie, length, swing weight, etc?
  16. Thinking of updating my 20+ year old Bushnell rangefinder. Why? Really don’t know because it works!
  17. Is Garmin due for a new/improved release of the Z82 in 2023?
  18. Is Garmin bringing out the next gen Z82 in 2023?
  19. Can't go wrong! SM9's are dart throwers....flight low/high...whatever you want.
  20. Aesthetically, I actually think the 921 looks better in Tour & Forged. Sounds like a few of the tweaks will help with turf performance for folks on the steeper side. New products = excitement
  21. I just ordered the 0211 10.5 today for $119.00 and free shipping! Can’t wait to put it in play!
  22. Hi folks: My dad is 86 and has been talking about getting new irons for a while. Historically, he tends to gravitate toward Callaway and Cobra brands, but would not say he's brand loyal. He's very reluctant to go for $1K+ for big brand new irons, so I was hoping this community could give me a few ideas on higher quality value brands/models, that he might be able to get into for around $80-$120/club. He is definitely interested in fitting and has always played extra length (he's 6'3") and want to make sure he gets right weight/flex shaft. As a younger man he played to +/- 5 Hcp and he still hits the ball solid with a crazy good shart game. Any suggestions appreciated.
  23. Pretty happy w my wedge setup. Higher bounces typically work better for me.
