ZAghdaei's Achievements

  1. Hey y’all! My name is Zac Aghdaei, but my friends either just call my Zac or ZAghdaei (pronounced Zag-Die), which is nickname a friend came up with for me a few months ago. I play for a Varsity High School team in the Pacific Northwest, and here’s my WITB: Driver: TM SIM Max 10.5* w/ UST Mamiya Proforce V2 66 S Flex 3 Wood: Callaway Mavrik Max w/ Project X Evenflow Riptide 60 S Flex 3 and 4 Hybrid: Ping G410 w/ Alta CB 60 S Flex 5-PW: PXG 0311 Gen 1 Irons w/ KBS C-Taper Lite 110 S Flex (these I purchased on sale when the Gen 2s came out, and they had a deal going online. I ended up buying a 5-PW + GW +SW + LW with custom shafts for under $1600. Which is still expensive. But when you consider the PXG price point the fact that I got custom shafts and got the wedges too, I actually did OK price wise) 50* (GW), 56* (SW), 60* (LW): PXG 0311 Forged Wedges w/ KBS 110 C-Taper Lite Wedge Flex Putter: Scotty Newport Square-back 1.5 Grips: GolfPride Tour Velvet Full Cord 60, Logo Down with 1 wrap Glove: Kirkland Full Leather (because I go through gloves like crazy) Ball: Kirkland 4-Piece (For the same reason ) Rangefinder: Caddy Tech 2.0 w/ Slope Shoes: FootJoy Limited Edition 2018 Ryder Cup Dryjoys Tour Team USA Color, OR Nike TW 71 All Blacks. I usually wear the FJ on flatter courses in the winter/if the course is really wet, and wear the Nike’s all other time. Bag: Ping Hoofer Monsoon during the rainy Pacific Northwest end of fall/winter/early spring, AND Ping Hoofer Multicam during the mid-late spring/summer/early-mid fall. I also have a Jones original carry bag, which I really only use on weekend if I’m going out with friends and we’re just playing for fun rather than competitively. Hat: I collect Golf hats everywhere I go and almost always wear a hat on the course. Head covers: For my hybrids and 3 wood I use the stock head covers, but for my driver I use a special one, it’s a bull from Daphne’s head covers, which symbolizes strength and reminds me to be mentally tough and focused through a competitive round. Final notes: I have a friend whose trying to buy my SIM Max off of me, which is good as I don’t love it anyway. Any suggestions for a new driver? I’m thinking Callaway Mavrik Max to match the three wood or a Ping G410 SFT? Low spin and distance is not as important to me as forgiveness and fairway finding. My iron game is good enough where I’m comfortable getting to the green as long as I put my drive somewhere in the fairway on a relatively ‘normal’ Par 4. Let me know! -Zac
